I'm glad the on screen map call outs from reach are back.

wow I didn't eve notice that! Thanks for the point out I missed those. It really should help with randoms in matchmaking(Assuming they aren't in party chat).

So while we all waiting for this awesome collection, which Halo game do you playing right now if any. I am keep coming back to Halo 3, but I do play SWAT on Halo 4 atleast once a week.

This looks like more appropriate thread to ask this question.

I have been playing a lot of halo 4 again since the dlc playlist is back, but its gone after this weekend I think.. Which will kill my drive to play it cause I'm tired of playing the same 4 maps everyone votes on -.- after that idk.. I cant stand halo 3's bad netcode & bullet travel and we all know how reach is =/ Such a terrible situation Grr.

i really liked the ricochet gametype in halo 4. The Pit was the perfect map for that game. cant see a h2 map that would be suited for it

It can work on a variety of maps tbh. not to mention we have forge in H2A so there should be easy to make maps tailored to ricochet =)

FyreWulff you're a warrior. Were you the one who made Haven in Reach too?

The best two reach haven makes imo were made by rezix333. One on forge island & one on the CEA for ridgeline.

Could it have to do with Twitch?

Besides the 6 Halo 2 Maps being remade in a new engine, what is happening to the 15 plus other Halo 2 maps? Are they getting redone in some form? Or are they just going to look like they did in Halo 2? What about all the Halo 1 Maps? Are they going to look any betteR?

All Halo 2 maps will be there in their original form in 1080p/60fps. Then you have the 6 remade Halo 2 maps for H2A on top of that. Halo 1, the same. Same maps, same everything except in 1080p/60fps.

My friends and I have been playing Halo Reach non-stop, not only is it the prequel that isn't included in the collection (For the obvious reason) it's also some of the best Halo multiplayer ever. We played some Halo 4 too.

We tried playing Halo 3 but nobody could get into it.

There is so much wrong in this post, I feel physically sick.

Two more minor things I noticed.

Assault Rifle is sitting here:

Weapon indicators are only visible when you are rather close to them. And the indicator do not show the exact weapon as a symbol like in Halo 4.

Yep and the weapon indicators are also not visible, if an obstacle blocks your view, from what I've seen in the gameplay. Might be just this build, but I hope it stays that way.

I so hope they make a fresh Forge, Maybe that is for Halo 5 but the Halo 4 Forge + all the previous stuff will make for some interesting maps. Just remove the damn budget!

Well, removing it at all won't be possible of course. But there is a chance it will be higher I think.

I laugh how 343 specialy said that it is a dev build and technical difficulties are expected and the first stuff people have to mention is how there is screen tearing.

What is screen tearing? I see the term thrown around a lot but I've never known what it's actually referring to.

I noticed some aliasing but that was about it in regard to graphical issues with the game.

The sky box is fucking gorgeous.

it looks like someone is rolling a camera shutter on the screen.

I'm hoping they show some footage of one of the other 3 games in the bundle at one of the upcoming panels. Halo 1 MP or Halo 3 @ 1080p would do it for me.

Halo franchise has some of the iconic trailer, 343 should have a special section in the universal menu for media. And there you can see all the trailers, making of the game ViDoc, music and etc. This would be pretty cool.

Opinions, how do they work?

I played tonnes of 3 and I absolutely love it. However nowadays it just feels off. I'm not sure why but going from 4 to 3 I genuinely prefer 4, even with all the rubbish on top like load outs.

That said I had more fun with 3 back when it released.

I cannot remember their reason for keeping it so low. Maybe it was to keep file sizes down but thats not really an issue now. At least 2x or 3x the budget. Or at least let us put down unlimited number of things. Sucks to run out of a certain objects because you put too many down.

All they need to do is take Forge and force it into the Farcry editor and off they go. Best console level editor ever.

This is actually exactly how I feel. I enjoyed Halo 3 in it's hey day, then got accustomed to Halo Reach and Halo 4 for the last 4 years and when I tried to go back I just didn't have anywhere near as much fun.

If it wasn't for Armor Lock I'd literally have no problem with Reach. Everything else varies from amazing to acceptable minus Armor Lock.

Nothing more frustrating than completely owning an opponent only to have them drop armor lock long enough for someone else to kill you.

