Naruto Manga Thread (OT) - The End is here

Wataru Takagi is Obito's new voice actor. The previous one was Naoya Uchida, who did his Madara voice and is now the VA for the real Madara.
Uchida Naoya was just Tobi's voice when he "got serious" and impersonated Madara. The rest of the time (when the character was first introduced back in 2007, for instance), Tobi was voiced by Takagi Wataru who currently plays Obito.

As a child, for the anime adaptation of Kakashi Gaiden, Sōsuke Uchida was Obito's kid voice. Now it's Megumi Han from episode 343 onwards.
I didn't say anything about child Obito.

So Sakura could have rolfstomped sasori by using forehead chakra at any time?

She didn't have the chakra ready at the time.

In truth though, the seal is a retroactive power up, and I'm okay with that. Fuck it. End of the manga is near.

Hell, I'm hoping to see a Slug Sage Mode for Sakura soon.

There better be a flashback to Sakura sage training if she has it. Sage training is sacred to me. Don't make it a random power up kishi

Tobi was voiced by Takagi Wataru? That's fairly impressive, I wouldn't have guessed. Can't say I like the voice he uses now though. The wacky voice worked because Tobi was just an absurd character, but now, eh, I don't know, just don't like it.

Something something Katsuyu something something perfect chakra control.

Wait there is another two year break?

Admittedly I just come here for a summary of the chapter and I don't really read them...I guess I should start ha.

If I where to start now, which chapter should I start with to be at the same place as the show?

No no, she has being gathering chakra ever since she started training in the first time skip.

His old voice was leagues better than his new one. It sounds much closer to the voice he has now, and it fit his character well. Megumi Han makes him sound

A) Younger than he is

B) Like a generic kid character

Will never get over them changing it for the worse. Especially when they decided to hammer flashbacks of kid Obito at us. Salt in the wound.

Agreeeed. The original VA was such a good pick, this one is just meh by comparison.

Should have been Fifth Hokage. Itachi and Kisame, together, bailed out when they saw him. Plus, this:

Damn I miss Jiraiya. He had the best character model to me.

Hmm not sure on Itach and Nagato. Nagato did take out bee and Naruto pretty easily by himself
And him not dodging Itachi's sword thing was probably Kabuto's fault.
Dude dont link to these illegal manga sites.

Power discussion in fiction always turn to mess. Hell there was endless debate about competition between characters. No one wins unless these characters faced each other.

God the anime is so much better for this arc than the manga. I can actually follow the action, there's been great pacing and animation, overall really incredible. I remember calling it quits around the time it was team Gai vs their clones, with needless endless padding. I wish I could find that gif of the (Gai vs Gai?) animation lazily floating from cliff to cliff. Uhg.

Good to see it's back to being in top form.

Come on y'all, Nagato is easily stronger than Itachi. Dude is ridonk. Both as Pain and as himself. Plus he took out Jiraiya, who was stronger than Itachi.

Now that you're talking about Sage mode I have questions:

- Naruto was trained by the frogs because of that prophecy, did Minato ever had Sage mode?
- If I remember correctly, Kabuto said he had Sage Mode from snakes even if Orochimaru didn't, so Sasuke doesn't know anything about that, even if the snakes like him (altough he killed one on Deidara's fight)
- There's no evidence that Tsunade had Sage mode.

Sooo, what are the requisites for one person to be considered for training?

The series is all about these damn parallels, so I don't see how Naruto won't end up with Sakura after Minato remarked on her similarity to Kushina.

Your defintely right about those damn parallels. Chances are it's gonna be Sakura. Hinata was the only person who came to naruto a receive during pain fight and she even confessed that she loved him and she doesn't get any response from naruto at all. It's so dumb. It's almost like he forgot about it due to transforming into nine tails soon after that. I'm gonna be so pissed if it's not Hinata at the end. They even did that hand holding thing during the war.

Sakura is flat as an ironing board and has a nasty temper and beats on people she supposedly cares about. Team any other girl than Sakura

Your a good person.

Minato has Sage Mode but he died before he mastered, so it's a very weak shitty version.

He also somehow mastered kurama chakra mode despite dying immediately after sealing kurama. Being revived by orochimaru right before he came onto the battlefield for the war, there was literally no time for him to master it.

Kishimoto is just pulling things out of his ass

He had 16 years to master it. It's said the death god seal was going to pit you and who you seal in an eternal battle. So what else can you do when you have 16 years of never ending battle? work out your differences.

So Hiruzen was fighting Oro's hands for 2 years? All the implications!

He sealed the 1st, 2nd, and arms. The arms probably just laid there doing nothing lol but the 1st and 2nd who knows if they actually fought or just sat around doing nothing since they really had no ill will towards each other.

So do you guys want naruto to end up with Hinata or Sakura?

Hinata or riot. Sakura had her chance.

Team NaruSaku ftw.

Sakura is the superior kunoichi, son.

