Finally got the Cydonia with additional damage on the last half of the magazine.

Soooo fucking good, my god.

I want!...I've got 2 of them...but neither has that attribute...one of them has recovering from near death gives extra ammo and faster reload which is cool...I forget what the other one has...

Somebody please help me. I redeemed the code for Xbox 1, started installing the app and left it alone for hours. The system is on standby. I came home and it doesn't look like anything is download or installing so I fore up the beta.

It is stuck on transferring game content at 13 percent. Should I delete it and start over?

Can't find a fire team, search for newt.
Also, it'd be nice to spin your character around during creation so you can even what you're doing.

Running around shooting dudes and helping randoms in Old Russia, while utterly ignoring my objectives - enormously good fun. Some excellent environment design with great sight lines. Toting around a sniper rifle and supporting randoms from high perches while they charged enemy lines was about as much fun as I've had gaming this year. I hope there's a lot more of that kind of explore/wander to come in the full game.

I still hate ADS with a passion. The game would be so much better without it. I think I can cope with it now, but it will never not bug me. (I think this is part of the reason I use the sniper rifle - dat scope.)

Ran into two public events, both of which felt anticlimactic (tank and captain targets). I really didn't like how the tank event had a timer and if we didn't take it out in time, it despawned. Felt really cheap to get that close and miss the kill in both of them. Both were far too grindy as well.I hope there is more variety than "kill the thing with lots of heath in 5 minutes" to the events in the full game.

I also had some issues with understanding what killed me at times; during the public events I got dropped a few times and had no idea why.

Oddly enough, despite having a blast tonight, I might stay out of the beta for the rest of the run (the 26th or whatever day is special aside, of course). I wanted to get a taste and see if it was something I wanted, but otherwise leave as much content to the full game. And more specifically, if I should pick up that white Destiny PS4 when the time comes. I'm leaning toward yupper.

Its probably going but slowly. Try a full reboot (hold down the power button for 10 sec)

The PS4 version is smoother now thanks to the update. Not sure why those who just now tried the Xbone beta are thinking it's smoother, it isn't it's just that the Xbox One beta already had the fixes since today it just started.

I only played PS4 up to Tuesday, so going in on X1 today I noticed it seemed smoother right away, that was the only reason I commented on it. But its been fixed now so its a null issue. I think most who are mentioning it are just doing so from what they played on PS4 up to when it was shut down. Not since it was fixed.

Have they talked about the eventual capabilities of the iOS app? I like seeing the tower map, and seeing all the wares, but I want to be able to buy items for my dude from it, and equip new stuff

I remember reading that the app will allow you to equip your guy with whats in your inventory. It probably wouldn't be that hard for them to allow us to buy from vendors in the tower.

Anyone have any idea what the "heating up" medal is for? Seems kind of random, sometimes I'l; get it after just a kill or to, sometimes after seemingly nothing at all. I haven't noticed a consistent pattern and it's not listed on Bnet.

Also after this game I got a "Lone Wolf" medal that's also not listed on Bnet. Probably has something to do with the fact that I got a bunch of kills but no assists?

I think I've climbed everything I can now.

Yo, how do you get up there? I want dance in that spot.

if you are talking about the "boss" found down the steps of that first little building on the left side where you start most of the story missions then I don't think you can beat him alone or at all in the demo. He has a ??? level which means he is out of your league at the low levels the demo caps you at.

Don't bother him and keep it moving.
Nah I mean the first story mission where you are trying to find that piece of your ship that let's you can travel to other worlds. Some big guy comes out the wall and there are endless respawning guys. I usually run out of ammo trying to kill the "boss".

Just did a Devil's Lair run where no ammo/loot dropped for the entire run. Anyone ever have this happen to them? It was incredibly annoying.

How can I prevent random people appearing in a story mission? I understand seeing people when in 'explore' mode, but story as well? Did I miss an option?

Completed two Crucible matches in a row!

Got dropped from the third, but so far, this is a remarkable improvement from before the maintenance!

Based Bungie

No they can always be there. Team up with them if your fire team isn't full. This is a social experience. No fun playing all alone.

The Story Missions still drop you into the shared world. Once you hit the story area, they'll phase out since you'll be in your own sort of instance.

