It didn't look like it functioned well, and the core mechanics don't sound like they make for a good time.About what? I just don't get it. I thought people would be happy to see some semi-internal concepts Nintendo has cooked up. We never get to see those.
This Treehouse format is really really great, I hope we get this every year.![]()
Some Japanese games with the "X" in their names were meant to be pronounced "Cross" when said aloud, but some people seem to take that too literally and apply it to all games with an X in the title.
At least, that's what I think happened.
I've only ever seen the "Cross" used when it was two properties set against one another, like SF X Tekken.
What a cock tease lolThey just panned over to Smash, lol
So with Project Guard and Project Giant Robot being playable, could they be coming sooner than Star Fox? I figured all 3 would probably be out sometime next year.
this is the most accurate description i've heard yet of those kinds of people.
I'd honestly be shocked if everyone doesn't do this next year.
It costs nothing and keeps people focused on you for the duration of the show.
I think it's about time to give up on the Gamepad, if those are the best titles one of the world's most accomplished game designers can come up with.
Both games looked kinda mediocre, and neither one really struck me as really needing a second screen/touchpad.
Star fox wasn't revealed 5 years ago. What's the difference between The Last Guardian and StarFox? Nintendo uses "full development" and says "next year" instead of using "full development" as a code-phrase for "cancelled".

Agreed 100%. Not only that, but it looked like the rest of Nintendo had moved on while Miyamoto was unwilling to give up his baby.
The Digital Direct did NOT focus on the gamepad. Their major success on the Wii U, MK8, does NOT use the Gamepad for anything of importance. Miyamoto is the last holdout, and judging by those demos he's really struggling with it.
So is this or the robot game the new IP Miyamoto was showing off?
