Nintendo's first party support for the 3DS already seems inadequate and scattershot. It's hard to imagine a split install base attracting developers, or even benefiting Nintendo.
Yep, they showed in the video its supposed to take place of the CPP and can control camera movement.
Yes, watch the reveal trailer for the new 3DS, it shows.
Only microSD.Does it still support regular SD cards?
Oh fuck that's right you just got an xl last week haha. That sucks.anyone wanna buy a mint condition 3DS XL
one week old
fuck
My main reservation about this new design is that right stick or C-stick as they kept calling it. Why not just make a second circle pad?
So the GPU is still the same?
It will suck really hard if they release exclusive titles...
Avoid the holiday period, smart.

Probably wont see New 3DS/XL until february or march in the west.
These changes are't notable?
Um, what dafuq are you smoking? While it may not be quite as convenient as a proper cloud based system, the 3DS's system transfer system is near flawless for what it is.

feels a bit late to release a new 3ds, not a lot of games coming out for the system.
I really don't understand Nintendo's way of thinking. New Nintendo 3DS! Right after they released a 2DS because nobody cared about 3D. The amount of games that are going to use those buttons is going to be minimal.
I laughed at the new "stick".

I heard some people say this thing was region free - is that true?

Guess I might finally jump in.
Don't see anything wrong with the nipple - I actually quite liked them on my old ThinkPads!
This is a real megaton. It tells us a few things I think:
- There is no "real" 3DS successor in the foreseeable future
- Nintendo has been thinking long and hard about how to extend the 3DS generation
- They've decided that a stop-gap measure with an improved 3DS can buy them a few years

Have we heard anything about it's region restriction status? This could potentially be my next import if so.

Same GPU
No higher res screen
Is rather pathetic for a new portable, even by Nintendo standards.
That would involve having both systems at the same time. So as the price of my 3DSXL now depreciates, I am expected to hang onto it, and go into a brick and mortar store and transfer shit in front of some shop clerks eyes, or take one home and sell the other later.
Maybe thats fine for the person that just owns multiple 3DS hardware for the laughs, but that aint me.
Well... I guess that's okay so I don't have to spend more money this holiday... but I was hoping I'd get to play Smash 3D on this thing BEFORE Smash U came out...NoA PR is out and no word about the New 3DS:

It's a transitional portable. Not a completely new platform.

Is that really that hard?
