Hulk's got multiple legacies really, but his main one is being one of the world's biggest icons whose name everyone knew. He will be remembered for a very long time.

This is crazy timing. I was watching Summerslam 91 on WWE Vault youtube two days ago and was saying to my wife how many personalities in that event alone (Bulldog, Andre, Kerry von Erich, Macho Man, Rick Rude, Perfect, Bossman, Warrior,LOD, Piper, SID, Bobby Heenan, Sherri, Elisabeth off the top of my head) had passed, some of them barely in their 40s, and noted that Hulk was still going. He's one of the few wrestlers she knows because well....it's Hulk Hogan.

RIP

I was never a huge wrestling fan, but you can't deny the impact he had on those growing up through the 80s & early 90s.

Hulkamania will run wild somewhere tonight.

RIP brother.

Put another way all the pro-wrestlers that competed in the main events of Wrestlemanias 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, and 9 are dead with the death of Hogan. (Wrestlemania 1 is a bit of an exception since there's one survivor, Mr. T)

Yes, I just edited that post to include more people. Crazy how young some of them were when they passed.

I tried Hogan's Real American beer last year. It tastes like real American piss water, but I'm gonna pick up a pack in honor.

Hulk is THE reason most of us even cared about wrestling. It's the reason WCW took off the way it did and he transformed wrestling into a Saturday Morning Cartoon and into the craziest thing in the late 90s. RIP, LEGEND!

Massive part of my childhood. I was such a fan, when wrestling wasn't on I'd watch this film on repeat just to get my Hulk fix.

Wrestling most likely wouldn't be as big if it wasn't for Hogan. Just look at the guys Vince tried to replace him with once he left WWE and none of them could come close to him. His heel turn will always be the greatest, I don't see how anyone including Cenas come close to that.

He did say stupid shit, but seems to be a different response compared to Ozzy dying who was a domestic abuser.

My interest in wrestling began and ended with Hulk Hogan's career n the WWF. I watched the Rock'n Wrestling cartoon and I'd stay up late saturday nights to watch WWF Saturday Night's Main Event. RIP to a real one. "I am a real American" will be my second national anthem till the day I die.

If you really want to see some sick, twisted, sad and disturbing shit go venture on over to the Purple Asylum to see what their reactions are to this.
Hell yeah, brother. It's too bad more people can't recognize what any kind of extremism leads to--at first, you're just celebrating the deaths of the people you disagree with. Next thing you know, you're using a "final solution" to your dissenters.

Unfortunately, out of all the the wrestlers from the 'rock n' wrestle' era, Hulk was my least favorite. Ultimate Warrior, Macho Man, Andre the Giant.

The Hulkster never really did anything for me, despite him being the face of that era. I liked him more as Hollywood Hogan.

But with that said.. yeesh... what a horrible week for legendary celebrities. Ozzy was a big one for me.

RIP.

I guess Hooters is back in the shitter.

We really are lucky to have so many brave internet warriors working overtime on letting us know they're glad Hogan is dead.

However I am worried our soldiers are losing their edge, as it appears to have taken all the way to page 7 reference Nazis.

Rip

It's too bad. I enjoyed his interviews in the last few years. He was clearly an intelligent guy. A guy like this would figure out how to get over with the audience.

No one recognizes the celebrities these days. I just realized in a few more years, all real celebrities will be gone and the only one people will recognize is Pedro Pascal.
