Well, this will be the go to example of why there aren't items it tournaments.

This pretty much. There's just too much variation in items and the smash ball for it to be competitive. Especially when it's four player, it quickly just becomes a clusterfuck. Fun when you're playing with friends, though!

Again, it was one of the worst parts about Brawl's item matches compared to previous Smash games. You have all these match-stopping, ridiculously powerful attacks instead of people improvising with the random items they have, and a lot of final smashes take too long and are repetitive. Worst part is when it appears, because people ignore all the other items and just try to hit the Smash Ball.

I turn off Final Smashes in my item matches.
