Ryse Son of Rome coming to PC this fall [no port begging other games]

To play exclusive games? I'm not sure why that's hard to understand. I was planning to buy Xbone when it bundles Sunset Overdrive now seeing 3rd party exclusives coming to PC I think I won't buy Xbone anytime soon.

Then you still have that reason for XB1 same as any other system. Unless you are saying all XB1 exclusives are coming to PC and not just the 2 third party exclusives that have been announced and will release a year later.

MS is in a damned if they do, damned if they don't situation here apparently. By all means have fun with your PC/PS4 combo and don't worry about it if you don't care about the XB1 exclusives not coming to PC.

The irony is that even for IPs they own, they are making some concessions for it to be on PC too. (State of Decay)
You would think that by having two products (PC and Xbox) they would have more first party studios and IP's... funny.

The good thing about this is: now we might have a Ryse 2.

I already thought about that possibility, but was not expecting that to happen. Thats a big problem of Xbox, you cant trust so much about its exclusivities.

Its not that surprisong though, these days you cant trust any 3rd party exclusive.

Halo MCC isn't coming to PC. At least not this year. MS is going to sell a ton of ones with that game, even more than Titanfall did.

It just wouldn't make any sense at all, having Every Halo MP ever on PC.

Was thinking with all of Crytek's financial woes that this would probably happen. Have wanted to play it, but didn't want to spend the cash for an X1 to do so.

What the fuck ? I thought this was MS Xbone exclusive.

I am not really interested in this game, but damn if it isn't surprising.

Fuck yes. Was gonna rebuy it for the one but now I'm getting the PC version. I am actually surprised.

No I don't. I already have PS4 and WiiU and I was interested in purchasing Xbone because of their 3rd party exclusives. I never care about 1st party or 2nd party. But now I see Xbone 3rd party games are coming to PC I really have no interest to buy Xbone anymore. I will wait.

You stated an opinion as a fact and didn't even bother giving an explanation and then linking it with something unrelated. After that you ended the post with another unexplained statement that has a false premise.

No question what the best looking game will be now

How do you figure 3 old games are going to sell a ton Xbones?

Sorry.

I'm just pretty confident that they wouldn't put the biggest console exclusive so far on PC which would cause a ton less boxes to move. And I just can't see 343 focusing on PC, which they've never put a game on, when they already have a lot on their plate. Sure it could come out down the road but I don't think this year or before Halo 5.

Cool news, more choice is always good. I'll check it out on a future sale. Always thought the graphics looked very pretty even if the gameplay looked kinda meh.

Which studio is doing the port (how many do they even have left)?

I'm excited for the graphics, of course, but I want features that were not present in the Xbox version, and can simply be turned on now.

I hope you are flexing your CE skillz if there is no free camera available?
I know it's probably time consuming and not easy... I'm not trying to put pressure on you :P

I plan on at least trying... but 3rd person cameras are tricky. There's a 50\50 chance I'll succeed\fail miserably.

Or we can just twitter bomb the hell out of those guys and ask them nicely for a free camera of some sort :)

Indeed

I can't imagine these once-exclusive Xbox One games coming to the PC is actually good for future Xbox One sales. It doesn't exactly spur you to buy a system does it.

Many people buying consoles disregard PC in the first place. I mean, that alone is a big reason why multiplats sell well on consoles.

No Man's Sky coming to PC doesn't change the fact that it being a console (timed?) exclusive on the PS4 will make that console more attractive to some people than the Xbox One and Wii U.

"4K gaming is another leap in graphics quality for PC gamers and Ryse is the perfect showcase for what's now possible in high-end PC games," Crytek business development chief Carl Jones said.
Looks like Crytek gave up trying to protect Xbone's resolution perception.

You don't understand the draw of Halo then.
It's some of the best games ever, including the best console MP ever by all accounts, playable again.
You could've said the same for other remastered games that didn't sell anything close to the originals and didn't noticeably move hardware. Final Fantasy X/X-2, Wind Waker HD, etc.

There's a trend here that shouldn't be ignored.

They dont have really do the port. Its basically a switch for CryEngine to built it for PC.
Sure it will need some tweaking with menus and controls, but tech site is pretty much instant.

Or SDK intergration like in Crysis 2. It would be good good business for them too, because You need to pay for CryEngine SDK on steam :)

Oh, so its getting retail release. Glorious, it means that it will be cheap in Poland :)

I don't understand why people make fun or complain about these "lost exclusives", I think that it,s an amazing business model and a win-win situation for everyone, consumers and Microsoft itself. Sony should do the same.

I hate saying it so much but Mario All Stars did help sell Super Nitnendo systems. The game did end up getting "gold boxed".

Overall, it should help sales considering it's coming out in November -- especially if MS gives it its own bundle.
