You must have really horrible luck. I've done tons of runs and this is the first time I've gotten zero ammo/loot. Was curious if this was some sort of bug.

I think I ran into this one as well, but forgot about it. I didn't understand what was happening and stood under some column of light. I thought I was going to get beamed up.
I died instead.

just fight more conservatively and stay behind the cover where you come in and hit everyone with headshots especially the boss. The waves become less annoying, they will mostly pick and pop at you after the boss shows up. If you run low on ammo, run out there, grab some and hurry back to safety near the entrance.
I've beaten him bunch of times solo, you can do it!

If I run out of ammo and there isn't any available, I let myself die. Instant ammo refill.
hey so whats going on with the clan situation anyone know? and i also have a question. I remember reading that you can get Light or w.e on items to go past the lvl cap is this in beta? bc i keep getting lvl 9 and 10 items that are awesome and i cant use >_< but ya anyway, like i said i think the clan on bungie.net was disbanded right? so idk whats going on with that. Yeah. I've only beaten him solo. I agree, headshot on the "boss". Hitbox seems rather large so shouldn't be too hard. Keep trying!
yupp i acutally just did this. Im lvl 8 Hunter and have all green that are for the most part pretty good. I ran into the area that the strike is in (not acutally doing the strike lol) and i cleared out the whole area myself and kill thed Walker myself, which still took quite a bit of time. And i was suppperrr pissed bc it didnt drop any items at all. So i wasted that time for nothing lol :/

Has anyone gone through all the missions ONLY on hard with the man-cannon? I typically play titan but I'm rocking the warlock / man cannon combo and love the "style" of it all, but holy shit, I'm getting my ass handed to me. I can't even finish up the second mission because damage / ammo drop just doesn't seem to cut it... :/

Jeeeeeezus that area is no joke. I putzed around there for about 20 minutes racking up kills then all of a sudden the place was crawling with Fallen. Captains, Elders, and Elites swarming everywhere. I don't get too worked up normally but god dammit if I didn't break a sweat by the time that was all said and done. Good times.
They fixed the judder with the update.
I actually love the handcannon in PvE, it does really good damage but you need to keep getting headshots. I also had one that was getting faster reloads when I actually emptied all the shots which made it easier to bear.
PvP though...not really as successful.

Edit: There seems to be an invisible ceiling on the 360 version? I can't jump high enough to land on the scaffolding.

Also near Skywatch ( or the area where Hive and Fallen constantly fight in the explore section ) was there always a Lv. ?? Hallowed Knight on the edge near the rusted helicopters?
I walked into the area and two people were baiting it and trying to get into the little cave it was 'protecting'. We tried for a while and found it was immune to every single type of damage we could throw at it but eventually I got in and found a Dead Ghost. It gave me the Grimoire card The Traveler 3 but besides that the 'cave' was empty. Really weird, as the Knight could one-shot you with his sword.

Liking it so far, except it seems party/fireteam chat cuts out when you're outside of orbit on Xbox One? Anyone else have that problem?
The beta is silky smooth feeling even at 30 FPS, hope it stays that way when the game goes to 1080p. Admittedly, the turn speed while you're dashing seems purposely slowed down...for game play reasons? Coming off Titanfall, it feels it takes too long to turn while in a run, so safer to walk and gun instead of run and gun.
Also, no male facial hair options? Say it ain't so Bungie.
I hope they add beard and mustache options in the full game.

Shanks(the little red pucks) give out ammo during that strike, they'll keep spawning out of the Devil Walker
I noticed that too when I first started playing but cranking the sensitivity up to max helped

What are you even talking about and why did you even reply to my comment? Someone on that page asked, so how are you Xbox peeps liking it so far, and I gave my impressions of it so far. Of course I'm still early in and the beta isn't done. I didn't "ruin" anything. And I don't even know what you mean by do I have an MMORPG background?

1) What is there to spend crucible marks on, and where? Also, how do you get them?
2) How are crucible drops handled? Had a friend play 6 rounds in a row and not get one, while I got a bunch in the same 6 rounds. He did better most of the time
3) What's the most reliable way to get new weapons? PvE drops? PvP drops? Gunsmith?
4) Quickest way to get glimmer?

Thus we see the idiocy of BOTH parties (MS and Sony) in putting ancient HDD tech in these new consoles. Who in their right mind puts a 5400 RPM drive in a console in 2014 FFS! With all the high-rez textures the load times are obscene.
It's actually FASTER with load times (on most games) to use an external 7200 WD black drive via the USB than to have the game installed on the internal HDD.
I just wish the XB1 had the option to swap out the internal HDD like the PS4 does, since I'll be playing Destiny on my XB1.

I'm almost certain you needed Xbox Live Gold to play the Halo 3 and Halo: Reach beta back when they released as well. So it's not really new or surprising. I do think they gave a few days of the Reach beta to silver users though. You also needed the crackdown disc in the tray to play the Halo 3 beta.

4. again, lv8 strike mission. bonus Glimmer if you use Ether Seeds(consumable)
I tried that, it makes running and aiming fine, but then when you're walking and aiming it's TOOOOO sensitive ... ^_^;
I just wish your turn speed was the same as walk as it is in run.
I'm pretty sure the game isn't dropping frames, it's like they wanted you to not aim on the run.

I've only done it twice, and both times got PUG'd with only one other person... found dying wasn't always the best when both of us tried it.
I can see it being a fully viable way with 3 peeps though.
1) Legendary gear at the bottom of the staircase at The Tower. You get the marks by doing PvP
2) Random afaik
3) PvE. Specifically the strike mission on level 8. I usually get 2 green encryptions every match plus the 2 guaranteed green items at the end of it.

I may be wrong, but I was under the impression that using USB 3.0 and an external drive with Xbox One is a faster transfer rate than the SATA III the Xbox One and PS4 are using for their internal drives.
So sticking with the external drive you mentioned would probably be better than replacing the internal drive (assuming Microsoft allowed it I mean).
