So next month we are getting Sly4(crossbuy with PS3), Pixel Junk shooter (crossbuy with PS4), Terraria and mutant mudds. Best vita month ever!

TPP: Buy SS: Delta while the bonus dlc lasts. If you have not played SS before get it right away.

Edit: Guess Pixel Junk is crossbuy in EU only if blogposts are to go by. FU SCEA.

Anyway, anyone find it weird that the R&C Vita thing isn't on the US blog? Are SCEA not going to release it, or are they really saving that for an E3 announcement? I don't recall any NA retailers leaking it.
It's possible it's been delayed because SCEA doesn't have all the details ready yet, or it could have been held back to avoid pushing other stories off the front page.

More PS4 games per month? PS+ keeps getting better and better.

Free garbage is free garbage. Take that however you want. :P

Lots of stuff is cross-buy only in EU. All those pro-consumer laws that the US/NA has no idea about.

What's the "bonus DLC" for SSD? I didn't even really realize it was out (if it wasn't for cyborg PMing me).

----

Some more tips for anyone who wants to attempt Muramasa Fury mode:

(1) Learn to juggle. Popping enemies into the air allows you to stay away from danger on the ground as well as to continually cause damage. with long swords you can repeat combo across the entire screen until the enemy drops out after popup. With regular swords, you need to stop after the 2nd or 3rd hit and do the "hold attack, press right/left" air dash attack to pop them up a little higher. after 3 cycles, you have no more air dashes and can then finish the full combo. Always try to pop a downed enemy up of the ground with your up+attack if there is no immediate danger to you doing so... even doing up+attack, air dash x3, down+attack works well.

(2) If you have money to spare, use it on food items that don't require you to be at less than 100% health. Depending on your need for whetstones and such, you should have plenty of money. If you do this, you can put them on item shortcut and always be eating something... this will ensure that when you get a new sword and open up new paths in the forge menu that you have enough spirit to forge whatever is available. I just did this on my way to Momohime final boss #2... this way when some of the final swords are available, I can just use her to forge them due to huge spirit bank.

(3) If you have the patience and skill (in some cases), when you hit those areas that have enemies by default (instead of random encounters) kill everyone if you can. This will assure that you get bonus XP (and extra money). Also remember that the opposite applies -- if there's a screen where you keep dying and you can just dash to the exit, use the up+attack and air dashes to get there safely and just move on.

(4) Figure out which sword abilities work best for your gameplay style. Also figure out which abilities are exploitable to deal heavy damage during boss encounters. Tempest and Gale abilities (from Kisuke swords) are ridiculously broken.

(5) There is an accessory that shortens quickdraw recharge time. Quick draw does HUGE damage, so you can use this to help you out.

If I think of any more, I'll post it later.

I don't have many PS4 games to play right now, so two PS4 games a month will be an improvement for me. I'd rather take free PS4 garbage than free PS3/Vita garbage.

The bonus DLC are all costumes, nothing special.

....Or maybe its another garbage port? Keep in mind that the PS2 Ratchet and Clank games shared similar (or the same?) engine that the Jak games used; it could be that the R&C games are just as difficult to port over as the Jak games. It also doesn't help that Idol Minds is working on this (the same people that ported over R&C: FFA aka the worst port on Vita X(), so if they had issues with that, it doesn't indicate that they will do this well :(.

I would love to have portable R&C, especially Up Your Arsenal (man I LOVE that game growing up; beat the game SIX times, loved it that much :D), but considering the quality of the Jak Collection, I have my doubts :(.

I would be better if Sanzaru was porting this (as they did a perfect job with the Sly Collection and Sly 4 Ports :D; they even did a solid job with the God of War Collection port....shrinking down a 15GB collection into a 3.1 one...very impressive :)), but they aren't, so who knows :l.

If this isn't cross-buy in NA/EU, then I have higher hopes for this; that indicates that Sony is confident enough in the port to the point its is a quality one (like the Sly Collection). They game GOW Collection via Cross-Buy in both territories due to the collection only being good (the FMV's look horrid for example :l) and did the same with Jak in EU for similar reasons (though that was a significantly work collection; dat frame rate X().

I hope this turns out well at the very least; Insomniac DID say that they wouldn't put a Ratchet and Clank game on Vita if it wasn't up to their standards (explaining the lack of a Ratchet Nexus port to Vita despite all the indications it was originally a cross-buy game; just look at the trophy list for proof).

Yeah, I guess.
I mean, I keep adding them to my list, but I've not been impressed by anything other than Resogun for if I ever buy a PS4.

A rehash of the PJS games? No thanks -- I played both (and didn't really enjoy them) on PS3 due to the ridiculous number of sales they've had.
Trine 2? This was free for PS3 PS+ at some point, so I've already played it. :)

And thanks for the update on SSD... I can't justify $37 for an update. When it hits $20 or lower, maybe, if some of you guys are still playing.

Check out the OT. SSD isn't just an update, there's actually a ton of new content. The $36 price is justified IMO, and I'm sure almost everyone who bought the game would agree.

if it only was an update....

