Halo: The Master Chief Collection for PC listed on Amazon UK

personally, i'm not interested in this series but it would be cool of them to do. i hope quantum break gets a PC port ala alan wake.
 
I'd love MCC, heck I'd love even just Halo 3 on steam/PC.

I think I really would double dip, though if seperately was a choice, just Halo 3 on PC would be fine. Custom games would be immense, espicially on PC.

I will not buy an XBox One. Ever. If this is released on PC, I will buy the shit out of it. My balls are in your court.
 
Well, everyone is free to believe on whatever they want. But besides it is possible to happen, it wont be soon. Yeah, MS wants to sell software but its also of their interest to sell Xbox One, and keeping Halo MCC exclusive at least for a year not only will sell a considerable ammount of console but will also not hurt their image with Xbox owners / fans (since if they do the opposite people wont trust on any Xbox exclusivity anymore).
 
Sounds like something MS would do -- taking a huge exclusive away from its console. If the PC crowd wants to play, they can buy an Xbox One.

I wanted to play the Halo series for a long time but One game series is not worth buying a console over
 
Would buy for halo 2 and 3 and 60fps halo 1. I don't expect release date parity with the xbone version, if it happens at all, which I still doubt.
 
I'm considering buying an Xbone for this. It's not at the top of my priority list, and I'll be buying a ps4 first, but it's something I'm thinking about. MS know it will have this effect on people, Halo is a monster.

A release on PC and I'd never need another FPS again.

It does play very well on PC. CE was amazing back in 2003. Been waiting for more ever since (didn't have Vista for H2).

The SP is still great. MP is pretty dead though. Aimbot is rife and there are hardly any non modded servers. :(

you remember that time people threw their original xboxes out of their windows when halo 1 came out for PC with online play?

or when they picked up the remains of those xboxes, put halo 2 into the rattling xbox tray, excited to use their xboxes once more, only to pick it up again and throw them out of the window when halo 2 came out on PC?

shoot, it felt like just last week i saw someone throw an Xbone out of a nearby window when they noticed that Halo: Spartan Assault was made available on the PC.

Honestly, who the hell is going to pick up all of these broken xboxes that have littered america's streets?

Well, all the games are on 360 (and Halo 2 is BC) if you feel like you need to play them, and 360s are pretty cheap these days.
 
This would be a huge blow to Xbox One sales. I can't imagine them doing this, but then again I never thought they would unbundle the Kinect so what the hell do I know! :)

They have a long history of letting their exclusives come to PC. Halo 1/2, original Fable series, The new Fable HD, Dead Rising 1/2//3/, Alan Wake, Stubbs the zombie, whatever else is slipping my mind.

This wouldn't shock me at all, but if it happens it probably won't be for a while after the xbone version launches.

I actually would not doubt they will release it on PC exactly because of this, but as I said, not soon. I would give at least one year after Xone version release.

Also Alan Wake and Dead Rising is not their IP. Besides I do agree that was "meant to be" Xbox exclusive.
 
Oh man, my Hype level explodes but the sad truth is that this is without a doubt just another mistake. Can I sue Amazon UK for hurting my feelings?

But Microsoft really should considers doing this, at least if they want any of money ... and my money is the best money, so MS, you know what to do :D
 
Just like others have already said, it would be really stupid on Microsoft's part to put this out on PC. They need to sell xboxones badly. I would actually pick it up though cause i loved halo 1 on a pc.

Oh, that is a good point.

I see an exclusive Xbone release, followed by a late port to PC to begin shoring up Halo 5 hype, thus beginning investments towards people buying Xbone.
 
If they intend to release on PC then they lied at E3.

No way they're gonna do that. I know a few people waiting for this before they buy the Xbox One, but they're also big PC gamers. It's not a big guess of which platform they'd buy the collection on.

Anecdotal sure, but I'm quite certain MS is gonna lose quite a few console sales that they otherwise could have gotten if this weren't true.

You remember that time when MS released Halo 3, ODST, Reach, Halo Wars, Halo 4, Halo CE Anniversary on PC? Yeah, me neither.
 
I think leveraging the broader MS ecosystem and having some kind of cross-functionality (even just stats) would be more valuable than trying to strong arm people into buying a proprietary box to play a collection of rereleases but, hey, what do I know.
 
Wouldn't be getting my hopes up yet, but there's the possibility we see this on the PC later, shortly before the Halo 5 release. By having Halo 5 be X1 exclusive and releasing the MC collection on the PC, they could potentially persuade a portion of the PC gamers to buy an X1, to continue the story.

Nah, PC gamers would just whine for a Halo 5 PC version.
 
I would buy this day 1 for PC if it was true. I always enjoyed a playthrough of the campaigns of these games, but not enough to buy an X1 for it.

Forgive me for not following the MCC, but does it include ODST too? That was my favorite Halo that I played but it didn't have Master Chief in it that I can remember.

Even assuming the listing isn't in error, no date is mentioned. An Amazon page isn't necessarily indicative of a near-future release.
