I wouldn't mind Mewtwo as long as he's not the same as in Melee. Lucario already stole some of his moves and properties.

Blaziken could conceivably be a Captain Falcon (or Mii Brawler) clone and it wouldn't feel out of place. Like Chrom, it just seems like a really uninteresting Smash Bros. character regardless of its popularity.

I still maintain that the previously-planned Plusle & Minun would be the best potential Ruby/Sapphire representative. They'd be a relatively simple addition (in that they'd use Pikachu as a base), but they'd also offer a unique gameplay mechanic by emulating Double Battles (back-and-forth fighting rather than Ice Climbers' simultaneous attacking). Their down special would probably be Helping Hand, which would power up the next Pokémon's attack.

I could see helping hand being in, but Sakurai would have to be fucking high to have it replace thunder. It's Pikachu's best attack.

The potential face of ORAS.

I would love Blaziken and it is up there as one of the most popular starters/pokemon. The only starter to get a mega evolution outside if the kanto ones. However I feel there would be overlap in Pokemon types as well as fighting styles. Sakurai can of course come up with an unique moveset if he wanted for Blaziken but so far I'm imagining a faster and lighter captain falcon clone. Id prefer Sceptile if they went with a Hoenn starter.

Depends. Perhaps Sakurai wants to keep it a secret, or perhaps he's the only Melee character returning, and Sakurai doesn't want it to seem like more Melee characters than just him will?

Perhaps he's saving a Mewtwo reveal for just before the game releases to hype people up and remind them to go out and get the game.

For the record Im doubtful he'll be in the game but if there were an additional pokemon outside of Jigglypuff it'd go to him.

Disappointed Robin isn't the stance switching character I imagined. I don't know why I did, considering the game. Still it would have been rad if he had one special dedicated to switching magics and that would effect the attributes of all his other specials like recovery, side b, etc

But he kind of switches stances. We see clear indication that his jabs, at least, are affected by the last magic he used.

I think that reveal order has zero relationship with character significance. You want to spread big hitters throughout.

I don't know how IGN came across it to put it in their banner for those Melee matches. It seems pretty obscure.

edit: and the shirt colors are actually not Ninten's, it should be yellow and blue like Ness. I don't know why it's red white and blue.
