Being able to grapnel straight into a glide is an improvement over not being able to, and considering the overworlds of both games are of relatively comparable size (AC isn't GTA: San Andreas to AA's GTAIII), about as much time is spent getting from one end to the other in both games — it probably takes less time to get from one location to another in AC because of all the closed off areas and linear paths.

Considering that the most tangible aspect of a game is how it plays, it's weird to see people downplay the quality of gameplay when it comes to objectively assessing the overall quality of a game. Not saying Creamium was trying to objectively prove AA is better than AC, but even still. I'm curious as to what he values in these games because looking both at the components of each game and how those components come together as wholes, I find AA to be inferior to AC overall, even from story and pacing perspectives.

I think the pacing and story are what threw me off most in AC, and the overworld. But it's not like I disliked it. It was less "this is shit" and more "I wish they'd taken this a different direction"

Same here. Best two Need for Speed games in my book.

I honestly thought Hot Pursuit was a tad bit overrated. Don't get me wrong, I loved playing a badass cop in a supercar chasing down criminals and shooting EMP missiles at their cars, but I really miss the rice burner tuning and car customization in Most Wanted and UG2.

NFS Undercover came sorta close to those two, but not close enough to be good, unfortunately.

Damn I hope I was not throttled. Really wanted that Deus Ex GOTY. Never actually played it. People always say it's a real classic and a must play.

Dishonored has been really addicting so far. It reminds me so much of what I love about the Deus Ex games in that there have been multiple paths to take each situation. Can't believe I didn't play Dishonored much sooner.

There's a JaseC guide that's better but I don't have it bookmarked.

Edit- wait never mind. Misunderstood, for some reason I thought you meant that cards wouldn't drop while idling and I don't know why I thought that, sorry. Posting when tired does that :p

I have never played a civ game online. Do you just play by email essentially like a person takes a term and it let's you know when they are done?
