Well, if our athletes cared it would probably be true. Imagine if they didn't all go to the NFL or NBA...it would make a world of difference.

But still, it's a stupid attitude and excuse to hide behind when we lose, especially when we lose in a manner we can feel proud about.

Furthermore it's not all that easy to find a soccer team even if you want to play. My high school didn't have one and neither did many others in the area. A couple friends of mine did play but they had to be driven ~15 miles to even practice.

Don't think we'd dominate but the sport having better support and access to a wider group of potential players would make a difference.

Some would say the usa over achieved just getting out of its group. And we took Bel to the limit. I'm satisfied as a fan.

we did well in this tournament. Especially with Altidore injured. Yedlin, Green (well, from what we saw...), Jones, Fabian Johnson, Besler, Gonzalez, Bedoya all played incredibly well. They played beyond what I thought possible.

Hope to join football(soccer)GAF for the upcoming season. The sport really is something else. I first caught the bug when I watched 2010 in mexico and 2012 in Spain. But this cup has solidified my love of the sport. You euros and south Americans win
