I don't think you're grasping the concept of map control.

And you're like... Begging to give away multikills with that concept, but the whole start of this was you and others wondering why that's happening.

I think you're picturing people standing in a cluster running from point to point, which isn't what happens. People swarm to a point from all different angles then quickly disperse in other angles but all towards the next point, but able to watch for anything trying to come through. The only time people are together is at the point. Other than that, it's a thin line where everyone is a screen or so away from each other. It's trusting in a random to at least alert you with their death.

Any signs that there will be more unique weapon classes in the full game? As it is now, we've seen these kinds of weapons:

Sniper
Shotgun
Rocket
MG
Pistol
Automatic Rifle
Semi Automatic Rifle
Charging Rifle.

We need more variety. What about a constant-laser beam? What about melee weapons? What about dual wielding? What about guided/auto targeting weapons? I want to see some funky alien guns, damnit.

Yep. We need more of these. Every one of these except that charging rifle are your standard shooter weapons. We need more unconventional stuff to use. All this fantasy future technology, and all we've seen so far is stuff we already could play in a contemporary game.

Meh babies. Served me well.

It's not really that obvious when every other game about holding territories is about keeping them. I did notice you got points for Killing people but man I just thought that was to balance out if somebody was dominating you.

Its exactly what I'm picturing because its what was described lol

There is no reason to ever have 5 people that close together. If you want to gradually come off of that point, go into further detail, etc go on ahead. You're carrying the risk of getting bombed in an instant and you telegraph to the other team exactly where your entire team is. Its massive risk that's largely unnecessary and inefficient to say the least in this gametype.

Man I had such a fantastic experience last night.

SO I was playing with my friend who just got his new PS4, and we're just roaming about in freeroam admiring the scenery and skyboxes, as well as doing some light grinding to hit that level 8 cap. We eventually stumbled upon the portion of the map with the hive ship you can go inside, and the both of us decided to link up with five other guys just roaming the area.

Now everything goes as it expects for the first handful of minutes or so, with all of us completely stomping on the isolated groups of enemies. But then, all of a sudden the game decided to just start throwing wave after wave of high level baddies at us. At one point all seven of us were fighting off no less than 3 wizards and two captains, as well as what felt like a small army of grunts.

Essentially it was madness for a good couple of 15 minutes, with the flow of the battle actually tipping between us and the AI at various points during the fight. Of course once we finally mopped up the last couple of enemies, it was time for the good old destiny dance party.

I am so sold on this game.

Awesome. I kept expecting your post to turn south because of your avatars frowny face.

I'm going through withdrawals already. Is that bad?

You didn't see all those GAFfers asking when the beta is up again ? We're all in the same boat friend.

This sinking boat...

I wish the beta never stop until the retail release. What do you want Bungie ? Are we only tools for you ? What do we have to do ?!

Sounds like a blast. I havent run into this Fallen Hive war yet.

That's a bad trade off in a lot of instances, you're just denying yourself one of the few ways your team can get points.

I would actually actively plan to nuke entire teams with a super when they'd come to recapture a point. I'd hide somewhere indescript where their radar wouldn't be able to find me immediately, wait for them all to pour in and start capping, then flying leap and do a titan slam and watch the kills reign in.

I'd have the aftershocks ability too and sometimes I'd nab a few late-arriving players as well.

Ooh I'm off on Wednesday when the Betas back. Nice!

I really should calm down playing it mind. I have nothing left to unlock but Crucible is drawing me back in. Hopefully though we'll see some more surprises in the next few days to keep some freshness as well.

Just go to Skywatch and wait around..once you see "The enemies are moving on each other" (or something like that) it will start

I've gotten involved in it a few times to get the Exalted Hive bounty done

Same with me. 2 PM Pacific means 1 AM at GMT+4 in my location. Come on Bungie, put reasonable limited time events for your fellow non-American fans. D:
This. Not to mention they only give PDT times for officials events/announcements/etc, so most people get confused by the timezone conversion (see the numbers of "when do this event start ?" thread in reddit).

Yep, there is a world outside of 'Merica.
Let's get this going on Bungie.net!

Im watching some of my gameplay on Blind Wars and i really love the music they add to the matches. I understand wanting to turn off the music for montages and competitive play, but i like how it makes it feel more like a campaign environment and it sets the mood and for the match. Especially those timpanis at the end.

Marty never disappoints.
