PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | June 2014

Question for Vita GAF

I am thinking of importing a Japanese game to play on my US Vita. Do I have to have a separate memory card for that? Not worried about trophies or anything just saving the game.

Does that require me to format it when I want to play the game?

Not for a physical copy. You just wont be able to take advantage of its online features/dlc

Why is it so hard to find an official replacement AC adapter for the Vita in the UK? I have my current one connected to the docking station, and wanted another to keep in my bag.

Not feeling that "Reaper" game. I don't like who the character moves, at least for what I've seen in the trailer. And I said it before and I'll keep saying it. I want a isometric RPG on the system, when is somebody going to release one on the damn thing? I hoped NIS would announce The Witch and the Hundred Knights to the Vita since they've ported Disgaea games in the past, but it hasn't happened yet :(

I love that Don't Starve is coming to the Vita though. Amazing game.

Yup

Its completely region free in the traditional sense. The only areas it gets tricky is for things that require PSN account infrastructure

Particularly DLC/Patches etc...

RB2 came with a D/L code for 15 songs, this D/L code also allowed you to export your songs to RB3 (when that title came out). All others (Lego, AC/DC and Green Day) export with the code in the package. All of these are 1 time use codes, and I am not sure you can buy them on the playstation store.

Unfortunately, I am not as familiar with RB3 song export as with the other titles, but I think you can export them to Blitz as well. You may need to check the Harmonix forums for how to do that though.

Rock Band: Beatles does not support song export.

Thanks for the info, I never really got into RB much but I did like the PSP version. Does Blitz ever go on sale?

I think Borderlands 2 digital sales being lower than SSD has more to do with it taking over 5gb (including dlc) than it does with it "flopping". I know I bought a physical version because I didn't want a fifth of my memory card taken up by one game.

Not saying it's setting the world on fire, but I think digital sales for this one would have suffered no matter what at that size...

Still no freezes in BL2. Got down to sub-10 FPS though, encinerationing mission (last mission for the firehawk cult) really threw a lot of fire effects at me, like the captain flynt battle.

Oh, it does. Picking up Xilla was a last minute choice (I really wanted it on disc and it was $10 a few months ago), but I couldn't resist. I now have 4 Tales of... titles sitting on my Playstation 3 ready to be played.

I adore watercolors and I like turn based RPGs, but it's pretty difficult to really tell a whole lot about how this plays from these. Unless it's just straight up flashy moves oldschool turn based, which is fine and all but I like some additional systems layered on top of that. Might be cool, lord knows it's fun to look at, but that's surely not gonna be enough for some, myself included.

Off to google I go I guess :p

If I can't transfer it right off my PS3 to my Vita, I'm not gonna reset my Vita to JP and back for one game. Yes, that is a lazy response, and my only defense is that I've already got enough to play right now to last me until Witcher 3 comes out :p

Read more about the game and it does sound pretty interesting on paper.

Can't recall Ratchet ever going on sale, but I came into the PSP era really late.

Get Graces f if you know for sure that you're getting a PS3. I wasn't blown away by the story or characters (goodness the tropes...), but the gameplay -- battles in particular -- is awesome.

Would, except I can't help but feel Graces will be even cheaper at some point, since people said Xillia was $10 not long ago.

Edit: Gone, looks like it just ended, weird.
 
I don't know why I have to ask, but what is the monthly fee for Final Fantasy XIV on PS4, and why the heck isn't that clearly advertised on the PSN page? (Viewing on PS4)

It doesn't even say so under Read More, just ... Add to Cart $39.99
