Yes, and it looks like it's going to be awesome. I know a few people that are hyped for that movie.Did you know they made another Planet of the Apes movie?
I certainly didn't until recently.
I love you Dr. Zaius
It being good doesn't mean it won't bomb though.I actually saw a review saying it's REALLY good
I had to google to find out what that was, and what the hell? How have I never heard of that? The film looks shit-tastic.
No kidding, eh? GI Joe Retaliation had the potential to tank big-time (the huge delay, lousy reviews) but it did great.Didn't have The Rock starring in it.
That dude can make a stinker profitable.
It completely went under my radar.Yes, and it looks like it's going to be awesome. I know a few people that are hyped for that movie.
Unfortunately, I think it's either going to be Edge of Tomorrow, or Jupiter Ascending. Both look fantastic, and original Sci-Fi is exactly what Hollywood should be pouring blockbuster money into. But the audiences just don't seem prime to agree.
Maleficient or Edge of Tomorrow are my votes.
I mean...who wants these movies? I'm not sure anymore.
1. Jupiter Ascending ($150m budget)
2. Hercules ($110m budget)
3. TMNT ($125m budget)
Guardians of the Galaxy
Jupiter Ascending: THE MEGATHREAD
Maleficent? Lol
It's already not a bomb
Friday Update #3: Sources tell BoxOffice that Maleficent is trending for an opening day north of $25 million (including Thursday's night $4.2 million), which would set it in course for an excellent $80-85 million weekend.
I don't know. A fancy looking action romance flick starring Tatum and Kunis will probably draw a lot of money from the Twilight crowd. I expect it to be a surprising hit even if most of the intended sci-fi audience hates it.
Edge of Tomorrow is an adaptation of a Japanese novel. That's why it was made.
I wonder how Edge of Tomorrow would've been with Will Smith as the main lead instead of Tom Cruise.
They'd have to shoe horn in his son some how.I wonder how Edge of Tomorrow would've been with Will Smith as the main lead instead of Tom Cruise.
Wait, you think TMNT will bomb? You're going to be in for a rude awakening.
To be fair, Edge of Tomorrow is based on a Japanese light novel, so I wouldn't call it original, but Jupiter Ascending just looks bad to me, I want to change my vote to that.
I hope both Guardians of the Galaxy and Edge of Tomorrow are massive successes.
I hope.

I mean who is this movie for? I guess for the Disney fans, but are there really enough of them to beat out those going to see X-men in it's second week, and the huge crowd waiting to see Seth McFarlane's follow up to Ted? I really doubt it.
I actually saw a review saying it's REALLY good
Guardians of the Galaxy
Yeah.
What even is this? Looks like some off-brand kids show and one of them is a raccoon and another is a tree.
As a big TMNT fan in the 90's, nothing about this movie makes me excited. The designs look terrible and they cast the talent-less Megan Fox as April. Not to mention it's being directed by Jonathan Liebesman, who's made some of the worst movies ever. I would not be surprised at all if this movie gets panned by critics across the board.
Also, is TMNT still popular with kids today? I have young nephews and they showed no interest in the movie when we saw the trailer a while ago.
Nope, I think Maleficent is going to be a big thing because Disney.
Its going to be Guardians of the Galaxy.
22 Jump Street does ok.

TMNT is insanely popular with kids today, last time I was in target there was an entire isle dedicated to the toys and every kid I see has a turtles backpack or toy in there hand.As a big TMNT fan in the 90's, nothing about this movie makes me excited.
