Depends on how you snipe. Stability and Rate of Fire on a sniper are the most important stats IMO. If either is low, dont bother.

I prefer the ones with a shorter range. Dont need a large zoom unless you're on First Light

Void=Space Magic/Gravity?

And the basic damage type is Kinetic.

I guess later in the game, some enemies might be highly resistant to 1-2 types of damage and weak to another. Carrying two guns of the same type but different element will probably be a must.

I'd be willing to bet the raid is going to require everyone to have weapons of specific damage types in order to take down the bosses.

Most Control games, players just kinda run back and forth between zones. But there's no reason to when you have two zones, since you can only really hold two at a time.

The best strat id often use on Shores of Time is to set up in the jungle by C with a few snipers who can watch that Zone and the rest stay in front of B. You secure the heavy Ammo, two zones and great lines of sight. The other team gets A spawn (which is exposed) and a zone with no sightlines to either one.

But unlike Blind Watch, this set up can be broken with good snipers, supers and the heavy ammo that spawns at A.

Rusted Lands may be the most balanced, but Shores of Time is currently the most skill based IMO.

On the other end of the spectrum, the Mars map is terrible. Owning "A" is a death wish. You spawn so far from everything, and there is no good way to penetrate either "B" or "C". In face, due to the open windows, whoever owns "B" probably owns "C" as well anyway. I love the look of the map, but it seems to have the worst territory marker placement I've seen.

Yeah, I've been saying this for a while. Lag will DESTROY this game online. Bungie writes really poor netcode, and we're in 2014.. Not having dedicated servers is unacceptable.

Since we're all in a stat posty mood now:

Could be better, but frankly, I'm only willing to go so far for this game's PvP. It is the aspect of this game that I like the least.

I miss the social aspects of Destiny the most, interestingly enough. I like joining people on my friend list randomly and supporting them in a few quests, helping people fight a boss that they haven't fought before, and so on. I love the chats about where a certain item is or what gear is the best to use. I wish that there were more people in each world or more people required to fight specific bosses. I want the MMO-like parts of this game to get expanded.

team splitting is dumb. its one thing if someone joins your fireteam and ends up on the other side to balance the game, but it shouldnt split you when you start a new search. i hope its just for beta purposes.

It basically shows off a few new maps at specific times each day and tests some weapon balancing out.

Only used a Sniper for a game or Two, they aren't usually my thing.

The war is sweet. I ran into it in the middle of a story mission. Felt super immersed.
