Finally jumped into this game. It is freaking incredible.

Have they said whether playing the Beta will unlock anything in the final game?

I like the part where I visit the array station 3 times in a row.

God-tier game though, everything else is aces

So far from the truth, but that's alright. We've all gotta be wrong some of the time.

Have fun walking around ledges that titans and warlocks have no trouble blasting on top of.

At least, that's how I experienced most hunters in PVE. Nifty as a dodge mechanic in PVP maybe, but in terms of sheer reach and versatility? Nah.

Hunters have tons of other qualities that make them awesome though. I love every class in their own way.

Semi-related, I had to share this experience.

Once I received my code from Bungie I logged into my PSN account from work. I redeemed the code. I went to "My Downloads" and hit the "Download Now" button next to the Destiny beta.

My PS4, at home, woke up from standby, connected to PSN, downloaded the beta, installed it, and then went back into standby.

When I came home hours later, the beta was ready to go. I launched it and went straight into the game.

THAT IS SOME GODDAMNED MAGIC.

I did the same thing. WE LIVE IN THE FUTURE BRO.

Ok, finished the beta. I think, so wat is the deal, is this really going to be a subscription based game?
For what the tower hub? The game feels like a advanced coop game but bigger.
Games could be hosted on the machines it self with a max of 3 players.

Not sub based game.

I just played a mission in The Divide in which I was told to "scout enemy forces".
What the hell am I supposed to do?
I was there for like 20 minute killing enemies that kept respawning again and again, and the counter only got up to 87%.
I was fed up and left after a while.

LOL Ouch other team, does anyone else find that the actual FPS skill gap between Xbox and PS plays is super different.
I remember back on the ps3 and also when I played on PS4 that people that were on call of duty, just didn't seem as good on PS than on the xbox counterpart?
Correct/disagree with me if you want, but I seriously found it to be true IMHO

Great game, but put me in the crowd that thinks Dinklage was a bad choice for robot thingy. I am starting to think his an overrated actor. His accent in GoT struck me as extremely affected sometimes.

It's not subscription-based..

Am I just old, or is spotting ammo drops on the ground really annoying? It's just this tiny little bump and it gets hidden all the time, and there's not enough feedback when you actually manage to walk over some. It gets especially annoying in ammo-intensive fights like the spider tank boss where you're going to get killed if you have your head pointing at the ground like a goober. I shouldn't have to spend time trying to visually discern where ammo was dropped. I never had a problem with this in Borderlands for example. I'd just like for it to stand out more, especially the main gun ammo which is just a faint, tiny white box.

Am I wrong or are you one who said it was horrible?

I didn't say it's horrible, I just said in the alpha thread that I didn't particularly care for it compared to the PVE stuff.

But there's some good changes in the beta I think, the grenades do more damage now, the vehicles have been nerfed and scout rifles feel more effective in MP.

I don't know what else to do, I capped the level at 8 and I think I did almost all of the missions, is there any crazy weapons to grab? or upgrades? (I'm a warlock btw).

Same gripe. It's really hard to spot them.

yeah a litle light column coming up from the item would be nice for the ammo. especially since in the spider tank fight, there would always be special ammo in the water, and you couldnt see it.

Same boat man. I stick to PC for competitive gaming and will play this for cooperative goodness.

I like the idea of the MP but my God I can't hit anything. Constantly under or over aiming and aim assist doesn't help me much.

Only times I do well are capturing lots of bases or getting a ground pound kill on a bunch of dudes

Capture area. Have to stand within 5 meters of the mission market and it counts up to 100%

Exactly-- a little light column and some auditory click (or a louder one if there already is) when you pick it up would be perfect. I mean there's something wrong when even the bright green and purple boxes get hard to see in an intense fight.

May have been answered many times in this thread, but I tried looking though the past dozen pages and I couldn't find an answer: is there any way to display clan tags in the Beta?

I saw that now the game has been released, you have to leave the clan and then re-join. I just tried it, but won't be home until later to see if it worked. I DID NOT leave the group though, just the clan.

Have you hit Level 8 and are looking for something to do? Have you done any of this:

Public Events

Hang around one of the large areas long enough and a Public Event will trigger. The sky will turn dark and your Ghost will tell you about a special mission. But hurry! You only have a limited time to complete it! Here's the public events I've discovered thus far:

The Divide: Defeat the Devil Walker
Rocketyard: Eliminate the Target
Mothyards: Eliminate the Drilling Crews
Forgotten Shore: Eliminate the Target
Skywatch: Defend the Warsat

There might be multiple Public Events per sector, I'm not sure. And the Eliminate the Target one seems to be impossible solo.

P.S. For the first Public Event you get Gold Tier on each day, you'll get a reward. It's waiting for you back at the Tower.

Devil Walker

You know that Devil Walker from the Devil's Lair Strike? He's there in the same spot in the Explore mission. Go try and beat him solo! Or bring some friends and see if you can perfect a strategy.

Gold Chests

There are five Gold Chests littered around the area. They should appear in most missions. The first is the one you stumble across in the first mission. Find all 5 for a special bonus
an Uncommon Sparrow that is faster and more durable than the normal one
.

Bounties

You can take on a bounty from a merchant in the Tower. They come in two flavors: Vanguard and Crucible. They'll give you big EXP boosts so you can level up your gear and abilities much faster.
