Naruto Manga Thread (OT) - The End is here

Danzo made one of his biggest jerk moves when he took Shisui's eye, the guy was going to use Koto on Sasuke's dad and Danzo being the paranoid asshole he is wouldn't let him.

I just don't know why Danzo wouldn't even let Shisui at least try, its not like he could've made the situation any worse, smh.

I've seen a bit of praise for the Hidan/Kakuzu arc and I'm just curious as to why people like it. For me, it killed what I liked about Shikamaru from part 1 entirely, and Kishimoto's continued ass kissing of his character makes my eyes roll like crazy.

Back in part 1, Kakashi gives Sasuke the "revenge won't make you happy" speech. Sasuke was casting aside Naruto and Sakura, so I could get what he was doing. However...

Shikamaru was acting pretty cocky when talking to Tsunade, but the truth is that if the three of them did sneak off without anyone knowing, the only thing Shikamaru would have accomplished is getting the team killed. I wasn't a fan of Shikamaru finishing Hidan by himself. I wasn't a fan of Ino and Chouji being able to do nothing while Shikamaru was glorified. Hell, what they did in this War Arc is what they should've done back then.

Ugh, just typing this post makes me think of how much of a darling Shikamaru is for Kishimoto. It really annoys me.

I don't think the manga expects you to admire what Itachi did, I think you're supposed to pity him & the situation. Naruto was enjoyably gray around those arcs. When Itachi is brought back as an Edo Tensei he's somewhat regretful of his actions, and seems to think things could've gone differently if he wasn't so insistent on trying to handle everything by himself.

As for the Uchiha's and love thing, I feel like people were taking what Tobirama was saying way too literally. It's not that the clan is mentally ill, it's that the Sharingan's power is derived from loss and pain, something that was established a long time ago.

In a world where people are constantly fighting and dying, a clan that gets its superpowers from loss and pain is a pretty dangerous clan lol

This is an interpretation I can get behind. I still think that the fact that Itachi's built up to be a badass is problematic exactly because his actions are so completely unforgivable. There had to have been better alternatives to simply wiping out his entire people save for his own little brother. (Which is selfish when you think about it -- after all, he had no problem slaying other folk's innocent little brothers.)

I wish the love thing was handled the way you described it. It's not that they feel so much more strongly, it's simply that their physiology reacts to the anguish of war in a unique and dramatic fashion. The way Tobirama describes the phenomenon just sounds so lame to me.

Obito is the only good Uchiha. As long as you never mention Rin.

Obito for Hokage.

Um, Orochimaru is probably a less taboo choice to be hokage than obito at this point, considering what obito's done over the years.

He is responsible for the death of a hokage, he should be put to death.

Danzo deserved it though. Even the leaf were suspicious of him.

Hokage is going to be Naruto vs Sasuke.

At their current state those two are just so far above everyone else in terms of power and it will finally give people the Naruto vs Sasuke fight they have wanted for so long.

Now that I think about Naruto and Sasuke are way too powerful right now. I think there is no way they will keep their powers after this fight.

what are we talking about?

Naruto is at the most awesome end arc and we are talking about who will be Hokage?

Where most Naruto debates get side track by Kishi little plots.

For example if you are Talking about Itachi the conversation can go in a couple of ways.

1-Itachi said Jiraiya was stronger
2-Kabuto can kick Itachi's ass
3-How was Itachi a good guy again?

In the third one, then you have to mention Hanzo, then Tobirama, then the massacre, what happened to Sasuke, the relationship of Uchiha with the villages etc...

Didn't Itachi mind fuck an innocent woman and to turn her into a prostitute in order to get Intel on Jiraiya? Fuck that guy.

I want my Naruto vs Sasuke fight god dammit.

The original one will always be one of the greatest fights in shounen history.

Naruto part 1 was so great if you ignore the fillers
I feel like watching it again after seeing those gifs

It also makes me sad how the series ended up
It's such a mess now

Awww yeah (I actually haven't seen that fight again after I watched it live on Toonami) time to watch some fights.

I just watched the Hospital fight and is amazing how far things had changed between team 7.

I don't want them to fight again. The show is called Naruto and we all know Naruto is going to own Sauske. I like the idea that Naruto "saved" him more than Sauce cecoming heel again.

Shame the way they both developed, a melee fight can't happen as if Naruto so much as grazed Sasuke with a finger tip, dude would explode into a bloody mess.

Sasuke needs snake sage mode or something.

Nah, Naruto can just beat him into a bloody pulp to show him who is boss and after that we get a scene of Naruto going to punch him in the face, but instead of giving him a final strike he offers him his hand so he can get up. Naruto's Shinoby headband falls into the ground, Sasuke grabs it and put it on.

Finally Sasuke accepts to come back to the leaf as village Ninja, Naruto won't need the headband anymore, he get's a Hokage hat.

I said it before but Danzo got shit done and Hiruzen let him because he was a pussy.