I wouldn't call it an asspull because all Minato needed to do achieve KCM is to use the key to his seal the same way Naruto did, and since it's his seal he could easily modify it like Naruto did with the key in Gerotora. Also, Yin Kurama is cooperating.

Minato has Sage Mode but he died before he mastered, so it's a very weak shitty version.

Actually, Minato has mastered the technique of Sage Mode but he doesn't like using it because it takes too long, which makes sense since he's a speedster, so he doesn't have much practice with it.

I don't think he said it takes too long - it's just that he's never actually used it in battle before so he has no idea how to use it properly or mix it into his fighting style.

It seems all three summons(slug, snake, frog) use sage chakra, and teach it to their human summoners.

But most humans don't master it to a level to be able to use it during battle. I don't know what qualities they look for, but since so few humans have mastered sage mode, they probably try to teach it less and less.

So like, how did Minato master Kurama, he clearly has no memory of anything in the Death God, he had no time to do it after he was released.

well I guess had to have done while inside the death god. I wish all the hokages had come out completely insane due to years of constant fighting inside the death gos.

He is the one that did the seal. The one that let's you take the Kyuubi Chakra without the will. Also he had the nice Kurama inside of him, he was quick to cooperate.

now there's the question of why didn't he put the "nice" Kurama inside of Naruto, he sure put his son through hell by giving him the mean Kurama

Also to add to this, he was in no condition to even do anything. He had no arms so he couldn't make seals and his sage arts powers are pretty weak compared to J and Naruto. Kakashi even pointed that out to him, the poor guy died to soon.

That's a good question, he says that it was because he knew he would be able to tame it because it was his son. But Naruto was like an inch to becoming Gaara. A giant screw up on his part. I can't fault him for not thinking clearly, his entire world was coming down in a couple of minutes.

Wouldn't an offspring of Karin/Sasuke be able to awaken the rinnegan?

Nah, we learned that it takes Asura and Indra's Chakra to awaken it. Not just Senju and Uchiha. Even less Uchiha and Uzumaki, too diluted.

Edit:

Exactly but He had an arm that time, That's how he lost it.

He went sage an attacked Madara, then got his arm chopped and kick into Kakashi with the sage rasengan included. Kakashi Kamuis it and tanks it. Then he notice that rasengan was a lot weaker than a regular one, to which Minato says "Yeah, my sage mode isn't really good"

also, he lost his arm because he was an idiot and telegraphed his attack. Who fully extends their arm to attack something with godlike reflexes. It was like became dumber while in sage mode.

When did they say you needed the Inda's chakra to awaken the rinnegan?

When the Sage was explaining stuff to Naruto. He said Madera didn't just awaken the Madera but rather disrupted the flow of the reincarnations and make one for himself.

Of course later when found out, Black Zetzu was the one behind it, since he change the Uchiha tablet from the Hagoromo's bible into make Kaguya come back Recipe.

But someone like Danzo was never going to be able to awoke the rinegan.

Madara merged reincarnations when he fused hashirama cells on his own body. Thus he awoke the eyes. So chances are the Rinnegan can only be awoken if the two sons chakra are combined.

I don't think he said it takes too long - it's just that he's never actually used it in battle before so he has no idea how to use it properly or mix it into his fighting style.

I think he said something to the effect of both. I went back to read it and the translation was:

"Actually, I'm not good at senjutsu. It takes too long to knead that chakra and I can't maintain it for a long time. I've never really used it in an actual fight."

now there's the question of why didn't he put the "nice" Kurama inside of Naruto, he sure put his son through hell by giving him the mean Kurama

I think we can conclude from the contextual clues that Yin Kurama was nice because Yang Kurama was nice, though he doesn't show himself until later on.

also, he lost his arm because he was an idiot and telegraphed his attack. Who fully extends their arm to attack something with godlike reflexes. It was like became dumber while in sage mode.

This is very true.

Man when you phrase it like that, sounds like a crazy achievement. Someone merged reincarnations. I wonder though, are the different dimensions of different planets?

He did he disrupt it? Madara and Hashirama inherited Indra/Ashura.

He disrupted the flow in that, he didn't just awoke his indra powers but went above and beyond and make a rinnegan for himself, getting the Sage's power, then cheated death and got revived, so he was living when the other reincarnation was born, then he absorbed the Juubi and got the powers of the Rabbit Goddess. He shouldn't had being able to do that.

Saske is a punk. He talks shit then gets his ass kicked.

I just revisited the team Taka vs Killer B fight and goddamn he owned the shit of them and Sasuke in particular.

(Rolls over Sasuke in a sword fight)
(Brushes aside Sasuke's little buddies)
(Nearly clotheslines Sasuke in half)
(Blows them all up)
DANG THAT SASUKE GUY WAS ONE OF THE TOUGHEST NINJAS I'VE EVER FOUGHT.

Never change, Kishimoto.
