I want this to be exclusive to Xbone. Doesn't matter if CE and 2 are on Pc already. This is their big game this year.
What's next? Sunset Overdrive, Quantum Break, or FH2 on PC?
Nah, it was SF. It's still listed, but now the publisher is Nintendo.

Exactly. Every platform has its games... why should this collection go to the PC? Not that I don't want people to play but if you really want Halo just buy an Xbox. Don't want an Xbox? Then you don't play Halo. It's like wanting to play Uncharted but not buying a PS4 for it.
Still if it comes to the PC, good for PC players.

I dunno, Halo: Spartan Assault came out not too long after it released elsewhere and Fable Anniversary is coming soon, too, within a year of its release
I think it's perfectly plausible that we'll see it in late 2015, maybe even earlier if they want to use it to push halo 5.

It's a series that a lot of people like, and if Microsoft lets it hit on another platform that they should be supporting more, then good. I'd like the option for keyboard/mouse play, especially since some Halo games did already hit PC.
It's the platform holders job to worry about exclusives, because to them it's just a tool to sell boxes. For consumers, any cool game you play, why wouldn't you want the MOST people to love and support it?

MS also needs a reason to stop or delay PC gamers from buying a PS4 for console exclusives instead. Because once that happens they're far less likely to buy the XB1.

With Remedy's history Quantum Break is likely. They made hack porting costs in two days! I hope this hits PC soonish the more og Halo the better.

That's why it makes no sense in that regard. Stops no one from buying a PS4, if anything still gives them more reasons to buy one.
If a PC version of MCC is released, it will be way down the line from the XB1 version. That's how you maximize sales for both versions AND you get all the people buying Xbox Ones.

Indeed, people should be happy that as many people get to play great game(s) as possible. I'm always sad when I hear about exclusives like Bloodborne, I would like it to be on as many relevant platforms as possible for instance.
And there's a 99.99% chance of it remaining as their big game this year, because this listing is almost certainly an error.
I was speaking more to the possibility of an eventual port, something Bungie hasn't outright denied.

Halo 1 and 2 were both on PC. I don't see how a wider audience being able to play a game is a bad thing unless you actually give a fuck about how many Xbox Ones are sold.
this is their biggest exclusive. its why people buy the console. what do you think will happen once all those exclusives are on pc ? people will get the stronger ps4 which has actual exclusive games.
putting this on pc will split the fanbase, result in fewer xbox sales and, if announced before xbox release, lead to many many cancelled xbox pre orders
it just doesnt make any sense to scare off potential xbox buyers just to make some quick cash on pc
Actually yes you make more sense. I am buying a ps4 because really the only thing i cant get right now on my pc that i really want to play is Killer Instinct. Dead Rising 3 is there plus it will run better.

But theres a point for exclusivities. Exclusive games are healthy for consoles, they bring player interst, rises the player base, so more developers are interested on investing into it. I am all in favour of exclusives, doesnt matter the platform!
Now, PC already have tons of games, a Halo Remaster port wont do much to it, as it would for Xbox.
A remake of old games is their biggest exclusive? Nobody is saying Halo 5 is going to be on PC are they? But getting new fans of the franchise on PC might get them to buy XBO for Halo 5. I bought a PS2 to play Vice City after experiencing GTA3 PC.
The only database information is from a couple of dead apps a few years ago.
At one point Microsoft planned on porting 1-3, but dropped development.

I just want it to happen already, or at least for MS or 343 to say "we don't comment on rumors or speculation" so that I can at least have a ray of hope for the future.

I really hope this is because they're porting this instead. If they have zero plans to port either the originals or the this collection they can fuck right off.

I would definitely get the PC version. There was an announcement that more Microsoft games would be coming to PC, hopefully this is the start. The rumor came from Microsoft.

So PC gamers won't buy an Xbox One for The MCC, but will buy an Xbox One for Halo 5 because they played The MCC? Wouldn't they just wait it out, hoping MS would port Halo 5 to PC since they ported The MCC?

There's a rumor going around that they are going to start throwing their stock of X1s into the ocean, and their E3 conferences would now feature exclusives that will also release on PC. This is obviously to bolster their strategy of leaving the console business as quickly as possible to focus on software that will be sold at half price on Steam.
i can def see ms not porting the new halo to boost sales of xbox one, but lets get real. this is old halo we are talking about, it will not affect xbox one sales if its released a few months after on PC. Amazon has been pretty decent on the leaks, they leaked mk9 for pc and gta 5 and some other stuff, i would be completely mind blown if this DIDNT come to PC considering all the steam registry daabase stuff.

But I doubt it. Its easily the biggest game they have till Halo 5 comes around. Put it on PC and thats a lot of people who are buying X1 for this that suddenly arent. Myself included.

I have absolutely zero plans to purchase a PS4 or XB1. That said, I'd definitely pick up a copy of Halo on PC. That's money that MS could be leaving on the table if they choose not to port.
Sunset Overdrive is pretty much a given. They don't own the IP.

They'll gladly leave your money on the table and take the money from a console sale, a game sale and a XBL subscription.
