they always do a "beta" with developers. its super easy to use the beta if you know how to download things off the internet, ie pirate. Apple doesnt seem to care anymore like they did awhile back.

which is why they started the Public Beta plan.

Yeah they bought in February I think, and immediately cancelled android support, lol . No big deal, Testflight is ideal for iOS because it's a lot more difficult sharing development versions of apps.

I'd say the direct competitor here is Google Drive, where you get 15 GB for free. And you can backup an infinite amount of photos if you're OK with them being downscaled to 2048 px on the longest side.
