Definitely double dipping on that PC version although I will perhaps wait for the mod community to get stuck into it. If it comes with significant new single player content then it will be a day one buy.

Wait, shit. I'll wait for people to confirm it actually works before I throw down any money. I had almost forgotten about all the times I wanted to play Max Payne 3 and was unable due to that Social Club garbage.

670 should be plenty considering it still at heart, a last gen game. also, max payne 3, at least in my opinion was very well optmized, so theres hope baby
It absolutely is a bad port. The thing is more than half a decade old and it's still impossible to run it smoothly above 30fps at even near-max settings. Most people prefer to throw some mods on top and cap it to 30fps.
Max Payne 3 (which uses the same engine) was a fantastic port.

You know what will happen, a few franchises may fall victim and could possibly vanish for a while thanks to decisions by people with traits like announcing season passes months before a games release.
I bet the online progress is all done server-side to prevent cheating, so it's trivial to transfer data for them. I imagine they could do it with SP on a technical level, but I don't think Rockstar has access to single-player data, so it doesn't seem likely. Certainly they would have stated it in plain language if it was a feature they were implementing.

Yup, I had already finished MP3 twice, then didn't play it for awhile, when I came back to it, I had to go through all kinds of bullshit with the social club to play it again
Glad I skipped out on the last gen versions (same with other games like "The Last of Us").

I'm thinking the same thing. As much as I loved the game, I'm not sure I'd want to play through it again, especially when so many other games will be released around the same time.

And if past history if anything to go by each of these big holiday releases needs to sell a fucktacular millionfold to break even, am I right? Because I don't sense great things with such a strategy.
And while GTA looked nice, there was no actual release date, nor any word of additional story content or GTAO revamps.
That carryover of progress from Xbox 360 to PS4 though - brutal - and well delivered by Mr House. I'm hiring him for my next mercy killing.
Oh wait you can transfer from 360 to Xbox One as well? Sony made it sound like you could only transfer to PS4. Well then in that case I'm getting it on Xbox One where my friends are. This game is definitely one you want to buy on the platform you have the most friends on, otherwise you're stuck dealing with randoms, which in GTA5 Online can get ugly.
And we have to wait until tomorow to know for sure what Nintendo is dropping later in the year.
Social Club is not as bad as Uplay, but it is trash.

Yeah, I was actually about to replay it. I'm so glad I didn't start over yet.
I also haven't played much of the online, so that'll be nice.
It was a little too ambitious. I had to stop the car to read any passing signs or billboards, due to low res and low framerate. I don't remember having that problem in GTA IV, probably because it was graphically simpler.
