Have you not played Ground Zeroes? Oh wait, now I'm second guessing myself. Could you do it in GZ?
Pretty sure you can do that in GZ. For sure the laying on the back shot though. Going to play me some GZ now and make sure

Eh, I kinda miss the big ass ALERT/EVASION text in the top right corner.another huge plus for this game (I know it's in GZ too) is the almost zero HUD. It's so clean. Only if you aim or mark stuff otherwise there is no other useless shit on the screen. Freakin brilliant.
Edit: No wait, in GZ is the weapon icon in the bottom right corner always there, in TPP not! FUCK YES!

You could lay on your back in GZ but you can't crawl backwards... someone pick the game up and try right now. I'm almost sure I'm right.
You can, you just aim whilst on your back+ left stick.

You can crawl on your back but not by leaning on one side in GZ.You can, you just aim whilst on your back+ left stick.

This might a weird thing to say, but I think this game (and GZ I guess) has one the best running animations in a game.
There is probably memory loss about his accident due to trauma, so I doubt he forget everything about himself.

I love the new knocking animation. Brilliant.

I don't even want to know what sick filth the game is he is playing.
Kaz dating simulator
Agreed, I love it so fucking much.

I just thought of a good solution to what some are claiming is a problem with the Fulton system (although I would like it fine as is).
What if you put a percentage or meter next to a downed enemy that represented their potential personality clash with other members of Diamond Dogs?
This would encourage you to not take everybody as some could harm your morale and efficiency on board Mother Base.
Yep. Go prone, pan the camera around and aim. I use this all the time!
(edit) loads of people don't seem to know this, lol.
I don't think that adding a whole other level of statistics/programming for the Mother Base meta-game is the solution.
There needs to be direct, in-mission consequences to it.
Enemies need to be more aware/observent and there should probably be greater limitations on its use.
Play MGS3 and Peace Walker, since those explain Naked Snake's history and everything you mentioned.I was mildly interested in this game until the 2nd video in the op. I've completed mgs2, mgs4 and mgsgz, but I have no idea whats going on in this story. No idea why Snake, who's apparently Big Boss, has shit in his head. Why he's all cool with a younger looking Ocelot. None of it makes sense. But, it looks like fun. I enjoyed ground zeroes more than I expected. The fulton looks like it'll make exploration worthwhile. The base building thing looks kinda cool too. I feel like I'd lose a lot of time to this game. PEACE.
I would rather have 30FPS with better draw distance, foliage, lighting, and less on the muddy textures than this draw back on performance just for "That 60 FPS".
Also, why is it that when Big Boss first lands at Mother base he still walks like he's on a sneaking mission? They can't add a normal walking animation?
eh, yeah you can crawl backwards in GZ, you just have to be aiming your gun like in the video. No, I remember now. You can get on your back, did it plenty in backs of trucks, but crawling backwards wasn't a thing. You would auto flip back on your stomach. It's a small thing that wouldn't matter except in the most minute situations, but it'll be a nice addition.. fbgamer is right.
I'm not getting worked up. I'm just speculating on what we got served. Chill out.Do you really think in-game economy specifics have been ironed-out at this point?
People really should wait for the final game before getting worked up on this stuff.

That was a nice detail any stealth game could implement. If you watch the hospital GDC gameplay and heard Kojima's comments about Last of Us, you can tell contextual animation is a higher priority.
I have numerous times, exactly how did you make it through last gen? Because 30 FPS all the way through was just fine and it certainly beats having objects and shadows pop in 5 meters just before you while horse riding. Yeah I'm gonna stick with the "slideshow" for now.have you played Ground Zeroes? the lighting is already great. lol, all devs should be going for "That 60 FPS" instead of slideshows.
Nice detail.

He didn't have any real accent in MGS 3.
that doesn't even make sense, of course he had a accent. everyone has an accent. Ocelot had an American accent in all the MGS games
Haven't watched the entire thing yet but is that the shadow of the grate being cast on dust particles floating through the air?
That texture doesn't make sense.Nice detail.

Conversely, you could Fulton a sheep covered in C4 and make him float over a base for an effective distraction so you can sneak in while all the guards watch the sheep explode.
This is semantics. In America you hear "so and so doesn't have an accent" as a way to say "so and so talks the same way we do".
Fixed that for you.
#METALSHEAR?!
Overall, the demo is like PW and GZ combined, so I'm looking forward to it. But I hope the game isn't too concerned with micro-management of the base, that could get tedious.
