Glorious.

Did they restore motion blur ? I think it was missing or much subtler on ps4 version of ground zeroes

It would appear so, but it seems like an odd choice when shooting for 60FPS. At any rate, it looks good though, although it doesn't seem to be per-object based.

If it's properly shutter adjusted it'll simulate more according how your eye blurs motion at 60fps as opposed to camera simulation at 30fps.

Yarp.

You can see the odd artifacting around Snake, but I figure that's just something to do with having to calibrate this for <10MB.

Perfect, thanks.

Looks so amazing. One of the best running animations i've ever seen.

More than likely. Though many games also use selective anti-aliasing and selective dithering for close up or in focus objects. This difference could easily be exacerbated by artifacting which is trying to normalize nearby color blocks.

edit: Actually it's probably the motion blur. The Fox engine has damn beautiful motion blur.

Checking out that Gamersyde video really let's me know where this game stands technically.

I know we all think of it as a PS4 game but it's pretty obvious here MGSV is still very much a cross-gen game originally developed for last-gen. It looks great, but it's not in the same league as some of the open-world games we saw at E3 like Witcher 3, Assassin's Creed Unity, and Arkham Knight.

Why devs still can't implement some kind of fade in / morph in to hide pop up ?

I honestly expect this to get better with time.

If the game isn't releasing until 2015, I think there's still ample time for additional optimization.

Of course, there's the possibility of a PC release too.

Very true, but will any of those 3 run at 60fps?
There were some rumours floating around some time ago that Ubi was targetting 60 for AC, but I really don't believe it.

This game looks very good in my opinion. Sure, those 3 games might be having more detail (witcher 3 will certainly) but everything looks solid, runs exceptionally well and those animations are so amazing. Given the scope of this game, it's nothing short of amazing.

The only blemish I can find is the pop-in, but there's still time to iron that out, and if not, oh well, some compromise had to be made. 60fps makes everything look sleeker, imo.

Man, my head literally hardly can bare with 60FPS video. I can play 60FPS games just fine, but video is something else.

Dude, oh... my... GOD, this looks so good!!!! That 60fps... At the very start of the demo, you can notice the lens flare and sound effects that weren't noticable (at least to me) in the 30fps version of the demo. Did anyone else notice that? Or am I going cray cray?

So i watched and read a few Kojima interviews again and totally forgot about this quote. Since we have so many doubters here i'd like to share this with you.

Don't worry this is actually one of the interviews that made me think about the whole Solid Snake/MG1 tie in deal in the first place, along with the time period... it makes too much sense.

Why don't people who have problems with the download not stream the video from the site??

I've never seen this interview before, nice. I've said this before but I really hope Jim Piddock is back as Zero.

The stream had some noticeable pop in at the beginning but other than that the game looked great. Also after watching this again I realized that Big Boss just left the horse behind in the mission. Are horses part of Mother Base and if so are they just recollected at the end of missions?

I'm getting my full bandwidth usage here at home (300 mbits/s) almost instantly, without even opening the port... I don't get how it could be slow for anyone :/

Sat around 150 kB/s when usually I can comfortably pull about 2 meg at this time of night :\

Can't wait to see the glorious 60fps footage though! :D
