Yeah, the ability to use characters on ANY platform for this and other games would only incentivize people into double or even triple dipping. Has there ever been a game that does this?

is their a revive special? Considering anyone can already revive anyone. Or is it more like an automatic revive without having to manually do anything?

I just don't understand why people went in for Xbox One given everything that happened. First, the PS4 had a stellar reveal with Bungie even taking the stage and announcing exclusives. Then, Microsoft had a poor reveal and a convoluted vision of game ownership. Then the $100 price difference. Then the significant difference in performance. My regular group on XBL discussed it quite a bit in party chat last year and we all agreed to go with the PS4. It's only recently Microsoft's begun to turn it around.
The obvious yet expensive solution is to get all the versions of Destiny, which I may very well do myself. At least the exclusive content will eventually come to Xbox, and in the end, all versions will be at parity.

Not a bug. I have a different ship and I can see peeps. I think it all depends on where they're coming from. If they did a mission on Mars and are going to the moon and you're already on the moon loading for another moon mission, you won't see them and vice versa, or something like that.

I just hope there isn't gonna be too much ridiculous extra stuff for the PvP.
What I mean is, during the beta, it was 90% the gungame that counted with the usual nades and then the occasional supercharges, but those are fun. If I read what kind of extra super abilities will be unlocked later on, I just don't hope it's gonna ruin the PvP's core gungame with some absurd fantasy crap. Keep that for the PvE.
Keep it well balanced and you have people like myself and my friends/clanmemebers from Socom (and some of them reaaaaally hate fantasy/futuristic stuff) and other tactical shooters jump ship to this game.

There's also a dead Ghost. If you are facing the place where Iron Banner opens up and you are staring at the special items/mail vendor. Jump up and to the left, there's a balcony there with the dead Ghost and a switch for the fans.

My initial response was how dumb an idea this sounded, since Supers are already ridiculously powerful and it would mess up the flow and put Hunters at a disadvantage. Then I thought about it some more, and Hunters could basically snipe you across the map with Golden Gun and whatever else, and it actually sounds kind of fun.
ah so they mean revive yourself and not other players.

Well it should stop is what I'm saying. I don't care about Evolve, or any other game that does or has done something similar, because I'm talking about Bungie and Destiny - that game specifically. I own Wii U, Xbox, PS, PC, etc, etc. I don't choose allegiances with platforms because of some sportsteam-like loyalist mentality. I go for the games, and the social experiences. Marketing gimmicks like this do no one any good. There are better ways to strike deals and make money that doesn't poo all over your fans that are willing to come along for the 10-year long ride.
I don't buy the defeatist attitude of assuming it won't change any time soon. Bungie people do read forums, they've always been heavily active in their communities and have been quick to respond and adapt to them, too. If enough people complain, maybe Bungie will think twice about making these kinds of deals with their publishing partners in the future? I also don't buy the idea that the only way a publisher will see reason is through boycotting the product entirely. They wouldn't do QA or surveys at all if that were the case. Activision already has a better system in place with CoD. Release DLC 1 month "early" on one platform, and then release it for the rest. Sure it sucks getting it a few weeks later, but at least you still get the same content for the same price, and not "85%" of it (no clue how much it really is at this point). A year wait is eternity in these kinds of games, imo.

I thought we were past this idiotic blanket response to numbers on a spreadsheet. The game seems hectic enough as is. This is small arenas, not Battlefield's vast open spaces. If you want that go play Planetside I guess. It's not comparable. It's almost like playing couples tennis and demanding that we get at least 2 more people per side.
yeah i beleive so, apparently as pointed out above there is "fireborn" that revives yourself. I thought you meant reviving other players, which yeah is already part of the game.
but that would be a bit reduntant and pointless, since anyone can already do that, at least in PVE. unless it is some automatic/proximity teammate revival. Still a bit redundant though.
My Hunter sense is tingling. I detect some blue level 10 items in your vault/inventory.

To the vast majority of my friends that play, most didn't care about any price, spec, or marketing differences. Just that Xbox is Xbox and PS is not Xbox. That was enough for them to make their decision on which to buy, a lot of people I know just wanted what they were familiar with. I've had a PS3 for 4 years and still have 0 friends on my friend list. In my social group, people buy Xbox. That has never really bothered me because the games I play on PS are single player. Now Destiny has this poo deal going on, and it's messing up EVERYTHING OK!?
Personally, I just get all of them eventually, because I enjoy games from each platform. In an ideal world, everything would just release on PC and be done with it, but that's not happening any time soon, either.
It's one thing to have guns and emblems or whatever, like retailer bonuses. But maps and other playable content? That's just too far, to me.

Well, that shouldn't break things. It could easily be remedied by either giving you a message to equip something else, OR equipping something else for you by default, sort of the way maps become disabled in CoD when somebody in the clan you're playing with hasn't purchased them.
