I'm getting a very Scorpion King/Prince of Persia/John Carter feel from this. Got the same from the very first trailer. :/ Don't know why everyone is going apeshit over this.

All those movie trailers looked like shit, that's why till this day I've never seen them.

This is on a different level.

I was hoping for a second trailer to sell me on the film. Sadly it still hasn't. I think I like this less then the first one for some reason!? I didn't care for the first trailer either. The humor in the very beginning of the trailer is what I'm fine with. If that type of tone is more representative of the film then great. The need to play up the humor in the film in the trailer overall and what they did at the ending of the first trailer is real turn off for me. I don't that and it's souring me on what they're trying to present. I still have no desire to see this and that's annoying me because I space adventures like this. I enjoyed the space comics of Marvel that I read. I actually have more time spent reading that then their other comics when I've tried over the years.

So the Nova Corps guys in the background, I assume that's the design of the Corpsman Ranked units.

I don't even understand. It's the same type of humor throughout the entire trailers.

ohhh fuck me this just gets better and better, most wanted movie all year, c'mon :)

James Gunn is awesome with Humour, loved Super... I know nothing about the comics but I am hyped as hell!!.

Whenever I read Rocket I always hear his voice in my head as a slightly annoyed Steve Buschemi. I didn't expect Cooper to go so gruff with it but I dig it.

I don't think the music choice worked as well as in the first trailer, but man, the movie does look good.

It feels like a comic book in the best sense of the word. Sweet, stylized visuals and high energy and over-the-top action. It also seems to really nail the pulpy, sci-fi genre elements.

So many comic book movies are boring because they try and make it too realistic and they don't embrace the more far out aspects of the source material, but this one doesn't look like it's shying away from any of it.

Also, seeing Ronan in a movie is just plain cool.

Looks fun. I'll enjoy it.
Still think it will bomb, at least domestically. Too sci-fi, too "weird looking aliens" for girls to join their boyfriends into the theaters and no star factor to convince them to watch it whatsoever.

What kinda girls are you hanging out with?! Every girl I know is totally hyped for this movie. And I haven't even talked to them about this trailer.

If there's a problem with the trailer, I think it's that it didn't play up the sci-fi epic angle enough and instead was much more light-hearted than I expected for something like Guardians of the Galaxy.

Also, I'd never heard of Chris Pratt (haven't watched Parks and Rec) but he nails every line in that trailer. Seems like a movie star I can actually enjoy watching for a change.

Marvel's brand is much stronger post-Avengers than it was before.
Cap 1 (pre avengers) - 370mill worldwide
Cap 2 (post avengers) - 700mill worldwide and climbing
Thor 1 (pre avengers) 449mill worldwide
Thor 2 (post avengers) 644mill worldwide

People underestimate the MCU films. This movie will break 400mill+ worldwide and this isn't some "armchair analysis" this is a fact. GOTG will become a new marvel trilogy and Rocket Raccoon? His merch is already hot and it's only going to get hotter.

Did they spell Batista wrong? Lol.

Also, this looks pretty good, looks like we'll get the best visuals in a Marvel Studios movie to date.

Nothing in the trailer seemed particularly out of place for the series. I mean, this is the same series that gave us lines like this:
