Just got done playing for an hour or two, here are some thoughts!
Old Russia is really beautiful during sunset lighting conditions. The world is much larger than I initially anticipated and that's a good thing. Cruising around on the Sparrow is a lot of fun thanks in part to the Star Wars sound effects and I like that you can summon one at any time.
Weapon models look a little low resolution on the texture side, particularly the shotgun that came with the Hunter class I picked. Gunplay feels solid, much better than it appeared it would be considering the videos. I think it's due in part to the substantial level of vibration you get from the controller feedback. Headshots are also satisfying with a wispy smoke effect.
Patrol missions are typical fodder, but I enjoyed the combat and exploring enough to continue doing them for an hour or two straight. Seeing the Fallen and Hive fight against each other was a nice surprise and it felt pretty dynamic in a three way fight.
I'm still not particularly fond of the voice acting by Dinklage found in the story mission, just sounds a little monotone and disinterested. Another small complaint is that the load times seemed fairly lengthy when going back and forth from the Tower to Old Russia.
Random feedback thoughts that I think may help improve the game:
1. I'm still not entirely sure if there is something like this in the game, but it seemed like whenever I ran into someone it was pretty fleeting and didn't have a substantial impact. It would be more interesting if you could go up to the person, press a button and they instantly join your fire team and go on to complete quests with them.
2. It would be better if the map was accessible at all times when you are at the Tower rather than seeing it only when you talk to a certain person.
3. When hovering over equipment items it would be great if it automatically loaded and previewed it on your character rather than having to dig into the menu check out how it looks.
I will continue to play and give more feedback, but so far I very much enjoyed what I got to play.
