Evilore is kinda of a forum genius, and one of the great decisions he made was not having join date and post count in section with the avatar. why? because you get weird competitive behaviour and chicken-type hierarchies. That decision and the 'new news, new thread' are big pillars of neogaf's success, along with great mod choices.

Because that's where the other clan is at right now. They didn't go out and make another thread. Hence they're reading that thread. It's just stupid to drag the drama out into a third thread and it does nothing but continue to make everyone look like children. That's the whole reason it was posted there and linked in the other appropriate thread. That being this one. The one were you guys were being attacked by others for having started this clan.
I thought the point was to discuss the issue, which is 'should gaf have more than one destiny group'.
That discussion doesn't belong in an alpha thread nor a ps4 clan request thread, it belongs in a 'should gaf have more than one destiny group' thread.

Actually, there should be zero debate. There is one easy solution. Either let people keep both groups, which is redundant, or do it like this:
And Untalkative_Bunny, the Alpha withdrawel thread is just a hype thread now pretty much. Open to anyone, you dont need to have played the alpha to be excited for the beta.

I'll be accepting people in a few when I head to lunch. Until shadow decides what to do I'll keep doing admin duties.
Alright so I've been gone since pretty much last night. I slept pretty much for 10 hours straight and got a clear head now. I had time to think about stuff.
1) I am dead tired of some people who I won't name, they know who they are. That come into this thread and throw hateful words at the members of this group, especially at the admins, who are just trying to perform their job. You don't see any of us going into the Withdrawal thread and say anything mean about it. Also for those of you who said that "why are you guys being so defensive and aggressive"
If you had to deal with people coming into your thread every now and then and calling you a thief, demanding you to do things, whinning and being completely insufferable. You would feel defensive too.
2) On another related note, this whole ownership mentality that some members of the other group have display like Dax has pointed out is really disturbing, I created this group just for PS4 players, so they will have a place to go and find ONLY other PS4 players. Where its a much closer group. I would be happy to rename this group to something other than DestinyGAF. Because to me the name isn't important, what this group stand for is. What my intention to provide a place for other PS4 players to interact without much confusion often face when joining a blanket group.
And I will not be bully into disbanding this group just because a few members on here feel entitle to a name that they have so called "claimed" long ago.
3) I am however open to talking about things and trying to find a peaceful resolution to all of this. I am proud of where this group is right now and I would hate to have it be disbanded. But if merger is possible and the idea of still having that PS4 exclusive thing can still be its own thing as a group. Then I'm all for it.
I've have sent a message to PsychoRaven yesterday, he must havent gotten it since non of his post indicated so. Raven if you're reading this I'm sorry about not discussing with you first before I took the name DestinyGAF, I didn't even think that it was an ownership thing. And I'm sorry the message didn't go through.
As I said, I'm all for talking about this and trying to find a solution both group are happy with. But this group doesn't belong to me. It belong to every admins and members in here. So whatever the majority thinks its best. I will follow through.
I've been talking to Valentinus a bit, he seem to be like the guy to talk to when Raven wasn't available. He said he would not have a problem if this group was operating under a different name that isn't DestinyGAF. That's why I thought that if we change our name. We can both coexist. Having a PS4 only GAF group and you guys can have your DestinyGAF.
I am also open to merger, but the only reason I was ever against the disbanding this group is that I like the way the Forum is over at Bungie.net. there is no confusion to which thread is for which platform members. Because it catered specifically to PS4.
Now I'm not sure on if this is possible or not. But if this group can still exist and not have to disband, still have its own independent forum but IS somehow under the banner of DestinyGAF then I'm okay with that.
Though in the end this will not be solely my decision. This is a group decision. I have tried my best to be level headed throughtout all of this, and if I have come off as angry, possessive and negative in any way. I apologize from the bottom of my heart. I just want to do what best for this group and the people in it.
Lastly, I want to apologize specifically to the people of this group and the Admins. Um sorry you have suffered criticism the all of yesterday and today. This group was meant to be a fun thing and sometimes this drama hasn't made it so. I am partly responsible for that. So I am sorry to each and everyone of you.
PS. JBurton, I am very sorry that you have left us. I hope if we ever get all of this straighten out, I hope you will consider coming back. You were invaluable to this group, just like every members here.

If your decision is to keep it running then there we go. We can make clan alliances with regular destiny gaf once clans are a thing.
I haven't reach a decision yet. That post was just meant to say I'm open go several things on where this group might go.
But the decision will have to be make so that both parties and its members can agreed with.

Read my post a few pages back, I'm all for the merger. All I ever want for GAF is for all of us to be under one Main Clan and then the subdivisions/smaller clans for specific platforms. Comes with their own Admins as well. We are in this for the long run 'not just for a couple of GAFers'.

Hey guys there seem to be a misconception to what a GROUP is and what a CLAN is.
A GROUP is what we have right now. DestinyGAF PS4 and DestinyGAF are groups.
CLAN cannot be created yet, those will come later. CLANS can be created under a GROUP or separate from it.
DestinyGAF believe that they are the official GROUP and that some members thinks that us existing is a detriment to their group and want us to either disband or merge.
Though there are some who believes we can coexist as two different groups. (Maybe with a name change to this group to avoid confusion.. MAYBE)

If we can come to a mutual agreement for the time being until more info is made known about how Clans and Groups really work in Destiny. That would be wonderful. After things are more well known. Then we can make some more changes to suit our previous agreements.
Though any major changes to this group will have to be voted by the members.

I'm not blaming you. You're one of the people who haven't really came into here to accuse me and other people of stuff.
There are people like that and it kinda make me sick to think that things have spiraled out of control. But Valentinus and I will try to find a solution that will satisfy both parties.
