1. Sell it. PhysX with a second card just adds noise and heat with little benefit. Your card should still be worth at least $200 when the 800 series comes out.
2. That is custom loop stuff. Mkenyon is the resident expert, but you're looking at the basics below.
CPU Block - 60-100
GPU Block - ~100
Radiators - 100+
Pump 60-100
Fittings - 100+
Tubing - 20-30
Fans - 20-100+
dazmode has some good video guides on the basics of water-cooling here
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rmbmW-I8Bno
As for specific parts - that depends a lot on what you want to do, how much you want it spend, what you want it to look like and how much work you're willing to put it.
Watercooling is a deep dangerous hole, that you will never get out of but some say it's worth it (finishing my first WC build next month - I started over a year ago)
Hey guys, I finally have my new PC set up and plugged in the broadband ethernet cord today. The only problem is that whenever I try to connect to the internet, I keep getting error code 651. What can I do to resolve this issue?
Try installing (updating) your motherboard with the included disk first, find the LAN driver.
According to rumors, tomorrow at Gamecom at 1700 local time (Germany), Nvidia will have a finale of Gamescom and that the new 880 GPU and perhaps 870 GPU's will be announced. I also heard that they are broadcasting the finale, but can't seem to find a link on where to watch it. I am on the West Coast in the U.S., so that will be 8:00am PST for me.
Anyone heard of these rumors or where to watch the stream?
Yikes.... I may have bitten off more than I can chew..

1) I hope you aren't a liar.
2) I would LOVE to wake up to this tomorrow. Bring on the 880!
Are you using the power switch on the case itself, or are you bridging the two power pins on the board? It could potentially just be the case swtich...My PSU fans only spin with the paper clip test.
I plug it into the Motherboard (with just CPU in and the two power connectors) and nothing. Not a beep, not even a little twitch on the fans.
..... My motherboard is fried isn't it? I've only had this comp for like 2 weeks ffs.
It's a gigabyte z97mx gaming 5 for what it's worth.
Protip : usually things in bundles are things that aren't selling well. If you do get tall ram you can just shift the fan slightly higher. It will be less efficient but will still work.Everyone says to get low profile ram, but all I see in bundles is the bigger types. How would something like corsair vengeance pro be with a 212 EVO? That's what it's most likely to conflict with, right?
Bitfenix makes some nice extensions for a decent price. You're better off going that route than finding a psu with long cables.Guys any recommendations on a good PSU with long cables? one I have atm the cables can't be routed round the back especially the mobo power cables.
Also for GPU guess I should wait for the 800 series before upgrading my 7950?

Or learn how to custom sleeve.
You're better off getting a good psu and buying extensions than settling on whatever psu you find that happens to have long cables.was thinking of extensions but the price for them all is pretty big. suppose all i'd need is the 2 mobo power cables and the GPU cables. need a new PSU anyway since mine will need replaced when i get a new GPU

Hey guys,
Im thinking about upgrading my PC soon for Witcher 3 (High-Ultra) but im not sure what to upgrade.
A friend of mine said my CPU(I7-2600K @3.4 GHZ) is still relatively good and i should be good with a OC, is that true?
My GPU is a Geforce GTX 680 2GB and i have 8GB DDR3 RAM.
What GPU would you recommend me? i would be willing to pay up to 500 for a new GPU.
Also, is 8GB RAM enough or should i go with 16GB?
A lot can happen in 5 months. Wait. But yes your cpu is fine.Hey guys,

Did you update the bios?I just built my friend a cheap gaming PC with the MSI z97 PC Mate and G3258 combo from microcenter and everything is all good at stock, however when I try to overclock it, it hangs on the boot screen to an A2 error, which from what I've read is "checking io devices". I only have a SSD and HDD in there. Unplugging both doesn't get rid of the error, but clearing the CMOS does (along with the overclocking). I tried using the OC genie utility.
The PC then boots perfectly fine multiple times (i tried at least 5). If I try to overclock again, same error pops up until I clear the CMOS again. Could over clocking cause the A2 problem? Like I said, it still occurs even with the drives unplugged if I try to overclock which confuses me.
Did you update the bios?
There's been lots of reports of weird behavior with the Pentium on old bioses. I'd try that first. That's the first thing I'm going to try tonight. I finished the build up at 2 am and went to bed after installing all the drivers and stuff and troubleshooting a little lol.

Shit I almost forgot about that disk! Seems to be connecting now though, thanks!
as it seems I'm getting the money back for my defect gtx760. I'll probably take the money and upgrade.
what would be my best option in the 450-500 price-range? the next big pc-title I want to play is Dragon Age, so I can wait a bit - are there any new cards in the price-range on the horizon?
Newegg currently has the Gigabyte GA-Z97X-UD3H for $120 AR ($140 otherwise), and that's probably the best possible board you're getting in the price range you gave.
A friend of mine currently has this PSU: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B003M9RWGG/?tag=neogaf0e-20. He is planning on getting a 290x but I felt that his current PSU will not handle the new card too well. What PSU may you recommend to him?
What if I wanted to step it up to about $200? Also, I'm seeing great things about the Gigabyte boards. I also see that a lot of people have reported they needed to update bios immediately for some of the latest CPU's. Is that the case with all of the newer Gigabyte boards? Are there other boards in the same price range that I wouldn't have to update the bios the moment I boot the machine? It's not a huge deal if I have to update but I would prefer not to.

From what i read, this series of PSU was notoriously bad for providing the rated power delivery and poor efficiency.
Id recommend a Seasonic G series 650W PSU.
Is this old news? I don't want to make a new thread, because I don't know how reliable it is:
Nvidia GTX Titan II Flagship with GM200 Core Is Launching Sooner Than Expected Ready Within 2 Months
Sorry if old.
I'd buy a 290 and a new PSU. I'd not let any good card near that.
That is news to me. Unfortunately the Gamecom show finale was a bust and they showed nothing. Now my eyes turn to early/mid-September for a rumored announcement.
