You're absolutely right, but will Sanchez make it happen? He could pull a Kagawa and refuse to move altogether.
Well that's always a possibility, although without any actual indication of which club he favours it's a bit of a non-point at the moment. There's nothing to suggest he wouldn't be favourable to a move to Brendan's battleship.

If you were Sanchez and it was either that or fourth place for eternity, or one of your peak years out of the Champions League struggling alongside Fellaini and Phil Jones, it might actually sound appealining.

Of course I'm aware that he probably does fancy a move to Juventus, but throw in the Suarez situation (and how heavily Barca will be pushing him to move to Liverpool) as well as Juve's inherent lack of finances and I just can't see that one happening.

thanks for the detailed post <3

Oh forget about Juve :lol :lol there's no fucking way we're getting him. You should worry about Mou.

United are in a really peculiar position, I don't think they stand a chance too.

Liverpool are another odd team, from what I saw of them last season (and glen johnson's wc) what they need is a couple of good defenders, not lallana

Chelsea don't have room in their squad for Sanchez.

From England it's Liverpool, Arsenal and United in the race (in descending order).

Plug, if you have no need for Modric, then send him back to us. Since you've forgotten about him.

It's funny, I've played like 2000 hours of FM in the past 4 seasons and never touched the editor. Don't even know how to access it.

Monaco paid £38m for James. He would cost £65-70m at a minimum now. But they won't sell any time soon. Why would they?

Muppetry about Hames will be next summer, during the Copa America.

Has that "buy a WiiU game, get another free" deal ended?
Got a deposit back from uni accommodation, and could be tempted to buy a WiiU if there was a good enough deal. £240 though? Nah

Deal's still going. Ends July 31st. Mario Kart 8 Bonus Game Promotion. dc might be able to find some deal for you.

my expert analysis of yesterdays matches (couldnt watch on GAF):

James Rodriguez *bow*.

fuck Brazil, #footballisdead, Columbia/Germany needs to save it. I hate this overhyped cunt team. They are like Barcelona without Messi, tactics, skill or Pep. And why do they all wear porn staches? Fuck it, I'd rather see Messi ascend to his throne than see Brazil win another game or even score another goal.

But on the bright side Brazil beating Chile means, that there's no real threat to Germany left. It's our time. Germany 2014! Believe! Should the Germany-Brazil semi final happen, I guarantee you it wont be pretty for Brazil. It could even rival the Bayern-Barca 2013 ( or Madrid - Bayern 2014 :( ) football massacre.

Modric is coming to Chelsea, when Ramires goes to Madrid.

fuenf, pls. Ger v Fra in the QFs should be fun!

Don't think we are going for Sanchez m8s.

Surprised City don't want him again, the one type of player they really do need in their attack.

I think they'll go for it.

Two weeks before the mercato muppetry gets into full-swing and I'm already depressed. All I wanted was Berardi and Sanchez.

I don't want anyone anymore. Sell them all.

And give all our titles (stripped and earned) to Torino FC. Then merge the clubs and call it a day. I just want to leave this world once and for all.

Jesus Navas is a human being. He exists. When you pinch him he feels pain and when you bench him he gets angry & confused.

Nasri, Silva and Navas fill up the wings well, with Yaya, Jovetic and Aguero being able to play supporting striker. Plus, there's no more room for a non-HG.

About to start Transistor on PC. Should I use keyboard + mouse or go with the joypad, as much as I loathe the 360 pad?

Plays great with a controller, but it's not a twitchy game, so I imagine it'd be just as good with a KB+M. The whole turn system would probably mean it would be fine even with a laptop trackpad.

I'm sorry my hatred towards Brazil made me forget about the the good (Ribery-less) France. I just hope someone takes Brazil out, my biggest hopes are Germany (I know that we will if Löw doesnt fuck up things before), Columbia, Robben, Messi and France ( in that order).

They've been quiet so far. Other than the Fernando signing which was nailed on from last season.

I'm thinking they'll try to make a massive signing. Wouldn't be suprised if they put an offer in for Sanchez or James.

Chairman early on said there won't be any big signings, plus there's the transfer ban.

There's a big problem with non-HG too. Only way to sign Sanchez is to sell Negredo or Dzeko, and they're both proven fit for PL.

I don't think they'll go for James. Silva has that number 10 position locked down for the foreseeable imo. Could also sign him and play him on either flank but that'd be a waste.

They're also under FFP restrictions.

Good point about non-HG. Not sure about the other factors as I think Sanchez has the raw pace that I think your attack lacks.

Negredo may be moving too and Dzeko's contract situation still not sorted is it? I doubt it's a priority but if one of those leave I think you may move to get another attacker.

Silva barely played 10 (if you mean behind the striker) last season, seems like Pellegrini understood he's a very poor finisher (which Mancini didn't). When 10 was open later on in matches, Yaya or Nasri was given it.

Silva was always either on left or right midfield, but Pellegrini's side midfielders have a lot of freedom but defensive responsibilities too.

Anfield doesn't seduce him in the least m8

Probably that creep Brenton touching everyones faces

Aguero, Jovetic and Negredo are pacy IMO. Maybe not world record like Sanchez, but on the other hand he's really small which could be a problem in PL.

Negredo are just Madrid newspapers, AS, making up rumours it seems. Di Marzio said he's agreed with Atletico yesterday but City refuse to sell, which seems a bit weird since I thought you had to go through the club first. Negredo himself said he's very happy and wants to stay a couple of weeks ago and is now on vacation.

Dzeko is maybe already sorted, a lot of agreed contracts will be announced when they get back from vacation (like Nasri).

Current problem with homegrown is that City must buy a backup keeper and a central defender, but there's currently only one non-HG spot left. They could sell Dzeko or Javi Garcia, but then they'd had to find replacements on those positions instead. Or play Jack Rodwell, but he can't be relied on.

Fair enough so.