Once you enter the inner levels of the story campaign, the game automatically cuts off other player presence altogether. You'll still see other players in the open spaces you have to travel from story point A to story point B, but the actual location itself will be you alone.

Can't prevent it...it's the way the game world was built...there is a constant war between the guardians...and the bad guys lol

Check you fireteam invitaion settings - you should see FRIENDS/EVERYONE/INVITE ONLY/CLOSED or something along those lines.

I saw a dude with green name ( meaning he was in my fireteam ) and was like - "How did you get here, man?"

Actually it's plenty fun alone, thanks. If I want to bump into people, why can't that be restricted to a specific mode?

I'd blame lag but in games that are otherwise smooth hit detection goes bonkers and I end up shooting a dude with no shield 5 times and he's still standing there. Then one of his teammates shows up and kills me and then I see that I got the kill

The art design and color choices are wonderful, and I really like the art design and music. It makes me wish it was a game with story more at its heart then a loot/ mission based shooter. Even though I like the actual shooting parts.

It could be restricted...but that's not the game Bungie created...as stated above...once you get into the missions you'll basically be on your own...but when you're out in the open areas others will be around...it def gives the appearance of a war on a more vast scale IMO

I really disliked the "fade to black to go from cinematic to gameplay" moments in the intro... damn crossgen. Looked fantastic otherwise.

They've insisted that there's a proper fleshed out story to the game that they're keeping a surprise until the full game is out. So don't worry!

I would love if there was a feature to add randoms to you party if you bump into them and happen to get along. Would definitely help with the lack of communication in the game

I've come across 4 different Public Events in the Beta:

Eliminate the Target: In my opinion the hardest since the target has a shield that recharges very quickly and a bunch of health. I just completed it for the first time about an hour ago and it took 4-5 people concentrating fire to do it.

Destroy the Devil Walker: If you're high level and have at least one other high level player with you, this one isn't too hard. If not, you'll end up just barely failing.

Destroy the Excavation Crew: There will be 3 sets of enemies you have to defeat. After you defeat one, another will be dropped in elsewhere on the map. This is probably the easiest. None of the enemies are that difficult.

Defend the Warsat: A satellite will crash to the Earth, and you have to defend it while your Ghost transfers the data from it. This one is pretty fun. You have to stay pretty close to the satellite to transfer the data and you'll face several waves of every more difficult foes. The last is usually a Servitor, which gives shield to any bad guys nearby, a Fallen Captain, and if you're in the Skywatch, a Hive Knight.

Yes, once in the alpha. The minions wouldn't respawn and killing them was the only way to get ammo.

Luckily I had a machine gun that kept on giving back 3 bullets on each reload, but the rest of the team was just using supers and grenades for about 1/3 of the fight.

It's pretty tricky. First you go up to where the activate fan switch is. Off in the corner are some stacked crates. Jump from those onto the big scaffolding that runs toward the back wall, and run up the wires, zigzag style, to the awning in the back. (The out of bounds timer's gonna start, but you gotta keep going) From there, jump into the tree, jump to the branch that runs towards that pylon and sprint jump from there. Bish bash bosh, you're done.

I have had that happen so many times in Crucible I've stopped counting. I just blamed my internet bugging out but I didn't know it was happening to others. Hopefully Bungie will fix it before the game comes out.

God dammit, I was this close to getting a perfection on Venus just now, when I stupidly killed myself doing the point B jump... Oh well, I'm satisfied enough going 22 and 2 (once I got the first death I started playing a little less safe and ended up dying again because of it).

(this was the game)

The devil walkers are really a perfect benchmark for your increasing abilities in the limited slice of this game. The first time you face one it'll shrug off your limited attacks like nothing. A couple hours later, geared up, leveled out, and wise to its weak points, you'll solo the thing, rushing hoards and all.

Right at the very start of our run an "Eliminate the Target" public event happened, so I was pretty dry on ammo almost the entire run. Was lucky to have ammo synthesis reserves in my inventory, but those have a cooldown.

Aw yiss that no internet connection detected error again on Xbox One. Thanks Microsoft or Bungie or whoever is responsible for this.

Sounds pretty Devil's Lair to me, I never get any ammo in the Strike...I thought it was normal to try and make me go crazy.
