I liked him in so many movies last i remember is him as Teddy Roosevelt in the Night at the museum.

Also The Crazy One's really wasn't a bad show especially when Brad Garrett joined the cast.

Holy crap, I had no idea about any of his problems! Now I feel awful :(

Rest in peace, Robin Williams you will be missed and remembered always. You made so many people happy, I wish you could've been happy too. :'(

My father just came in and told me a few minutes ago and I had no idea how to react. Holy shit... He was like, an amazing man. He's made the world laugh so much, it's so unbelievably sad to know he's dead.

RIP Robin.

Dang, brutal... I knew he has some sort of relapse but the latest I heard was he was doing alright. He's got multiple films in post-production and the new Night at the Museum I just saw a trailer for in the theater.

The Genie and his manic standup are what I always thought of. made me laugh when I needed one plenty of times.

We lost the greats this year. Bob Hoskins, Harold Ramis, Ultimate Warrior, and now this.

I really wish I could go into cryo deep sleep and wake up in 2015, this is terrible.

You van tell this death is hitting me hard, as I am getting beyond mad at "Celebrity Journalists" talking about the man on TV. They all seems like they read a fucking Wikipedia page before going on air. Fuck them.

Didn't even watch or hear much of his work, but he was just one of those guys you couldn't help but love. His charisma, his acting, and his humor all brought joy.

Depression. What a way to go. Way too many open questions. Condolences to his family.

Sucks and I feel terrible for for his family and friends. He always seemed like one of those guys that hid a lot of pain, especially with the drinking problem. The moment I saw the thread it's what I thought in my head.

Sending out good thoughts to any family that's lost someone recently.

Damn guess even people with money and fame can't escape depression, his must have been extremely bad to finally end him, i should know. He will be missed, RIP.

Fame usually crushes people's state of mind in different ways. Many can not deal with the price of fame and how it affects their mentality. People around you start acting greedy and everyone wants something from you, you can't be out in public anymore without being mobbed. It really does change people. Michael Jackson's depression and insecurity came from immense fame, while before Thriller he was able to deal with it.

No amount of money or personal success can help depression and insecurity issues.

Lets all remember, that as sad as this is, Robin is in a better place now and is no longer battling his demons. Rest In Peace buddy.

Time for a Robin Williams movie marathon. He did so many movies I've probably missed a bunch. My favorite is probably ms. doubtfire.

You will always be in my thoughts mr. williams, thanks for all the laughs over the years. RIP.

This truly is tragic. The man was one of the great actors of our time, and was a genius with his comedic skills. I knew he had battled depression in the past, but I didn't know it had been picking back up. The fact he committed suicide makes this hurt far worse; if it was a disease, it would have been natural, and likely not-preventable. If he had the right help, we wouldn't be in this topic, and he could be spending time with his family.

Rest in Peace, Robin Williams. You will live on through your movies and your stand up comedy. We just wish you were around to see it grow with new generations.

I assume everyone here grew up on his films, no? It just feels like a double whammy: a super talented entertainer who I also grew up watching passed away.

A headline I was hoping not to run across for many years.

Rest in peace, Robin Williams.

I already know my sister is going to take this news really hard. She was a huge fan of his. We watched quite a few of his classics together in years past.

I'm going to miss you, you marvelous bastard. You gave me laughs, in my youth, while life gave me pain. For that I will be forever grateful.

They just showed a few clips from his movies on TV. Fuck, this is so sad, and I rarely, if ever, feel this bad when a famous person dies.

RIP :(

F&(#.
This is one of those bits of news I didn't want to hear after a long day at work.

Williams was a great actor, whom I first heard his voice as Genie.
Sucks that we lost another one so soon; even more if the way he went out like this is confirmed. But he will be missed.

I think this is the first time I'm emotionally moved by a celebrity death. Many celebs have passed that have made me sad, but it's weird to think about someone who was so intrenched in the movies I watched as a child has passed. Mrs. Doubtfire was my favorite movie as a little kid. I remember it being such an emotional movie for me, as I had divorce parents and all you want at the age is for your parents to get together. He was in probably one of my first favorite movies, Jumanji. And then of course, Hook, which was awesome on it's own. Woah. Sad crazy stuff. RIP.

Man knew he battled depression. He used to be a big gamer. He played Everquest back in the day pretty heavily. Heart goes out to his family :(

Never knew he was going through that level of depression.

Crazy how you think these actors are happy people, when in fact they're just wearing masks to cover up their pain. :(

It's bizarre how death threads seem to get the most posts on NeoGAF. I guess loss brings us all together, no matter who we associate with.

My condolences to Zelda Williams and all the other family members he left behind.

When I was a kid, Robin Williams was a name synonymous with anything fun or funny. If you saw his name on a film poster, you knew it'd be a blast. An amazing physical comedian and voice actor. RIP :(

Mrs Doubtfire
Aladdin
Jumanji
Hook
Hamlet
Good Will Hunting

Would be my favourites.
