1) Crucible marks are for pvp matches(competitive mp). You spend them below near the trainers. But I believe there is 4 spots to buy items from right now.
2) Very random, literally just random
3) Strikes and Raids will be the best way to obtain the best gear for PvE. PvP drops would be obviously drop in competitive matches. Gunsmith do sell some nice stuff sometimes, gotta keep watch on that.
4) Farm spots, loot chest, killing rares, strikes, raids etcc

I just wish your turn speed was the same as walk as it is in run.

I'm pretty sure the game isn't dropping frames, it's like they wanted you to not aim on the run.

im going to assume it's a design decision to try and navigate away from gameplay that's too twitchy. anyone know if Halo was like this?
 
I've run out of ammo plenty of times and I just wait 10-15 seconds and I get refilled partly automatically. It's random how much you get and what type but you do get refilled if you give it time. Done it many times shooting at the devil walker from my almost damage free safe spot
 
I am struggling to see a difference in IQ between PS4 and Xbone versions. Even at 900p it looks amazing on the Xbox. There difference is there but you really have to look for it.

(This is on my Samsung 55inch LED sitting 3m away)
 
Welp, I'm still waiting for party stabilization. Guess I'm playing Mario Kart tonight instead.
 
Was grinding for the kill 10 Hive Ultras on the level 5 story mission, killing it then killing myself to respawn me at the last part of the fight, had to kill that fucker 7 times!

I used it pretty much exclusively until today. You've got go for headshots otherwise you're wasting ammo. After using the Jigoku scout rifle for a while, it does only marginally less damage than my best hc, has better rate of fire, range and magazine size. Hand cannnon is basically a novelty right now. Hope it gets adjusted before release.

Did they up the level cap from 8? Is there any list of changes that had occured during the maintenance?

Need a little bit of gear to stand a chance or get 2 buddies to help ya out
I tried a Hard story mission alone was 3 levels below and it took for fucking ever to kill the last boss

Maybe 1 level before Hard version becomes normal you stand a better chance

I mean Devil's Lair for me now is considered Normal as level 6 and 8, cause I'm 8, but when I was 7, it was still considered "Hard"

Neat, I was wondering what the Hive-variant of Ether Seeds were. Pretty sure that's what it is; when you use it, for a limited time you'll get glimmer for waxing Hive baddies. Ether Seeds do the same but for 10 minutes and against Fallen. Both are great to use in Skywatch during Exploration as that place is just a re-spawn factory of bad guys.
 
Probably a stupid question but will this game have space combat? It seems to put so, emphasis on buying and upgrading your ship.

PVP space combat in this game would be amazing.

Nah level 8 is still cap

Had to dismantle so many blues that were level 9-10
Even the damn vendors tease you with level 20 shit, I just wanna try the stuff on =/

I could buy a purple Warlock band for 4500 Glimmer but it's fucking level 20 for that Noble faction

Pretty sure it's just the MMO-y part of this game where post-level cap is all about customization. Whenever you're traveling to an area your ship is shown so it's a bit of e-peen wagging for that 30s-1m while in transit.

Please quit telling people how to feel/what to do. I prefer playing the story sequences alone. I'll go to Explore, Strike, The Tower, and The Crucible when I want a "social experience". It would be nice not to have people running around and dancing in front of me when I'm trying to get into the mood of the story.
 
damn! I prepared my morning coffee to sit and try xbone and compare it to ps4,
but after the character creation and the intro movie xbone version ALWAYS gives me an error:

"unable to find match for your fireteam, try again"

but this error is wrong, as I havent even been to traveler, let alone old russia or pvp.

basically what happens is that upon the initial screen where you select your titan, you can see in the center background of the screen the animated circle never stop turning, which means that it fails to make a connection at that specific point.
I compared to ps4* and the animated circle stays for about 10 secs, then game is connected.

anyone has had the same problem and made it work guys? hard resseting everything does not work for me.

any ideas for my xbone problem guys?


*I did notice that ps4 beta is smoother now, but I guess guys living in different time zones know that already :)

I'm the opposite. Have no interest in free roaming and shooting bots. PVP is where it's at! The beauty of this game is that there's something for everyone.
 
I can't get into the PvP, it just hasn't been able to keep me interested. The PvE is good, but I'm already getting tired of it. I don't think Destiny is for me.

I had the marionberry thing on ps4 before. suposedly this error has to do with your lan/wifi, but on my case everything was fine on my end.
it did fix itself an hour or two later.

but the error I have on xbone.. cant proceed at all...

Restarting my xbone fixed it.
