Yup, similar. Warframe is awesome, spent a lot of time with it at the ps4's launch.

I thought of Warframe from the beginning. :)

Choosing the mission and gamemode via the planet and their links is basically the same in Warframe and Destiny.
 
I would love to see a post-mortem or a documentary on the lost Santa Monica sci-fi game that was supposedly so close to this game they ended up canning it.

Would just like to see how it looked, visually, how close it actually was, etc.

Lens flare whenever it gets charged.
 
Sorry if this has been posted somewhere already but, Living in the UK would I be able to play with my dad who lives in Canada? or is it regional only as the beta leads me to believe?
 
Hey, quick question, how do you level up specific skills/attributes? Is it by using them?

Example: I play as the Warlock. I wanted to upgrade my grenade skill to unlock a new grenade type, so I spent about an hour and a half just killing Fallen and Hive with only my grenade. But when I checked my stats, if seemed as if the bar didn't move at all.

1: Depends on the class. Bowing is a Warlock thing, Saluting is a Titan thing, and I don't play a Hunter so idk what their wave is.

2: Pay attention to your motion tracker. Be sure to crouch, it won't eliminate your 'signature' on enemy MTs, but it helps. Also, practice, practice, practice. Try a Level 8 Strike for some good practice.

3: Experiment with different rifles. Personally I prefer Scout Rifles to Pulse/Auto Rifles. Oh, and are you playing Iron Banner or regular Crucible? Iron Banner mode allows for level advantages so you might not be geared up to take on the Iron Banner just yet.

4: You're not a douche.

5: If you're wiping out on the mesh relay wave portion of the Strike you may want to consider leveling your dude through Explore mode or Story missions. Your skills will continue to rank up past level 8 too.

Thanks Darthbob, I'll follow that advice. I've had more luck on regular crucible rather than Iron Banner. Tomorrow will be practice and experimentation time.
 
Can't wait to see clans using Shaders on their gear to form clan colors and such like that.

Cosmetics is going to drive this game. People will spend dozens of hours farming to try and get that single piece of gear that has that specific list of modifications and that specific look, etc.

Heh not really. Few people mentioned this being a bit similar to Warframe, which got me thinking about that Santa Monica game that was supposed to be very similar to Destiny.

Check your main character profile. You will see 3 attribute icons near the right panel where your armor is. Strength, Discipline .... something else. Armor will add to those, which in turn will increase cooldown speeds for various things like your melee special, super charge attack, or grenade.

Destiny memories running low. The withdrawal symptoms have begun; I cannot even bring myself to rise from my bed as the shivering and sweating is too much to bear. I curse the Bungie devils and their willingness to bestow so strong a drug only to take it away just as quickly. I don't know if I'll make it until tomorrow.

I sit on the title screen listening to the music. It is my desire to once again enter the game world. the servers are down.. I feel itchy..tasty..

With all the games you played did you even have time to eat or sleep? You can't quit cold turkey like that man.
 
As a possible alternative to an audio indication, maybe we could get some little dots next to our crosshairs when they're ready?

This is a tough one. There probably needs to be some extra indication, but it's hard to find a good way of communicating that information to the player without being annoying or messing up the game's attractive and carefully crafted UI.

The Dragon's breath clan will take you in, in your time of desperation. The clan chief is a noble leader that goes 1-7 on BF4. he is most wise.

I think the melee knife should either change color or have a glow when the throwing knife is ready.

Dull color for knife regenerating, faint glow for one knife and bright glow for two knives (when that skill is unlocked).

OR there should be a countdown timer on the grenade and knife icons. So, as soon as I throw my grenade or knife, it should show me 10 over the icon representing the number of seconds before it is ready to be thrown again, and that number will increase or decrease depending on my skills and stats that boost regen speed.

You can play together as long as you join the same fire team. He joins you or you join him.

Which brings me to another questions, not sure if it has been asked before; is it going to be possible to play PvP against a friend? Being in a fireteam your friends are always on your side, I wonder if we will be able to play against our friends and team members?

It is a bit more in-depth now though as each game has its own " recent activities , related items, more info " sections and various other things. Can rate the games, give em a thumbs up vote, etc.

Like Destiny for example is cool, it shows a leaderboard for you and your friends with various things like, " most strike kills, most crucible points in a round " etc. With your friends score and your rank in the list.

Still trying to decide if I want to buy a PS4 and Destiny or wait a little longer and just get it on PS3. I'm still playing 2 games currently and have 2 more I haven't started yet. Don't really want to buy a new console when I'm playing the PS3 alot still.

When I bought PS2 and PS3 I didn't have this problem. :/

It's totally possible. I was with my friend on the same fireteam and one time we were split up against each other for some reason. It was weird.

Definitely not a bad thing as warframe is bad ass. Though destiny obviously is a much bigger budget title with much far reaching and lenghy goals IMO.
