On the subject of the Halo 4 armor being explained as 'nanomachines', wouldn't this cinematic suggest otherwise? Every Spartan shown is wearing this same armor style, which I assume is still supposed to be Mark VI.

I also agree with whoever said that the Halo 2 Elites looked the best.
--snip--
Is Sparth still the lead conceptual artist for Halo 5?

I dunno about you guys, but I ignore that whole cutscene entirely. Don't get me wrong, it's a fantastic piece of animation, but it clashes with the 'nanomachines' explanation and the rest of canon in a way that bugs me more than Halo: Reach bugged the entire community.

And yes! Halo 2 Elites are the best, they both intimidating, yet, human. I can sympathize with them.

Nanomachines is dumb.

They changed the look for a new game with new graphics, we shouldn't have to try to make such small details explained in cannon. It looks a bit different but it's largely the same enough we can tell it's master chief, what's the problem.

I think Frankie said it in a video I watched. Something along the lines of, "with new games comes new graphics and different styles, everything doesn't need some giant explanation" that's totally paraphrasing by the way.

Agreed. Just call it a retcon and be done with it. Nanomachines is... workable, but it raises more questions than it answers.

And yes to the Elites. Loved H2 style, though I didn't mind H4 as much as a lot of people seem to.

I hope Sparth takes the harsh reaction the fanbase gave regarding his redesigns, and makes some fair compromises when it comes to his Covenant design and Spartan armor in multilayer.

He even messed up the one Flood model in the entire game, which I find odd because it seems like the Flood would suit his overly designed style so easily.

I will say I couldn't have been more pleased with how Dr. Halsey turned out, and I really dug the UNSC uniforms. I was also ok with vehicle designs such as the Warthog, Pelican and Broadsword.

It will be interesting to see how H2A turns out. I look for it to be a hybrid of Halo 3 and 4, with some heavy Halo Wars feels coming from the CGI cutscenes.

Is there any footage of Neighbor destroying kids in H2 at RTX?

It would be some interesting footage, it seems Neighbor isn't the only 343 pro being unstoppable:

All weekend we'll be letting you line up to be some of the very first people to see Halo: The Master Chief Collection and/or play our pros in Halo or Halo 2 Classic. No one was able to beat our pros today; in fact only one person was able to make just two kills on GH057ayame and they're going away with today's Grand Prize: an Xbox One, Astro A40s, a digital download of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, a Limited Edition Poster, and a Halo Micro Action Figure blind pack from Mega Bloks!

Sparth wasn't the AD on Halo 4, Kenneth Scott was. Sparth is the current AD now though.

Also, you may be overstating 'harsh reaction'

I can't wait, beyond hyped

Yup. I couldn't agree more with Max. I wished that more maps in both 2, 3, & 4 had interactive elements like Zanzibar. So seeing that map with that one is very cool. Always felt kind of weird not having something cool happen with that location in the original version back in the days.
