Eh, PVP has sucked tonight. I'm either on a team that sucks balls and it's frustrating, or a team that's too dominant and it's boring. No tight matches. No middle ground.
Also, that day off regressed my skills big time. I'm a poor to mediocre player to begin with so it's been rough.
I miss Mars and Earth too. =(
I've learned all that I need to know for Destiny PvP:Yeah, the only interesting and tight matches I had tonight happened when my fireteam was split up into opposite teams. Otherwise it was just boring 20000 vs <10000 pubstomps.
I was also getting some lag and that horrible audio bug. My fireteam was fun and made it all bearable though.
Except for AJ. You suck, AJ.
It also affects the dance style. important to someDoes race have any effect besides cosmetic?
After playing this beta on both platforms, I can honestly say that it's more enjoyable on the X1 for me. It runs smoother to me and I prefer the X1 controller much more for FPS overall.
PS4 version is still amazing all around and I would be just as happy owning the PS4 version.
Are you X1 players using bumpers or triggers for zoom/shoot?
Whenever I try to play I just get Unable to find match for fireteam. XB1 if that matters. Tips?
Is stuttering gone or am I just feeling the placebo effect?
It's gone.
So far, XB1 version seems to be a little blurrier on distant locations, but it's not a huge difference (due to the type of AA being used), and it's going to be 1080p at launch anyway.
I definitely like the PS4 controller better for the game than the XB1 controller. It just feels better for this kind of game, and I'm able to get headshots better on PS4, not to mention the touchpad being a superior button than the one used on XB1.
In terms of smoothness, they are the exact same.
Based on the screenshots I've seen of the 360 version, my initial guess for horizontal res is 1024; it certainly isn't 1280, at any rate. Haven't been able to take much of a stab at vertical.
To be fair, Sony got Bungie's input on how to design their controller, so you could say that the Dualshock 4 is how Bungie intended it to be played.your wrong

Do any other maps other then Venus pop up in PVP?
Been playing the beta since it opened on PS4 and its all I have ever seen.

Just sayin.
Destiny has an alternate scheme that uses L1/R1 for aim and fire, right?
If only every other PS4 shooter had that option.
Did they ever specify anything? I don't remember the GDC talk getting all that technical, and the SIGGRAPH talk just says that 1200x720 is the highest practical resolution that you can fit into 10MB at 96 bits per pixel, never specifying what they're actually going with on 360.They already spilled the beans on the 360s res in a GDC/siggraph talk. The height is 720, the width is a little skinnier.
I prefer the L2/R2 for shooting on the PS4. It's greatly improved to the awful triggers on the PS3.Destiny has an alternate scheme that uses L1/R1 for aim and fire, right?

Yep. That was in the alpha too.So I've been goofing in the beta and such, and I found an area behind the land ship area(where you do the radio towers?) and if you follow a path around a corner, it curves into an area called the GROTO. Anyway, I get there, insta killed by one of those ?? dreds. But I don't give up. I'm like "I want to see whats there!" So I get on my bike, dodge some bullets, curve around some hive ?? and find a hive ship and dive straight into to only get killed by a weird enemy called "The Shrieker" This is the kind of weird stuff I like to find!!! Anyone else see that thing? Its like a spinning alter or something...

This again? Obviously they didn't do enough, because the sticks are in the wrong position.![]()
