See, I don't even like you other classes, but I'll do you both favors.

I'm working on it. My plan is to release one big download with everything I can get, but that means waiting until the Beta finishes in case, say, the Moon gets unlocked and missions on it have new music. The wait also affords me more time to make sure my recordings are as clear as possible and to make sure I don't miss anything (or at least anything big). As a tease, here's a piece of music I missed when I was ripping from the Alpha.

The Devils Lair Strike 1

Can't wait!

I really want the music from the Tower, specifically 1 song that plays that is really relaxing and has made me just stop and do nothing for a bit.

Well if you eat ether seeds, every enemy does drop glimmer. And you can kind of 'farm' for loot chests if you know the locations.

Really? I didn't know the ether seeds made all enemies drop glimmer. I assumed it was just the enemies that already naturally dropped glimmer. I just watched a video about glimmer farming so I guess I will start making plans to run through locations where chests may appear.

When you know a lot of the potential chest spawn locations, you can get plenty of glimmer. I can get 1-2k in ~5 minutes I suppose? Take note of where they can spawn, figure out a route, and go around. Chests respawn randomly, but fairly frequently. Virtually every one of those caves and small dead end rooms are potential spawn points. Many rooftops, alcoves and so on are as well.

But yeah, requiring yellow enemies, target elimination missions or consumables to earn glimmer is a bit of a bummer. Hopefully they don't nerf chests too, or if they do not too hard, because, while I'm fine with grinding a strike repeatedly or whatever hoping for a nice piece of loot, the glimmer grind is nasty without chest routes in the beta imo x.x

The Crucible's glimmer is an absolute joke, and the strike doesn't pay off well in that area either x.x Only one of the five core mission types in explore grants glimmer from my experimentation, and it seems to be the rarest type(I came across it much more often in the alpha). And with only yellow enemies dropping glimmer naturally without an uncommon consumable, and generally a measly 25... Blah.

Thanks. Thats a good amount of glimmer in a short time. When the beta is back online I'll try learning a great route to get the glimmers quikcly. Yep, having to grind for glimmer feels bad to me so hopefully they change something up in the final build.

Only Fallen enemies, not all enemies.

It really sucks that the Xbox Beta starts at 10 AM on the 23rd.. As someone said, it's already half a day gone for a lot of places, even worse in parts of Europe.

I enjoyed the music when the Hive appears for the first time. Even though I had played Alpha and already expected it, I had my surround cranked up load as hell and that sequence had my heart pounding. Was awesome. The sound the hive were making, the music, the walls shaking at each blast from my shotgun. Awesome. Nothing beats a good sound system that really brings out the finer details of the sound and music and sucks you in.

Those random events had the same effect. The sudden change in the sky, my walls shook at the sound of that massive mothership entering the atmosphere, then the tense music kicking up. Awesome stuff. Bungie has done a fine job with all the weapon sounds and the music and ambience

There's a Black Wax Idol item that does the same for Hive. But yeah, fallen are far more common, and as such so are Ether Seeds to use on them.

Okay, good to know. I don't think I've had a Black Wax Idol yet. I know I have some Ether Seeds though, just not sure where I got them.

From what I've seen, the items are fairly uncommon drops from yellow health mobs. Ether Seeds are pretty common from Sepiks(hard to see them, they look like little pyramids. Like the items from drop collection missions, without the handy icon.). I've had a few drop from Reavers as well.

The only idol I've come across, I got during The Dark Within, assuming from the wizard. As special Hive mobs are rare in the beta, it's not too strange that these aren't common either.
