That's the same screenshot that's been on the beta site for quite a while now. All evidence points to it just being a Crucible map for the beta, not an explorable area.

As it already was by that screenshot originating from the beta site. We still don't know anything more than that screenshot being from a place we can see in the beta from that tweet. I'm just saying that it's probably going to be just a Crucible map and not an actual explorable version of the full Mars map like what we got from Old Russia in the alpha.
Sorry, I'm a bit grumpy tonight. ;-(

oh i agree on the crucible map part it looks like a CQC type map and not an area to explore but a picture on a page doesn't confirm anything unless stated otherwise
It looks like the map with the big moving circular geometry that was show in a video last year at gamescom I think.

Originally there was a separate website for the alpha that had it's own clan creation section. Dunno if that's going to be the case or not for the beta though.
Just seems to be the way things work here on GAF. I was part of a WarFrame clan for a while and that was named WarFrameGAF.
He's clearly a warlock.

Are we not expecting all Crucible map locations to also be explorable areas? I thought they'd all be based off of areas we also explore. I'll be disappointed if I don't' get to wander around the moon.
Oh, we will get to wander around on Mars. Just not in the beta. We were talking about what will be in the beta, if that wasn't clear.

I wonder if we can explore anything other than Old Russia. I can imagine how the backlash would be if we see Old Russia again in the beta.
I'm totally expecting it to be old Russia but with different missions and strikes. I don't think they will show the other locations before release.
There is obviously going to be new PVP maps, but I feel they are keeping everything else hidden.

Mars for PVP would be cool. And honestly, I'd have no problem with Old Russia for Explore again if they are opening it up a bit more (I'm guessing there could be more to that map). Oh, and I saw the question asked about the Ghost (Peter Dinklage) and thought I would post it in case someone missed it:

So here is a question how do you know that is Mars? Am I missing the confirmation that is Mars? Honest question. Looks a bit like part of Old Russia you may not have been able to get access too in the Alpha.

I think it's Mars cause there's lots of red.
Because that screen shot got release a couple days ago along with a Venus shot. The worlds are very the stylized in design and color scheme so we know what most the places ( besides the reef ) look like just from eyeballing. Heck it's how we know the vault of glass is on Venus.
It does look like it could be a earth location, I do have to admit that.
However we have seen this place in other places, it's dust palace.

Ah see ok then. I wouldn't be surprised to see it as a Crucible map in the same vein the Moon map was in alpha then. I don't think we'll see anywhere besides Old Russia any other way before launch.
