Yeah i know that scene comes first but what makes you think it's not the same Hospital?

The doctors also have american accents in the first hospital whereas the doctor 9 years later has a foreign accent. Granted, it could be just that one doctor, but the lady that says "V has come to" also sounds similar to him.Because the hospital he wakes up in 9 years later is located in Cyprus, a british colony back then. This theory was established ~2 years ago when the first TPP trailer was shown at the VGAs.
Camp Omega was located in Cuba and MSF's Mother Base was an off-shore plant located on the Caribbean Sea. Cyprus is located in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea which is closer to the Middle East.
There is no way in hell anyone could have taken them from the Caribbean Sea to the Mediterranean in such a short notice and have them all alive. They all needed immediate medical care.
that's gotta be an unused scene with BB bloody faced in the chopper. no other explanation really make much sense.
the waterboarding will happen, but more than likely at a different location than camp omega
Again, that scene was supposed to be in GZ and was left out. No! BB, Kaz, Chico, the Medic & pilot do not magically swim to shore and somehow find a chopper and go back in it only to have it shut down again. This is stupid.
The waterboarding scene happens in daylight which is obviously a scene from TPP and obviously shows that it's Camp Omega.
How is one totally obvious, while the other is not? Look at the animation on Snake's face. You can see -- no, you can feel his heart breaking. You think Kojima is going to waste THAT? Hell no, yo. Hell no. You can call me a casul MGS scrublord who knows nothing of Kojima's greatness if I'm wrong, but there is no way we don't see that scene. No way.
/DEAD
That's pretty good.

What I'm saying is that I don't beleive the choppers ever collide. I think they miss, they run into trouble elsewhere and Snake ends up in a coma. Not sure how, but I don't believe it's the implied collision.

So you're telling me that he's going to survive 2 consecutive chopper attacks?
yeah, that's what i meant. it's not going to be in TPP.
i don't think we'll return to camp omega. i think either (a) he didn't want us to see where that scene occurs in TPP, or (b) that area of camp omega was just used as a place holder for the trailer, since the area where that scene occurs wasn't finished

XOF's chopper was clearly going to collide with MSF's chopper. Even if they didn't collide, the chopper was going down because of Paz' explosion.
They really should just make Ground Zeroes the opening mission to Phantom Pain.
They really should just make Ground Zeroes the opening mission to Phantom Pain.
Not going to happen. GZ is a standalone game. Get over it.

So chico is definitely in the gdc 2013 trailer

He's in the same location as in the final

This is after the bomb. I don't see him here.

Finally here is the chopper snake is in (post bomb) number 794. I'll replay gz again and see if the chopper has the same number.

A scene being taken out of Ground Zeroes after late March 2013? I have my doubts.

Why not? What's so relevant about that scene? How is it adding to the story?
So all this happens in TPP also? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ht7xat2Gjk#t=104 BUT IT WAS IN THE TRAILER!!.......I don't think so.

I think they'll include it with "first print" copies as a downloadable voucher. A PC release would guarantee inclusion, though, as I'm positive they would be sold as a bundle in that scenario.
Dude, you have got to stop reading our minds. I was getting ready to look that up, myself! (Thanks for posting, by the way!)
I am the real Psycho Mantis.lol

hmmm so it didn't crash then? That's strange.Hahaha! Yeah, you got me there.By the way, the chopper at the end of Ground Zeroes is 794 -- same chopper!
To me it would mean that big boss didn't lose his arm or went into coma because of the chopper crash. Or simply that the chopper didn't crash.
hmmm so it didn't crash then? That's strange.
It's not about what it adds to the story. It's what it adds to the character. All Hideo Kojima has talked about with the Kiefer Sutherland hire is how he wanted Snake to be able to express himself through subtle facial animations. That particular scene is a facial animation gold mine.

I'm telling ya, man. ;-)
I know why Kojima hired Kiefer, I just don't see how they could have escaped the crash or how the chopper somehow missed XOF's chopper. And assuming they somehow managed to escape, then what? What's the point of Paz' sacrifice then? If what you're saying is true then Paz' sacrifice was for nothing and that would make the whole scene pointless as I'm sure Kojima was trying to make a point out of this specific scene.
Maybe right before he wakes up we see this scene as a dream, a sort of very quick flashback to the end events of Ground Zeroes.
Yet it looks empty? You guys used this argument that it's empty to prove it's a different chopper but now that the number of the chopper is the same how would you explain the "chopper didn't crash" argument?
OH COME ON! Enough with the damn dream theories and the VR. NO GZ was NOT a dream and NO Big Boss DOES NOT have a double.Yeah, I could totally see that. Maybe he's dreaming, piecing his memories together and this is how he sees it? I don't know, but yeah, certainly possible!
Something seems just really strange. The hospital scene he is waaay skinnier than in Afghanistan.

Just look at his arm, i wonder how long Snake spends time with Ocelot after he rescues him from the hospital before they start the mission to rescue Kaz.

It's because of the 9 years in coma.

Top image is from the shorter version of the trailer shown at the Sony E3 conference. The bottom is the extended trailer. Notice the difference in his camouflage and how the guy behind Miller is missing in one of the trailers.
I wonder if certain characters rescued effects if they show up in certain scenes. This certainly leans in favor of us being able to choose our outfits, as they will no doubt bleed into cutscenes as they have in past MGS games.
