And here's my very own contribution to the Costa Rican propaganda efforts, hope you guys like it:

Brazil vs. Colombia was something else. Jesus. My cousin and I ended up just napping a big chunk of the evening away, because we both felt drained and sad. Haha.

Dream is done. It was a vastly more emotional than elegant match, and neither team was really exceptional, spiritedness aside. Colombia, inexperienced, coming off a series of effective wins, not yet really tested initially fizzled against Brazil, a team that needed a win and that had just faced almost losing. They were in different zones until nearly the end.

It's such a shame, though, that the game was so foul ridden. The ref dropped the ball badly. Terrible calls. And man, I wish Zuniga hadn't been such a clumsy fool. Ending the game with Neymar seriously injured sucks so, so badly. I initially thought that with Brazil as a foil, we would see some seriously beautiful football. Instead, it was terribly flowing and the opposite of uplifting. Low point of the cup, unless you simply enjoy the drama of it all.

Argentina vs Belgium is one of those games I have no horse in whatsoever

hope to see a good match, but I'm not really counting on it... then again if Belgium can play the same kind of football they did against USA, the Argentine keeper will get a thrashing. Messi is always a wild card but it does feel like he's the only real weapon Argentina has.

So if Belgium manage to get through this, would it be their best result in a WC ever? I recall them getting to the 1/8th before (I think against Mexico?) like a long time ago. But that's about it.

Alderweireld will start, and apparently so will Biglia (hahaha... i hope).

They reached the semifinals in 86.

man I want both to fail. what do I do. I mean there's messitina and than there are those chocolate cookie cutter motherfuckers dudes safe moist as dudes. it's not even a real country.

We've been in the semi finals before (1986).

Anyway, onto the first match. I think Belgium has a real chance to win; Argentina's reliance on Messi is to me something that's bound to fail someday, and this might be it. Belgium played brilliantly against the US, and I hope to see that same deliciously offensive team today.

Plus you guys have Tintin and I love me some Tintin. And I spent a very nice afternoon in Bruges once.

Belgium also had a lot of dumb mistakes that the USA couldn't capitalize on which won't happen with Argentina.

Just letting everyone know that Lionel Messi hasn't scored a goal against Thibaut Courtois in their last 7 games.

Hoping Courtois his streak continues :)
