PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | July 2014

I don't know if old but CounterSpy will release on 8/19 and Akiba's Trip: Undead & Undressed 8/12

Brah we got threads for both stating their release date. CounterSpy is part of a Sony offer where you can get $3 PSN credit for buying it.

Yes, because at the start of the video Colin says that Sony came to IGN with a Vita devkit with those 6 games.

But what about next months? Sony will always give them the material?

I guess i missed them lol, i'm not really following those games after all.

There's a pause after the choices, but it's miniscule in comparison to the first season and is likely a product of loading the scene and not frame dropping as there's nothing there to play until you make a choice and it loads it.

That's how games with choices generally go down, even on PC.

I find it truly amazing how studio with so much critical aclaim can't afford to hire proper programists.

It almost feels like they don't give a fuck because they work on popular licenses which will sell their games anyway.

Blackgate isn't so bad for $4.20 (it's actually pretty decent). I wish they had made it full 3D or 2D with 3D backgrounds. The hybrid design is not a good choice IMO

Due to the Superhero sales, I've just bought myself infamous 2+fob, injustice, marvel vs Capcom origin, and Lego marvel. Good.

In my experience it's definitely all the non-Vita chat that gets lost here.

Said you want to talk MORE about Vita right : )

Playing Muramasa rebirth last night.. again... defeated Raijin, felt a little dirty doing it. damn this is a fun game and apparently I have a lot more of it to go still.

So here is a question; I used to not enjoy these 2D quasi platformer games back in the day (NES, SNES, PS1) and now I really am enjoying both this one and even Strider(PS4).. what the fek. Have they gotten better, changed, or I am simply into different tastes now?

About Joe Danger 1&2 on Vita

Just waiting on final checks, but hopefully we'll have news for you soon (We're as anxious as you are!)

My Vita's going to get so much love from the end of the month until the end of August.
Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment, CounterSpy, Rogue Legacy, Hohum, and Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds, not to mention Jet Car Stunts and Table Top Racing for my racing fix.

I'm gonna go with a littlebit of all.

You better put this around the end of your backlog, This game has tons of content that it feels like an offline MMORPG for me. I f you're a fan of JRPGs it would suck so much time from you. I'm busy with school and probably contributed to me still getting only one trophy from it LOL.

I got the PSABR from the previous sale and I'm not feeling it. poopninja's and other's impressions of Injustice is killing my interest for it. It does not help that I am really enjoying playing UMvC3 and SFxT on the Vita so I'll probably pass on that. While BOTH PSN and Steam threads basically almost condemns the Batman game.
So I'll only get the Lego Game , haven't played ANY lego game so this might be the cheapest entry to the series.

out of what's on sale right now, Gungnir is the best of the bunch imo:

Thanks for the reccomendation and video. Seeing as I've never played an SRPG before, I think I might just hold off the purchases and maybe grab wotl when it next comes on sale so I can get a feel for SRPGs first. (Classic game room did say they weren't very beginner friendly rpgs.) I'm sure Atlus games will go on sale again anyway.

Maybe been asked before: what happened to the PSP mini Tokyo Jungle? It doesn't show up when I search for it on my vita. Did it get delisted?

Yeah, the number of games we're getting between now and the end of August is kind of insane. By my count, it's something like:

July 29: Rogue Legacy, Phantom Breaker, Treasures of Montezuma Arena, Lego Ninjago Nindroids, Ratchet & Clank Collection
August 5: The Swapper, Table Top Racing, Metrico (plus Road Not Taken comes out on PS4, and that'll be a Vita game soon)
August 12: Akiba’s Trip, Disgaea 4, Hohokum
August 19: Counterspy, Sword Art Online
August 26: Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1

Plus we're also supposed to be getting Minecraft, Jet Car Stunts and Gravity Crash Ultra, and I think I read that Crimsonland will be coming to the Vita in August as well. That's more than 15 games in a one month period!

Same here. It looks like there is something awesome out on the Vita each week in August, and that's not counting the massive backlog I have either. I can't wait to get my hands on my import copy of Sword Art Online, The Swapper, Rogue Legacy and so many more...

For information, PS3/Vita versions of Entwined are up on EU stores. Free of course if you already bought PS4 version.

Man i want almost all of them :(

Next thing I will be buying for Vita is Danganronpa 2. Don't care at all about anime tities, ports and indie games I already have on PC :/

Man, August is going to be a great month for me with Sony platforms. Metrico on the 5th, then the next week is CounterSpy, and the week after that there's Hohokum.

Glad to hear it's stack full of content. I'm a fan of JRPG's so if the gameplay hits the right notes for me I'll be hooked and playing it for hours on end.

Oh lord, I completely forgot about Disgaea 4, Minecraft and Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1 (although I have the Re;Birth pre-ordered and paid off so even if I forget about it i'm good) and Crimsonland Vita i'll probably grab for co-op with one of my friends. That's even more to add to it, so much Vita software.
Too many freaking games!
Vita has no too many games!
Looks good
Lookin' fine indeed. Can't wait until that petition hits 50k and Bandai Namco start to discuss the possibility of localizing it.

Thats an insane list, want them all except neptunia and disgaea

I'll hold back and get only some of those - gotta save money for some ps4 games.
But then, almost everything not bought will go into my ever growing list of "missed games that I shall buy in the future". Vita means commitment.

has there been any news on a localization? it looks so beautiful
Nothing so far. They said if a petition for the game gets to 50k they'll start discussion about the possibility of localizing it and it's currently at 45k so things might start happening when it hits that mark. (though we probably wont know if it's getting localized for awhile)

That petition has to be a red herring right? Surely that's just a way to build interest? That game looks too awesome to NOT come over here?

Have you checked Dragons Crown? Its 2D but loot based ARPG, very good game.

Will check, I was waiting for it to get a better sale price.

Is everyone buying Growlanser?

Yup, already got it.

I haven't played it, and i'm pretty sure it's not like diablo....but if you're looking for an "action rpg" you could try Ys Celceta?

Hehe, already bought Celceta the time it went into sale price for PS+. Thanks for the tip though.

Hey guys+girls, two questions:

1. I wanted to buy an OLED ps vita on amazon.co.jp, but I have no idea what the difference between the PCH-1100AB01 and the PCH-1100AA01 model is. Is someone able to enlighten me?

2.Playing Ys: Felghana right now and I'm at the last boss. I'm pretty underleveld and there is no chance I will beat him. How can I get back to the normal level? I fear that if I press "back to title screen" and load up my last save point I would have to do the boss fight before Galbalan again.
Is there another way?

I'd like to think so with them bringing over Dragon Ball Z Battle of Z, Sword Art Online and One Piece Unlimited World Red, supporting the Vita with Anime games now in the West but the last Digimon game that came over to the West (excluding the MMO) was 2008 so they probably want to gauge if there's still a big enough audience for bringing it over in the West.

The fact that there was a number given and they acknowledged it is a good sign though. I like how Bandai Namco are a bit more considerate than other companys of fan petitions with big enough numbers ever since Dark Souls.

PCH-1100 AA01 is the initial batch (first 500K units) of Vita 3G/Wi-Fi Limited Edition that comes bundled with NTT Docomo's Prepaid Data Plan 100h (worth about 5,000yen).
PCH-1100 AB01 is the Vita 3G/Wi-Fi Limited Edition that comes bundled with NTT Docomo's Prepaid Data Plan 20h (worth about 1,000yen).
Otherwise, they're both the same.