I still think it's more of an update than a new full price $40 release. If they had asked $30 for it, maybe I would've caved -- but 7 new bosses (I think that was my count off the japanese website) and a new story line are not enough to get me to buy the game again. Anyone who skipped SS would be stupid not to get it, but as a day one SS buyer, I'm not impressed and won't spend more than $20 on it max. The infinite boss rush thing and random quest generator sound cool and maybe some of the new offerings are cool, but all that stuff sounds like DLC to me.

ohh are we getting vanillaware games next month?

6 months from now, maybe.

I think its worth the price

Just not for me right now since none of my buddies seem interested in buying it just yet

They all want to finish the original first (lol) since a few of them got it for free recently on Plus

Since all the original content is there, they should just transfer their saves... this way they won't feel ripped off if they beat soul sacrifice and then buy delta at $40.

The only reason why SSD is considered an expansion at all is because the original Magusar story is still there. Even if the original story were removed, there would still be more than enough new content and gameplay changes to justify full price. I guess you'll just have to wait to be impressed/overwhelmed then. ;)

I bought it 3 times, i dont regret it

Agreed; the new content vastly outweighs returning content, making the game worth the "steep" price of entry (which is only steep depending on your perspective, I would've paid $50).

Terraria redeems this month for me.

Anyone know if Pixeljunk Shooter Ultimate is going to be cross-buy? It mentions Cross-Play/Save in the post but no buy

Great stuff. I'll be attempting to tackle it soon, as I am on the final act of Momo. Question for you...are those challenge trees where you fight waves of enemies ok places to level up? Logic says yes, due to insane amount of enemies, but I swear sometimes random fights gives me close to half the required exp to level up.

I can't believe the amount of complaining that goes on in the Playstation Blog every month about the games being added to the collection.

Yearly sports games getting put up is kinda bullshit, though. Anyone who cares enough about basketball to want to play 2K14 already bought it when it came out. Not to mention two months in a row with sports games taking up one of the PS3 slots kinda sucks for those of us who don't care for them, as well.

Yeah but my understanding is that they are only up there for a month or two before they are replaced. I always like playing new games whether its a sports game or something else.

Really jealous of Muramasa & Dragon's Crown, EU PS+ is poopin on us. But the two PS4 games a month makes up for it. Don't know if I can stomach controller over mouse for Terraria.

Really wish they'd cycle out the 'yearly' Vita games though.

It's not like it would have stopped me from buying physical, but I really should have paid attention to find out that Sly 3 in the Sly Collection on Vita is a download code, and the game card is just Sly 1 & 2. It didn't say on Amazon, but someone's video review probably did. Needed nearly 2500 MB for that.

Thanks, Sony. I really don't appreciate that. I already bought an 8, then a 32, then a 64... you don't have to try and force me to buy your memory cards like that.

I doubt it could impress me.

Capcom has repeatedly offered SF4 updates for $15 with what I consider probably as much content. All sorts of system tweaks, new endings, new combo challenges, new features... USF4 is something I'll buy day 1 for $15... I'm foaming at the mouth to be able to pre-order it on PC.

To me, this is more like UMvC3 where there should have been a DLC update for those who purchased the original game at full price. Instead, everyone is forced to rebuy the game again at full price if they want to play and have the latest. I bought it used in that case and I'd buy SSD used now if I could... but since I'm pretty much 100% digital, I have no real options to get a used code here...

Those are great spots to level up, though the only real leveling you need to do centers around being able to meet the strength/vitality requirements for swords you want to use. The enemies scale with your level, I think, so as you do more damage and get better swords, you're enemies get tougher.

The ones you want to use, if you're going to do that, is to use the ones you point out that are big waves of enemies. When you get far enough, let them hit you so you die... you'll respawn at the cave entrance but keep any levels/exp you gained.

Shooter being crossbuy saved the day. It's the first vita game I'm interested in I got with + since december

EU only. FYI.

Is this the Vita general? I want to say how good the new Mahouka game looks, and express how sad I am that it will never get localized.

Bamco pls

Pretty much, this is like "VitaGAF and Friends" or some $#!7. Haha.

I too am sad that it'll likely never get localized, though you never know these days
(and with Vita)
. Look at Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment, it's a Bamco anime game and it got localized.

Bamco's decisions are kind of confusing. One Piece and Sword Arts Online are getting localized while other games such as God Eater 2 are stuck in limbo. :(

Pixeljunk on vita will be free too via cross buy? Nice :)

Is it cross save too? If not I think I'll stick with the vita version

Can't wait for Terraria on my Vita! I played a ton of it on PC a few years ago, but it should be fun if I can adjust to the controls. Never played Mutant Mudds either so I'll give it a shot. I didn't love the 3DS demo, though.

I already own Dragon's Crown so I'm not too jealous of EU this month :)

Can I blame them for not getting a digital Vita release of the Oreimo PSP games too?

And man, this new iDOLM@STER game looks so fun, I wish we could get that.

I feel I'm about to go back to my days of playing games in japanese struggling to go through menus. Back then I didn't even understand english, so it didn't make a difference, but now it'll probably be much harder to deal with.

If I do decide to go on that dark path again, I'll start with EX Troopers.