Danzo did what was necessary for the village and Hiruzen spent his time dicking about with the school children and letting his psychotic student run amok and stage a rebellion that nearly destroyed the leaf.

Danzo is the GOAT.

It always baffles me when people praise the shit out of figures like Danzō and Tobirama. I mean, have you not read the manga at all? Have you paid so little attention that you fail to see how such figures perpetuate the Cycle of Hatred that is machinated by the current shinobi system, that they're responsible for the Orochimaru's and Itachi's of the world? Think about every notable villain in the manga.

Zabuza was directly spawned by the shinobi system through an archaic and bloody rite of passage that fucked him up for life. Orochimaru, Sasori and Nagato all lost their loved ones due to war and went down a path of darkness because of it.

Kisame became disillusioned by the big fucking lie that the whole machine was and went rogue. Sasuke lost his entire clan and went rogue. Kakuzu was cast out of his village for failing to assassinate Hashirama and went rogue.

Gaara is just another example of this shit.

Hey, fuck it, so are Kabuto and Sai and all the other operatives Danzō recruited from a young age to become his tools.

It's people like Danzō and Tobirama that keep supporting this broken fucking machine that keeps coming back to haunt them, and yet so many people have nothing but praise for the two.

Here's how I see it.

Danzō was a shortsighted, insecure, warmongering prick that acted pre-emptively and behind Hiruzen's back like a true coward to massacre the entire Uchiha clan, weakening Konoha as a whole. The Uchiha were dissatisfied with their situation and plotting a coup, yes, but who was responsible for that? The blame doesn't lie with them alone. Tobirama was responsible for isolating them in the first place and making them enforce the law which made them unpopular.

Also, what the fuck, Hiruzen is the pussy? The God of Shinobi that choose not to outright annihilate the entire Uchiha clan with full force once he knew of their plot but instead tried to fix things before they got out of hand - like, you know, a real leader would do? Killing those that disagree with you with overwhelming force is easy. Keeping the family together by working shit out is hard. Only a pussy does what's easy, and it takes someone of real character to do what is right, even when it costs them.

So, yeah, how did that play out again? Right. Danzo's stupid ass decisions came back to bite him in the ass. He got murdered by Sasuke before he could become Hokage, and he got lucky he went out that easy, because he sure as fuck deserved more suffering and humiliation than he got before he failed in his suicide-homicide attempt.

If Sasuke hadn't gotten his head out of his ass and realised he had been manipulated his entire life, he might have turned into a new Madara and fucked things up even more.

Tell me how Danzō is the GOAT again.

How is Naruto going to fight Sasuke at this point?

they are like brothers right now, it really would be lame to have Sasuke want to fight Naruto after his war arc

They haven't really resolved shit. Yeah, Sasuke is back and all, but he wants to be Hokage, and it's been hinted at that his methods won't jive well with Naruto's intention (see the chapter where Sasuke tries to burn the Jūbi instead of saving the bijū).

I think a fight is very possible. The question is though, how? There's no way Sasuke can match Naruto, that simply wouldn't work unless Naruto got nerfed big time.

Even worse is that Sasuke's big ability has a range. Naruto can just do that Country buster attack of him and wipe him out, I don't think Perfect Susanoo can tank it.

Here's the way I see it.

Close Range: Sasuke's gets fuck. Naruto is faster or at least has faster reaction times (Kaguya couldn't do to him that she did to sauce), his endurance is at least 10 times higher, his defense is enough to tank a nuke and can heal himself on top of that, his physical strength in on a whole different league, multishadow clone jutsu is a bitch to fight against and so are the true seeking balls and his multiple limbs, wind style ransengan has elemental advantage so if they clash Sasuke will just end up losing an arm, to top it all, he even lost his sword.

Mid Range: Sasuke's Susanoo can give him an edge on his one, but he needs to watch out for that expanding Lava technique, it's a deadly technique at close, middle and long range, with a crazy wide ratio.

Long Range: Is not even close, the Multiple Nuke Rasenshuriken (I don't remember the name but the range of that explosion is bigger than some cities) might be too much for him. Even worse is that he didn't show any fatigue or effort to do it.

Maybe Sasuke can tie against a clone while Naruto chills with Gaara, eating some ramen and drinking Sake.

Yup.

Sasuke's teleportation is like a glorified Shunshin technique. Naruto runs lap around him in KCM since he's faster than A when using it. When it comes to taijutsu, Naruto simply demolishes Sasuke in close combat. He can use his clones far more efficiently now and can also use chakra arms so the Sharingan won't help much. Ninjutsu? No contest. When it comes to range and destruction, Naruto simply makes Sasuke look like an amateur.

Not even genjutsu would work since Naruto has nine bijū that can bail him out at any time.

Dayuum, Naruto was getting up in that ass.

Too bad Sasuke had both Sharingan AND curse seal hax powers. Fucking lame.

And isn't Sasuke supposed to be as fast as Rock Lee at that point?