Team betraying. It happens, but it really pisses me off when a teammate kills you just to take your weapon. It happened to me this weekend playing Halo 3 when someone wanted my sniper. Naturally, I went on to make his game least enjoyable wearing down his shields throughout the match. Which ended up making the match a lost cause. Childish of me? Yes, but I'll be damned if I let someone do that to me.

If they do have betrayals back in Halo 5 beta I wonder if there is a way 343 can have it that if a teammate does betray you. They or no one else on your team can pick up your weapons.

Opinions, guys.

If it makes you feel any better, our favorite multiplayer is Halo 2.
Yeah, and people are allowed to have opinions on opinions right?

That being said, my best friend and I have been playing all the halos we can online at least everyday for science.

4 we're just doing because he's almost 130 so it's too late to not just get it while he's there, and I do honestly wanna keep note of every single solitary shit thing in it for when I play Halo 2A and 5 Beta; So yeah science and shit.

Reach we play purely for invasion, and have played this the least so far actually because the Invasion playlist can be pretty dead at times.

And 3 we play because it's the best out of the 3. Even with its shit net code at times.

The pecking order is definitely 3>Reach>4. No shit obviously but yeah.

Any of you guys got a team going on for MCC? I decided I wanted to get one started to have full team communication for once instead of just talking to m firend and hoping the 2 others are smart by themselves.

Having the beta this early I'm willing to bet they'll have one more before release. I could be wrong but didn't Reach have two betas?

For Reach only 1 beta but for Halo 5 they are doing it almost a year early. So I also think there will be a final beta before the release.

I'm somewhat surprised they're not having any betas for the Master Chief collection. Even if it's not necessary, it'd still be good publicity for a console that is slightly struggling.

I'll probably play the Halo 5 beta for some time to see if it's anything I'm interested in, although coming out right after Christmas, when I'll have some new games to dive into, isn't ideal timing for me.

Betas don't make people pick up systems. To turn this ship around, Micrpsoft has to being out great games. That's it.

Also, I will play the H5 Beta as much as I can. I'm very interested in seeing the future of Halo.

I'm also going to play through all of the campaigns, in anticipation for the the next game. I'm going to try to do all of them on Legandary but that may be a tall order.

To be honest they're not going to turn it around. Outside of the UK and US they're dead. Keep in mind I'm not saying they're going to die. They're just not going to catch up to Sony though. Their stances pre launch also hurt them a hell of a lot too. That said I think Destiny & MCC along with the next gen port of GTA 5 will help move some consoles without a doubt. More so when you have Sunset Overdrive coming and a couple other great games already out.

Was talking to a friend about this today, but do you guys think they will add additional H2A maps as DLC (possibly free) later on down the road to fill the gap in-between Halo 5? Like next Spring/Summer?

Could be a good option, and if they hand them out for free then they'd get some good-will from the fan base.

I don't think so logically. I would be ok if they did though. I'd love to see eventually the entire Halo 2 map list ported over to it. But logically I just don't see it due to them being full bore into Halo 5 development once Halo: TMCC is released.

I could see it. I've been wondering about post-launch support myself, this would be a good way to do it.

The way you guys typing is very confusing. I hope you know every Halo 2 map is there but only 7 are remastered. So you guys asking for all remastered for later date right?

Yes. What he's talking about is eventually making all of them remastered. You have to remember in the collection you have Halo 2 MP which has every Halo 2 map and Halo 2 Anniversary which is just the 6 or 7 maps they are remastering and updating like Accension.

There are 6, and I'm just wondering if they bring over a handful extra as the year goes on approaching Halo 5.

I don't think it's out of the question.

Oh I'm not saying it's out of the question. If H2A mode proves to be insanely popular I could see them doing a pack or two just to make some easy cash. I wouldn't fault them for that too. I just don't see it happening though unless it really is a huge hit with folks. I don't think it will either because I think you'll see the majority in Halo 1 & 2 classic along with some in Halo 3. I think Halo 4's population is going to make the current 360 population look like COD's audience. That's how dead Xbone Halo 4 population will be.

I am pretty sure the "majority" will play H2A MP. The fresh visuals will show a huge influence.

The majority of the people will play the original Halo 2

The population breakdown will more than likely be this

1. Halo 2
2. Halo 3
3. Halo CE
4. Halo 2A
5. Halo 4

The updated visuals of the maps will only be for 6 maps, and is basically a really good mock of Halo 2. People will be drawn to the original Halo 2 engine with its 24 maps
