Let's assume there are at least 2 distinct locations on the four planets, each with a strike and explore mode, and at least 5 story missions. That'd be 20 story missions and 8 strikes and explore modes. And this is just bare minimum. Planets could have 3, 4 or 5 separate locations.
If there were 4 locations on Earth, Venus, Mars and the Moon each, that'd mean 16 explore missions, 16 Strikes, and 80 story missions. The moon probably has a bit less, so you could knock it down to 70 story missions, 14 strikes and 14 explore modes. This may or may not include expansions.
That's a lot of content, especially for just a year. This doesn't even include the Raid, Crucible or that Vanguard thing, which people are probably going to play to death for much longer.
I don't think anyone should be worried about the amount of content in Destiny. Don't expect 50 strikes or something, and the numbers above are probably even a bit generous, but we've seen only a glimpse of what awaits us. Now whether or not those bosses are fun to fight and those areas are interesting to explore will be another thing, but I don't think anyone will be posting 3 months later and asking "is that it?"
