When black men get weeded it activates their extra muscles allowing them to generate a lot of ki.

Come on it is completely understandable why the officer would fear for his life that is a lot of ki from that weed juice.

It's hilarious that we joked about Tim not coming prepared and... here we are. lol.

You have to admire his passion however. He really cares about this and his occupation.

Reports that they are about to start tear gassing soon. #ferguson

The police must've had a training class today. They're so personable before they shoot tear gas at you today. So nice. #STL #ferguson
Seems quiet, unless it's at another location.

I'm not sure walking up to a group of people asking for a "shotgun" is the best way to ask for a new mic...
Eh, press guys (who he was asking) know what a shotgun mic is, but I hear ya.

Why would the Governor get indicted here?

That's what he gets for wearing those stupid pants!

Because he has done almost nothing. For a whole week all he did was do pageantry stuff while his people were getting gassed and shot at with rubber bullets. There is an injustice and he has really done nothing. He cancelled his trip to the state fair to give everyone non-answers during his presser. He didn't finally step in until the press started getting arrested.

But people are watching him and the police and do want heads to roll for the things happening.

...You need to indict him with a crime. What's the crime? He could resign from being Governor, but that's unlikely unless someone makes him (AKA Obama).

Why? Why? For what? It sounds like it's been peaceful so far, right?

It's like they're not even waiting for an excuse now. Oh, almost time to start tear gassing now!

I'd have noped the hell out of there after the live fire shots last night.

He got hit by rubber bullets, tear gas, smoke, and live bullets flied past him. Yet he's STILL out there.

Can't have anything but respect for someone so dedicated.

His days as a police officer in Ferguson are probably over no matter what happens. The police in that community will not be trusted at all for a long time.

His days as a police officer are probably over in most of the US.

But yeah, let's go with not corroborated until more people say what that King guy is.

That motherfucker Nixon is a brilliant politician. It's part of why I dislike him: none of this is going to come back on him. Not. One. Bit. And because he's a Dem, Obama can't put his dumb ass on blast either. Sad but that's how it is.

It's an unfortunate reality here. The situation has been handled like shit, but he's the top dog here. If he goes, everybody else below him on the totem pole has to go first.

Right, it could be a set up for a no bill. A wink and a nudge from the prosecutor. I wasn't honestly thinking a prosecutor would so willingly se this city on fire, but who the hell knows.

okeydoke from the get go. the chief and the prosecutor and everyone else in a position of leadership in that municipality have to work together for things to be like they are right now.

This won't get anywhere when you have generations of good ole boys to weed through.

People are missing that this is why the protests and distrust and anger are out there. The expectation that nothing will come of it, that no one will be punished, that this death and others will be swept under the administrative rug or even stomped into the cracks. The most important thing to the law and order side is maintaining their reputations because if they lose their legitimacy, they're sunk, and who knows what else might be found out? When the prosecutor said it was an outrage that anyone would dare criticize the actions of the chief, that was it.

Holder needs to come in there and make some people recuse themselves, or else this will only get worse. If this cop gets off, things will burn.

Sorry For the language no bill is the gj declining charges, true bill is the gj handing down the indictment,
Guess we have to hope Wilson is at least a fucking ham sandwich then, because if a grand jury doesn't indict then it must have been a really poor job of prosecution. Don't grand juries have a much lower bar to clear for true bill given they are only moving a case to court, not handing down a verdict?

Why are we assuming that because his father was killed by a black man that McCulloch is incapable of performing his duties as the prosecuting attorney?

Because he publicly blasted the one and only good show of faith anyone gave the protesters, making the Highway Patrol chief the temporary Ferguson police chief, calling it "shameful".

Because he already has a history of siding with the police in controversial police abuse trials.

Oh, and because his mother and brother are cops as well.

Prosecutors will always have a bit of a problem with being biased towards cop simply because their jobs put them siding with the cop 99% of the time. It's just the nature of things. You put the rest of those biases on top, and there's just no way you can expect him to be impartial at all. If all there was, was a tragic story about his fathers death, I might be more sympathetic, but it just all combines to simply be too much.

Hell, an impartial prosecutor probably would have recused himself by now, simply because such widespread accusations should make you question if you're really the right man for the job.

How is Tim streaming this anyways?
One of those mobile network aggragating backpack setups?

I think so. He mentioned something about hooking a cable up, "to the backpack," last night.

Yeah, probably a satellite backpack/LiveView. It explains why he's able to be so mobile while news crews are stuck to their vans (since all the hookups/satellite stuff is in there).

It's been around since 08, I think? It just really started to take hold now.

How much are they?

Tim's gotten a lot of recognition for using it in the past. I remember him using it during the Brooklyn protests last year.

Correct. The purpose of the Grand Jury is to determine if there is probable cause which is substantially lower than the reasonable doubt standard. The poster you are responding to is as incredulous as I am (and also appears to be an attorney) that the prosecutor appears so unsure that there is even probable cause in this case.
