Neil Long: you trippin'
this guy is clearly an idiot. every halo fan wanted this.
We're expecting a nice collector's edition to be revealed for this closer to launch right?
Halo 5 Beta is dated.

A beta almost a year before launch (Autumn/Fall 2015 launch)? Or, would they release it sooner?
All i have read is "The game of E3 for me", "I don't even care about Halo 5 anymore", "i'm seriously going to buy an X1 for this" style posts all over the net.
If anything i would say the responce to this has been MORE than even Microsoft would of expected.
A 21 day/3 week long beta?? Nice.
Halo 3 should have gotten the Anniversary treatment since that has a much, much better single player campaign compared to 2. Halo 2 campaign was terrible.

What does it mean? :/
It's time for a new thread...
I really want some clarification on this whole thing. Namely the following:
We seriously need a major briefing on this from the developers.
- Halo 3 and Halo 4 are straight ports, just running at a higher res and framerate?
- Do Halo 3 and Halo 4 both have their original multiplayer running on their original engines?
- Can the multiplayers all be played separately, or is the unified interface and matchmaking forced?
- Will the original Halo 2 matchmaking, menus, and ranking be available, i.e. will it exist as its own entity within the bundle?
- What's the deal with the "six maps" for Halo 2? Are the other maps missing, or just without updated graphics at all?
- Is Halo 1's original multiplayer back in all its glory with full remastering, or is it just a map pack like Anniversary?
- Is a dual graphics engine approach being taken like Halo 1 Anniversary, or are new assets being injected into the old map files and togglable tweaks made to the rendering engine?
- Does "exactly as you remember it" mean Halo 2's button glitches are back?
- Does the 60 FPS change affect gameplay or timings? In H2 Vista, running at 60 FPS affected the weapon timings and made the Covenant Carbine overpowered.

Yes, Halo 4 also gets a bboostin lighting and other things since it's running a more current version of an engine that was made by 343/b]
[*]Do Halo 3 and Halo 4 both have their original multiplayer running on their original engines?
Yes
[*]Can the multiplayers all be played separately, or is the unified interface and matchmaking forced?
You will be able to filter or pick a playlist with the game you want to play if you want to avoid 4
[*]Will the original Halo 2 matchmaking, menus, and ranking be available, i.e. will it exist as its own entity within the bundle?
No menus but it sounds like a ranking system is making a return
[*]What's the deal with the "six maps" for Halo 2? Are the other maps missing, or just without updated graphics at all?
The six reimagined maps are running a variant of the Halo 2 engine and allow Forge. The others are updated ggraphically
[*]Is Halo 1's original multiplayer back in all its glory with full remastering, or is it just a map pack like Anniversary?
Full on Halo CE engine in the house
[*]Is a dual graphics engine approach being taken like Halo 1 Anniversary, or are new assets being injected into the old map files and togglable tweaks made to the rendering engine?
[*]Does "exactly as you remember it" mean Halo 2's button glitches are back?
Yes

yes- Do Halo 3 and Halo 4 both have their original multiplayer running on their original engines?
yes- Can the multiplayers all be played separately, or is the unified interface and matchmaking forced?
There is confusion here, but the assumption is you can play both separate and together- Will the original Halo 2 matchmaking, menus, and ranking be available, i.e. will it exist as its own entity within the bundle?
It appears it's all unified. no more old menus, ranking is TBA... may be a rank across all games but not on a per playlist... we have to see- What's the deal with the "six maps" for Halo 2? Are the other maps missing, or just without updated graphics at all?
6 Maps are being remade. It has it's own engine which is quasi Halo 2/4/5 or something. All Halo 2 maps are going to be in like how they were in the original game (i hear with the exception of tombstone and desolation)- Is Halo 1's original multiplayer back in all its glory with full remastering, or is it just a map pack like Anniversary?
Yes, Halo 1 MP is back! But what you're getting is probably just the old maps... none of the maps that showed up in Halo CEA will be here because they ran on reach engine- Is a dual graphics engine approach being taken like Halo 1 Anniversary, or are new assets being injected into the old map files and togglable tweaks made to the rendering engine?
Halo 2 you can swap between old and new engines... now without fadeout!- Does "exactly as you remember it" mean Halo 2's button glitches are back?
All exploits are going to be accessible. BXR/BXB/BR dual shot, etc- Does the 60 FPS change affect gameplay or timings? In H2 Vista, running at 60 FPS affected the weapon timings and made the Covenant Carbine overpowered.
This we will have to wait and see
Was there a rumor that this is coming to PC or did I imagine that?

Weird I wonder what the issue is with Tombstone and Desolation. Can't wait to get some footage of this game from the show floor.
Hah, that guy is an idiot.
OMFG! I just realized Choppers and Hornets are back. IN 1080p AND 60FPS

This doesn't make sense on so many levels its almost like he wasn't even thinking when he wrote it. Which I refuse to believe, which means he wrote it knowingly which is...worse.
The crowd wanted Halo 5? We already know Halo 5 is coming but its not in 2014. But Halo Oh shit massive package all this shit in one place will kill me edition is coming out. I keep reading it and turning my head like a dog hearing a strange sound. Do the audiances really want a couple second blurb about a game they already know is coming years out versus a massive package of a companies most popular series of games for a single games price coming out in mere months?
If so than fuck that crowd. Seriously fuck them. Offering tangible shit matters more to me than more CGI or some extra tidbit that could be dolled out via normal updates.

Frankie said hey are only focusing on Xbox One right now but did not say no to a PC version
Halo 2 MP is going to have all the BXR shit in it? well no thanks.
Having a ranking over all 4 games MP is a bad idea, keep is separate please and use the halo 3 up-to-50 ranking method, it seems the best after halo 2's