I remember when the author had Naruto as dumb as can be while Sasuke was shown as very smart with the use of his skills.

But now you have Naruto who seems to be very efficient at planing his moves and thinking a few steps ahead in a fight. Naruto has been the one giving Kaguya the most trouble so far that she was forced from her plan of just draining the chakra to going after the kill instead.

I don't want to see Naruto get nerfed or Sasuke getting another level up to make a fight happen between the two

you don't gimp Naruto after all of this process of growth

Naruto tactical skills:

make a whole bunch of clones, then hit the enemy with a Rasengan while they're distracted.

That Pain fight was terrible. He ended the fight with the same strategy he was using at the beginning. I don't understand how he had so much trouble.

I'm Rewatching Naruto's fight from part one right that and what makes him win is a combination of.

1-people underestimating him (that doesn't happen now as he is a know hero, acknowledge by many)

2-Off the wall strategies (Fart into Kiba's nose, Stick a exploding Kunai into Gaara's ass)

3-Actual smart strategies. (Tricking Neji with his clones, Turn Gamabunta into the 9tails against Shukaku

4-Never giving up. He stands up and continues fighting long after his breaking point, plus a little bit lf Kyuubi Chakra.

If I can sum up his strategy, I would say it is "Distraction, Unpredictability and S-rank Jutsus"

Anyone can break down and oversimplify pretty much any shōnen battle manga like this so I don't really see your point.

Naruto's entire fighting style is based on the first real jutsu he learned because it's effective and suits his unpredictable personality. He uses clones for information gathering and misdirection, two key elements to pretty much every shinobi fight. And it's not like it comes easy to him since he puts himself as great risk when he uses his clones by coming at his opponent directly when they don't expect it.

e.g. Naruto VS Kakuzu. The way he won that fight was brilliant. He used his clones to gather information on Kakuzu while he hung back and then went at him for real. Kakuzu thought he was too chicken to come at him directly so he never saw him coming.

The Pain fight (lol at you calling it terrible, that's just ridiculous hyperbole) was one of the fights in which Naruto actually used less clones than usual. He only used clones in significant numbers at the end when he ambushed the Deva Path by transforming into rocks.

The point is, while Naruto uses clones and Rasengan in every fight, you'd have a hard time convincing anyone it's a bad strategy because it's that fighting style that's allowed him to not only compete with more experienced and powerful shinobi, but also beat them using his flair for unpredictability and guts.

It was a great fight, but greatest in shonen history? I have to disagree with that.

I also realized that it may be the longest fight in any anime ever, for better or for worse.

He could have ambushed Deva Path at anytime after he killed all the other ones but somehow it only occurred to him after he got stabbed up and went full retard after Hinata got slammed. It is still stupid.

That Pain fight was also stupid in how Naruto and Kakashi forgot their ground-digging technique (used when Kakashi buried Sasuke during the first bell test and when Naruto uppercut Neji).

I'd say right now they are pretty equal. Why they would fight? Hokage championships lol

I also want to say this stuff isn't exclusive to Naruto. Naruot Shippuuden has some amazing fights as well. Very hand to hand and martial arts like, just what inspired the Kishimoto in the first place.

So... what's the thrust of Sasuke's new move? He swaps places with things, right? That's why Sakura's vest was in the other dimension in the last panel of the last chapter. Sounds awfully similar to Law's ability in One Piece.

No, wait, it sounds IDENTICAL to the replacement jutsu that scrub ninja have been using since day one of the fuckin manga. What makes it special again? Did replacement jutsu have to be set up manually ahead of time? What was the actual mechanism there?

The games had me thinking you could just poof away from an attack last second whenever you want as long as you have chakra.

Manga never really explained it in any detail.

The only real way it could work is if it was a high level space/time jutsu. It's why we don't see it anymore in the manga, kishi want's to forget it exists, since it sorta causes a plot hole.

It seems Sasuke can teleport within a limited distance and perhaps substitute within a larger distance seeing as how the dimensions were supposedly very far apart and Sasuke already did a weird substitution like move, albeit ineffective, on Madara to stab him with his sword.

I'm going to blame Studio Pierrot and them either running out of time, money or both for the laughter that was the pain fight.

When they do have both though......

(pardon the bad quality)

Naruto anime has AMAZING fights. Combine that with the awesome music. Pleasure to watch. I am consistently rewatching fights on youtube.
The problem is the pacing, at least post tineskip. Naruto isn't a very content rich manga even for a weekly Shonen. A 1:1 or even slower correspondence between episodes and chapters is horrible

In a perfect world Gai would have beaten Madara and ended the war. Dying as the true hero of the ninja people.
Guy (in dying breath): you see that kakashi! I saved the world

Kakashi: huh...what? oh, hey there, didn't see you.

Guy: burns me up...always acting....so cool....

;_;

it always made me laugh how aloof kakashi was, straight trolling the shit out of guy.
