Zelda is the Wii U's "big gun". Not sure Metroid is a "big" a "gun" as you might think. Not to mention the series has had half of its canon instalments on handhelds (II & Fusion)
Because we've had no Zelda announcements so far.

It has to be S.T.E.A.M. I'm not getting my hopes up for anything else. A 90-minute discussion only makes sense for a new IP.

Majora's Mask would be a fantastic consolation prize.
We got a sequel to Luigi's Mansion and a new Pikmin recently, and Nintendo funded The Wonderful 101, which was never going to be a huge moneymaker. Plus, I'd never predict Nintendo would make a followup to Kirby's canvas curse. I think anything's possible.

Maybe. Hopefully not. 3DS needs a big holiday game besides Pokemon and SSB. I dunno, might just be wishful thinking on my part. Last year was such an embarassment of riches for 3DS software that I'd love to see 2014 come close.

Not a game, was never a game. This is promotional art to hire people for Monolith Kyoto which is not a game development studio, they are just a team of artists who make assets for Nintendo games like Skyward Sword and Animal Crossing.

That would make sense. At least this could fill up 90 mins of discussing the figurine mechanics and whatnot.
S.T.E.A.M. with figurines (possibly) is now my bet.
Edit: unless the amiibo thing is wii-u only, then it's probably just plain S.T.E.A.M. I guess.
Are you talking about the Kyoto Software Development Studio? Cause that's a branch of Monolith...

They don't work on Monolith games, they work on art assets for games from Nintendo's Kyoto studios.

3DS XL was announced a few weeks after E3, and the 2DS popped up randomly in September, I think.
I think there will be a 3DS revision this year.
