What direction is that? Personally I hope they steer clear of that love triangle crap between Stiles, Malia, and Lydia. I want to see some more emotional moments, I enjoyed those in S3.
The show has done a good job avoiding love triangles so far so I don't think you have to worry about that.

What I want:
1. A real Stiles relationship of some kind. I am not picky.
2. All the characters are pretty much immersed in the supernatural at this point. I am hoping that the new characters don't adjust as well.
3. Also. Stiles needs to become a druid (may be wishful thinking). His role as the useless comedy relief character is kind of played out.
I'd call Stiles many things but useless he ain't he's basically the driving investigative force throughout the whole series not to mention he was basically the only one trying to figure out the Darach murders at the beginning of Season 3.

Yeah, you're right. I forgot about the interview where Davis said he wasn't big on love triangles.
I'd say Stiles isn't useless, he's basically the dude who figures everything out along with Lydia. But the end of S3B showed him taking off all the detective shit off of his room, I wonder if he's done being the one who investigates everything.

I meant useless in relative terms. He is damn important to the plot, but he is perceived as the useless character in that he has no superpowers or combat/magic skills to speak of.
I think letting him slip back into his previous role after season 3 pt. 2 would be a big mistake.

Ido'nt mind Stiles not getting powers and I also don't mind him with powers it could go either way with me.

Maybe. I suppose if they had one person who they needed to protect for a COMPELLING reason, they could pull it off.
If they revert to just that at this point I feel thaat they would undo the character development they have done with him thus far.
But the supernatural stuff wasn't even him, not really.

I feel like he has evolved past the point of "hey... I sit around and come up with ideas now and again" role that he played the first couple seasons.
He needs to be a more proactive character going forward. As opposed to the reactive character that he was in seasons 1/2.

Not a regular regular, but it means he'll be sticking around for sure.
Being a full fledged regular on the show is actually a pretty tough thing to get. There's a lot of behind the scenes/corporate stuff that's involved.
