How were the install time for people (xb1) mine has been "installing" for 30mins and it's on 10%. I was shocked when it said "ready to play" at 2%... Ready to show me a download screen they meant.
I suck, but that's not the problem in this case. I just die faster than the others.

Pull up your Inventory. From there hit (I believe LB) and that should show you your friends list as well as any other players in your area. On the left side, next to "Fireteam" there's an Icon with two people shapes. Click that and you should be able to set it as Public.
Did you stabilize your party?
Go to your menu, click left and above your gamer tag is options

Is anyone else on PS4 having terrible lag issues tonight? The pvp has literally been unplayable for me for the last hour. The hit detection has been nonexistent, with my guns doing no damage at all. I double checked to make sure it wasn't from my end, and it definitely wasn't.

I wanted to focus on multiplayer since i focused on single player before. Sad face.

No that's how it is on PS4. There is no setting for this on Xbox One. It opens up the part app in snap mode.
View button to call up ghost and X to call sparrow.

I kind of figured that. I was trying to get a party going for a while yes, but I hard rebooted and it's doing that when I just try to boot the game. I really need to go to bed anyway.

can't really see this touched on anywhere so far. what is the general consensus/thoughts on item drops. I currently believe they are not clear enough, especially after boss kills when you get a timer etc.
My suggestion would be that it gives you a beam up from the item or a big glow or something similar when you bring out your ghost, similar to the item highlight mechanics seen in diablo or similar.

Because? There is no Iron Banner event going on right now so it doesn't give you any advantage.

TBH, I don't think I've ever used game chat on the Xbox One. It's always been more of a convenience thing, especially when friends are on different games. But yeah, looks like we'll need to go to game chat for this.
You can do the quests at the beacons in explore mode, replay the story missions for loot, team up with friends or strangers for the strike, or just do more PvP. You're not missing anything, the game is just set up for you to be redoing missions repeatedly with friends for loot. What may seem like not much content for you can last other players a significant amount of time.

I did all the beacon quests - on both sides of the zone.
I guess I did everything I can at level 6.
Heck, I got level 10 gear I can't even wear.
