If you couldn't get a 50 in Halo 3 on your first account, you were bad.
What's harder about it?
I'm surprised so many people in this thread still don't know about clawing in 2014, I thought it was a pretty well known way to play even back in like 06. It's not impractical at all, I've been clawing for about a decade, and know plenty of others who do too. Aiming seems much harder at first because your thumb is at a slightly different angle using your middle finger to shoot, but that really only takes 3-4 weeks to get completely used to.

I dont know if this has been confirmed or not, because I cant seem to find the answer anywhere..
But the most important question for me is this.
Can we choose the datacenter where we matchmake (like titanfall)? or is the game going to decide for us??
Please confirm this stinkles
No comments on this topic yet afaik. However, somehow I am sure they will choose it automatically.
So with them remaking Halo 2, do they still make the Elite models the easiest headshot character ever or do they fix that?
I am currently playing Halo 3 online and there are 9.6k player online. Hollyshit. This game came out like 7 years ago.
If you think headshots on Elites is the easiest ever, and not Grunts, then I don't know what you are on but I'll take 20.
I think he meant in multiplayer
Explain to our small brains how that makes sense. Win 5, nothing. Lose one, go down.
There are several possible explanations for this. The easiest one, and the one that fits the Trueskill system EXACTLY as explained by Microsoft, is that losing against a team that is X (I believe 6 or more, but experimentation is needed to determine the true value) skill points below you can cause you to lose as much as 5 times the Mu value that winning against even level teams gains you. Of course, winning against a team that has X more skill levels than you can net you as much as 5 times the Mu gain. The reverse is true as well. Winning against a weak team can count as little as 1/5th of an even skill win.

Just because you don't understand it, doesn't mean it's inaccurate or broke.
That's my feeling for the game. It plays great it just has some annoying fluff which can get in the way.I borrowed Halo 4 in preparation of the MCC, as I've never played it before.
I'm really liking the multiplayer so far, I'm not a huge fan of the loadout/perk/leveling stuff, but the core gameplay is solid and the game looks and runs great.

Far too many people say that the fluff on top completely ruins the game imo.
oh man playing h2 on the xb1 controller feels like it was meant to be can't wait for november
Agreed. I didn't love loadouts and all that jazz, but where hardly game breaking. I just wish the online community stuck around a bit longer.

They were game breaking which is one of the reasons why the community abandoned the game...
oh u
what? talking about h2 pc

Shouldn't it just be "Elo", or does Halo 2 use something else that happens to have the same name in allcaps?Halo 2's system was ELO
What happened is your 5 wins were against opponents you were -supposed- to beat, because they were notably below your rank. When you lost and lost rank, that team was also under your rank, you were supposed to beat them, so you went down.

2014 Q4: Halo: The Master Chief Collection (+ Halo 5: Guardians Beta)
2015 Q4: Halo 5: Guardians
2016 Q4: Halo Wars 2
2017 Q4: Next Halo spin-off (ODST-scale)
2018 Q4: Next main Halo title
Ladies and gentleman, the Halo roadmap.

Just joking and dreaming a bit
Indeed. If I had to hazard a guess, I'd say:
2014 Q4: Halo: The Master Chief Collection (+ Halo 5: Guardians Beta)
2015 Q4: Halo 5: Guardians
2016 Q4: Another non-FPS (like Spartan Assault 2 or Halo Wars 2)
2017 Q3: Halo 3 Anniversary (DLC for TMCC)
2018 Q4: Halo 6: Reclaimers
Absolutley no way Halo 3 Anniversary is happening.
That doesn't make any sense, like...at all.
Halo: CEA and Halo 2:A happened so why not the final act?Absolutley no way Halo 3 Anniversary is happening.
That doesn't make any sense, like...at all.
You think they would do DLC for it 3 years later? I would be pretty psyched if so.2017 Q3: Halo 3 Anniversary (DLC for TMCC)
Did you even read what he wrote in parentheses?
Guy, someone seriously hold me, I am a finger click away from ordering an xbox one. These games, damn!

Yeah, I read what he wrote in parentheses.
They have said on more than one occasion we are getting Halo 3 and 4 upped to 1080p and 60 fps and that it will suffice because they didn't need the anniversary treatment.
Making halo 3 anniversary dlc would be really redundant. It absolutely doesn't need to be redone with new graphics...
Is it just me or is this super obvious? We're getting he definitive version of Halo 3 this year...there is not going to be an anniversary edition of Halo 3.

Do it do it do itGuy, someone seriously hold me, I am a finger click away from ordering an xbox one. These games, damn!
Fine, replace him with the 2004 Halo 2 model and ship it.

Sort of true, though. Halo 3 isn't exactly the champion of high-fidelity character models, but they mostly sit fine in their environment. Hood just plain looks like he a few too many experiences with hyperspace demons.Haha, harsh.
You say that now, but wait until you see what Halo 5's graphics pipeline is capable of*. They would have had a few years to familiarise themselves with the hardware, and it'll be apparent that Halo 3 is the "worst" looking game in the collection. I'm not saying it's going to happen, just being optimistically speculative. Frankly I'd love to have a completely remastered Halo 3 campaign as it is my favourite in the entire series. Halo 3 would also be a good place to stop doing remasters, as it is the end of "The Original Trilogy".
* (speculation and hope)

So when Halo 3 is made Anniversary and we have Halo 5 and 6 out on the market isn't it going to be "apparent" that Halo 4 is the worst looking Halo?
So they will remake that one too? Where will it end? Halo 1 and 2 had a great excuse being the only Halo's that were not HD.

I'm kind of with Solidsoul on this. Halo 1 and 2 are 2 console generations old at this point and unplayable online or in HD. That seems to be the main purpose behind the Anniversary updates. Not just replacing the models and textures which is all Halo 3 Anniversary would be doing at this point. So when Halo 3 is made Anniversary and we have Halo 5 and 6 out on the market isn't it going to be "apparent" that Halo 4 is the worst looking Halo?

I hope MCC is the end of remakes. Period. Send it out with a bang and all that. New content from then on out please.
