I haven't noticed any faster load times, but I haven't been timing it. Frame-pacing issue is gone, though.
Are you downloading using the in-game app? Mine is downloading fine and I didn't launch anything yet

I don't think I'll every consistently play a game like this without matchmaking in the co-op missions, why would I want to cumbersomely create a fireteam or have a good group of friends online whenever I want to start a session of missions? I can't get into it like I got unto Uncharted and Resistance co-op without that.

Anyone know how this bloody video recording works on the ps4? Tried it multiple times after something cool happens to not get a prompt to save the clip.

Just realized this is actually the first time Xbox owners are going to be playing Destiny since they didn't have the alpha. You're all in for a treat. I was like a 6/10 when it came to being interested in this before I got to play it myself, but after it's my most anticipated game of the year. It's a game you really need to play to understand. It captures the feeling I got from playing Halo 1 the first time.

I've noticed the same thing when trying to record in a match. Wait until the results screen to save the video clip and the prompt should pop up.

Okay, 12GB. I think all these "downloader" stories are a little misleading. I was downloading the "main" 12 gig chunk within seconds of booting up my XB1. Once it said "Ready to Play", (a minute or two, tops) I fired up the "game" itself. It's playing pretty music and showing pretty pictures as we speak. Just over 50% downloaded, at the moment. Apparently that's the downloader.
I guess it was already downloaded by the time I logged onto my XB1, and I almost instantly got into the main download. (After I chose "Install"?) So, hopefully in another hour or so, I'll be playing.

That's how it works. It downs the installer screen/artwork, then it installs/downloads the content.
Has anyone here played the 360 and PS3 versions? Only like 15 minutes into the 360 version but it seems like it looks appreciably better than the PS3 version. Certainly not comparible to current-gen versions, but I wasn't expecting it to look this much better than the PS3 version. Am I crazy?
There is no reason to compare the beta... we all know the XB1 version is 900p, but the retail version will be 1080p.

ah yeah, good point, forgot that this is the older build. but there could also be some other differences outside just resolution.
