Anybody got anything other than a heavy machine gun that has the "accuracy increased when crouching" perk? Because that perk is sick. Makes your hipfire accuracy pinpoint when crouching and allows you to go full auto hip fire and remain accurate. If you could get that for any other gun....
I've got a Scout Rifle with that.

You actually don't get that many points from holding the bases. The bulk of the points seemingly come from kills irritatingly enough.

You get 0 points for holding a point, not counting the points for initially capping or neutralizing. Holding a point gives you a bonus to your score when you kill someone. More points held = higher score when you get a kill.

Moon: get 2 people to get their sparrow out and Cap A someone gets in the tank someone else in the pike and the other in there sparrow and get B

Guy in the sparrow when he gets to be get on the turret and provide cover. Bam.

This doesn't cut it, when two of the three classes can handle the whole team in one move, and one of these gets extra body armor, especially in Iron Banner. You basically asking your teammate to hold down the entire fort on their own, especially when the other team is going to be coming from different points. You need at least 3 unless you have just titans who are ready to super. That's if you're trying to hold the point.

Yeah they need to fix that. I've had times where we control two bases and yet the other team is winning because my idiot teammates keep attacking the one they have left where all of them are.

Yea I've lost a couple of matches in that exact manner despite us having the two bases on lock for a ridiculously long period.

When I stood by the railing watching out over the city I realized that the wall wasn't going around it completely. For example: there is a huge mountain pass in front of the Tower with no wall protection at all (you can see it from the Vanguard area). I wonder why they built the city like this if the outside area is so dangerous. And on the screenshot below there's barely a wall at all. Perhaps this is from a different time period when they were still developing the city defenses.

This isn't true as I've been a part of a few 4k comebacks because of team effort like this. The maps are spaced but close enough that your team can move as a group from point to point while also covering any lanes the enemy might make to get around you. Especially on maps like the moon that have vehicles, and venus that has all the jumping which makes it even easier for people to be caught out of position.
If 5 people are sitting in a literal bullseye, they deserve to get nuked.

And if 5 people are on one ckeared objective, then obviously they aren't anywhere else - and it's going to take time for them to get from that point to the next. Its too easy to defend against an obvious wave motion like that and its not something I'd recommend practicing regularly at all in any game. 5 people in one empty spot is just stupid. You're saving yourself 3 seconds while making your entire team vulnerable and predictable.

No one has the supers in the first 2 mins tho. All it takes is an early 2 flag lockdown and from there you can work the other team like they are a puppet for atleast 5 mins. You don't have to stay at one spot the whole time, that would be stupid tbh and like I said if you were a hunter you can golden gun dudes in eye sight. titan or not

I think I had one that I sold. What does elemental damage even do in this game? They don't do a good job of explaining it.

I've seen three types; Arc (lightning) which takes off shields easier, Solar (fire) which does DoT I'm guessing, I also think it may take down Wizard shields easier? Then there's Void, forgot what that does. They also correlate to each of the class abilities:

Titan Hulk Smash = Arc
Golden Gun = Solar
Warlock Magic Missile = Void

I'm kind of worried about the amount of content in this game. We still don't know which planets are going to have content in the game, do we? I used to assume that it was all in our solar system, but now I'm starting to think that won't be the case. What about locations within these planets? We still don't have actual confirmation that any locations other than Old Russia are in on Earth, right (I don't count the Tower)? Will each planet have multiple locations? Will Old Russia have more missions than we see in the beta, or is that the extent of missions on each location? How many PvP maps are there? Is there a custom PvP game mode like in Halo?

I just wish we had a better idea of the amount of content. I used to think that this game would absolutely be packed to the brim with planets, locations, missions, maps, etc. but as we move closer to launch and still don't know anymore than we did before, I'm more worried.

Confirmed locations (for PvE):

Earth
Venus
Mars
Moon
The Reef

We don't know if there will be more than one location per planet/Moon/Whatever The Reef is, but there is definitely more to Old Russia than the missions we can access in the Beta. For instance, there's an area in the Beta called the Seraphim Vault that is accessible via glitching.

I believe I've seen Wizards take extra damage from weapons that deal Solar damage. So I guess certain enemies are weak to specific elemental damage.

I use scout rifle in PvE just fine but PvP I can't seem to use it. I had to switch to my auto rifle to start getting a bit better in PvP. I dont know how to use scout rifle effectively in crucible

True dat

Literally the same thing for me

Ive been exclusiving using the scout rifle. reminds me of the DMR. Even with the crazy auto rifles i still put them down. Gotta aim for the head at all times. I can bring people down in just a few hits.

I'm telling you it works and I've been a part of multiple thousand point comebacks because of it. It's pretty much a Battlefield technique. The team doesn't rush from point to point, they sweep to the next point making sure nothing gets through. And it's not obvious as no one planned it, it just happens organically once a team gets pushed to a certain point. It's gotten to the point where if my team is far behind early, I expect us to get even by the end of the match.

Of course not, but I've yet to have a match with randoms that has had a lockdown for more than a few seconds. If you have an organized fire team, then yea you can trust your teammates to do their part, but in randoms, the best you can hope for is people to get fed up with the back stabbing and just be thorough on their way to the next point. And usually it happens.

Does that mean....that Bungie is gonna let us into it?!?!? ._.

Where is that? Looks cool. I'm sure there are tons of great bizarro structures, etc.. lying about. The black box in Bunker Ras-2 comes to mind. I feel like that large pipe next to the ocean where you find a dead ghost along the forgotten shore is another candidate for something that'll open up.

I'm also kind of bummed that areas that were open in Exploration during the alpha have are closed off now; the area in the The Breach that leads to that car graveyard is now closed off. I also wish you could explore your way through to where the Strike mission ends as well as I hate getting booted once a story/strike mission wraps up.

Welp. There it is. I think that's near the same location as that dead ghost near the pipe as well? Crazy how there was another ghost to be activated in an area that you have to glitch into.

I'm still confused about the MP balance. Does finding a "better gun" in the wild actually benefit a player as much as the weapon's stats indicate?

Explain to me how 5 people on one empty point doing literally nothing in a 6v6 is any kind of map control.

I'm not hating on your comebacks, but cornering your entire team is a regular recipe for disaster. BF really doesn't have much of a tie in at all.

Lol I've been playing this game for so long and this is the first time I've heard this. Always thought it was just a different name for domination...

I did! Sort of. No damage over time with Solar though?

Having a pulse rifle with arc damage is really handy btw, it takes off entire shields of fallen captains and then some with one shot.

Because 5 people on a point takes like 5 seconds to cap, while 2 people takes 20. No one is standing around for some amount of time. If your whole team is on the point, you're pretty much stopping for a brief second before taking off again. There is nothing worse than capping a spot with teammates and then seeing the speed drop as they fan out to go somewhere else, then you get Nova bombed out of nowhere before the cap is finished.
